Clearwire Corp. Chairman McCaw Resigns
Clearwire Corp. (CLWR) Chairman Craig McCaw has resigned from the board, according to an SEC Form 8-K filing out late Thursday which did not give a reason for the departure. McCaw had been chairman of Clearwire for two years and chaired its predecessor for five years. The Wall Street Journal reported that Clearwire faces the challenges of smoothing its relations with its parent, Sprint Nextel Corp. (S) and in raising funds to build out its network. What to Watch: June 12, 2012
Good morning, welcome to the Financial News Network, your source for the latest business news. Here's a few things to watch for in the financial world today June 12. Investors seemed to like the European Central Bank plan to lend Spain up to 100 euros. But, as trading continued yesterday, concerns over the lack of detail in the plan rose, making stocks plummet. The Dow had triple digit losses and hopes to make a recovery today. It will be an uphill battle though. Fitch Ratings cut both BBVA and Banco Santander, two of Spain's biggest banks, to BBB+ from A. It also lowered Spain's overall sovereign rating three notches to BBB and place the country on negative outlook, meaning a further downgrade could come later. All in all though, stocks are higher in early trading and the central bank's rescue fund should do what it set out to do. Sprint (NYSE:S) is no longer the majority owner of Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ:CLWR). The phone company surrendered some of its stake, making its ownership less than 50%. Both companies say this does not change their relationship, nor will it change in the future. Sprint partnered with Clearwire to have it help in the development of its 4G network. Finally, Apple announced some new products yesterday including an all new MacBook Pro laptop that will be a contender in both the notebook and ultrabook market. The new device is very thin, as thin as a MacBook Air, but still has the power and amazing display of a high-end laptop. Apple also ...

CRK, MLNK, PKT, FTK - Stock Charts - Harry Boxer, TheTechTrader.com
12/06/11 - The stock market was mixed and choppy on Tuesday, although we did have some winners, so we'll take a look at some of those. www.TheTechTrader.com Comstock Resources Inc. (CRK) on positive news of an acquisition, popped 2.43, or 14.4%, on just under 5 million shares. That's the biggest volume in several years. It opened on Tuesday at 16.79, and ran up to 19.56, closing at 19.32. It was significant, because the 21- and 50-day moving averages were taken out, however, this stock should be watched on Wednesday. If there's a follow-through, we could see this stock get into the low 20's, maybe ever up towards the 23 - 24 range. That's the short-term target on this one. http ModusLink Global Solutions, Inc. (MLNK) had a nice pop on Tuesday, running from 4.25 up to 5.20, closing at 5.04, or 13%. The volume was a decent 614.000 shares. The over all patterns show that the big down channel was broken, new up trends have begun, lateral resistance was taken out on Tuesday as was secondary resistance, but it did back off, and closed below that level. We have to watch Tuesday's high at 5.20 short-term. Secondary target is up around 5.70. www.TheTechTrader.com Procera Networks, Inc. (PKT) has a beautiful swing trade. We liked this stock at the end of last year when it ran from about the 6 range up into the 12 range, it pulled back in the summer, and then had a run from 7 1 up to the high of 17 1/2 just in the last couple months. On Tuesday it was up another 1.01 to 17.06, or ...
