[ Read Full Story ]To all you out there in yer bunkers having heavily invested in canned food and shotguns waiting for the zombie apocalypse – SchNEWS is sorry to have to inform you but you're going the wrong way about it – it turns out there's really only one surefire defence against the slavering hordes of the feral undead – Brighton and Hove council's commitment to Health and Safety.
For a few years now Brighton has annually played host to two shambling processions by the brain-dead. One on St George's Day – the ever-welcome March for England and the other the “Beach of the Dead" due to take place in a fortnight.
“Beach of the Dead” sees thousands of the mutilated walking dead descend on our seaside town, hang out on the beach, buy sticks of rock and gnaw on human flesh.
Not this year though as organisers have pulled the event (under police pressure?) over safety fears, saying they didn't have the cash to provide the required stewarding.
Will heads roll?
