Richard Moore (7 March 1849 – 12 September 1936) was an independent conservative Member of Parliament in New Zealand and Mayor of Kaiapoi.
Moore was born in London on 7 March 1849, the son of shoemaker John Moore and his wife Ann. He left England with his family on the Steadfast in February 1851, which arrived in Lyttelton on 8 June of that year.
He was Mayor of Kaiapoi from 1884 to 1887.
In the 1887 election, he unsuccessfully contested the Kaiapoi electorate against Edward Richardson.
He represented Kaiapoi from 1890 to 1893, when he was defeated, and from 1896 to 1899, when he was again defeated.
He was later made a member of the Legislative Council (1914–1935). In 1935, he was awarded the King George V Silver Jubilee Medal.
Moore died in 1936 at his home in the Christchurch suburb of Cashmere, and was buried at Kaiapoi Cemetery.
Richard Moore (October 4, 1925 - August 16, 2009) was an American cinematographer. In 1953, Moore teamed with Robert Gottschalk to co-found Panavision, a company which introduced a new hand-held studio camera that could record both sight and sound at the same time.
Moore was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, on October 4, 1925. He received a bachelor's degree in cinema from the University of Southern California. Following graduation, Moore began working on travelogues and documentaries.
Moore collaborated with Robert Gottschalk in 1953 to co-found Panavision, a motion picture equipment company specializing in cameras and lenses. Among the company's innovations, Panavision developed a specific camera lens for use in widescreen format which is called Cinemascope. In the 1970s, the company revolutionized the film industry when it introduced a new hand-held studio camera that could record sight and sound simultaneously. In a 2005 interview with Daily Variety, Moore explained that his connections with Panavision seemed to him to be purely by chance, "Becoming a cameraman and becoming part of Panavision was strictly -- I don't know what you'd call it -- luck or fate. It's something that I didn't plan on. It just happened."
In the law enforcement jargon, a suspect is a known person accused or suspected of committing a crime. Police and reporters in the United States often use the word suspect as a jargon when referring to the perpetrator of the offense (perp in dated US slang). However in official definition, the perpetrator is the robber, assailant, counterfeiter, etc.—the person who actually committed the crime. The distinction between suspect and perpetrator recognizes that the suspect is not known to have committed the offense, while the perpetrator—who may not yet have been suspected of the crime, and is thus not necessarily a suspect—is the one who actually did. The suspect may be a different person from the perpetrator, or there may have been no actual crime, which would mean there is no perpetrator.
A common error in police reports is a witness description of the suspect (as a witness generally describes a perpetrator, while a mug shot is of suspect). Frequently it is stated that police are looking for the suspect, when there is no suspect; the police could be looking for a suspect, but they are surely looking for the perpetrator, and very often it is impossible to tell from such a police report whether there is a suspect or not.

The series recounts the early adventures of Kryptonian Clark Kent as he adjusts to life in the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas, during the years before he becomes Superman. The second season comprises 23 episodes and concluded its initial airing on May 20, 2003. Regular cast members during season two include Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, Sam Jones III, Allison Mack, Annette O'Toole and John Schneider. John Glover who was a recurring guest in season one was promoted to regular for season two. At the end of season one, Eric Johnson, who portrayed Whitney Fordman, had left the show.
Season two picks up directly where season one ended, with Clark (Welling) dealing with the aftermath of the tornadoes that hit Smallville. This season, Clark finally learns who he is and where he comes from, but must also acknowledge a potential destiny set into motion by his biological father that could change his life and the lives of those around him forever. Clark's relationship with Lana Lang (Kreuk) becomes increasingly closer, straining his friendship with Chloe Sullivan (Mack). Clark's best friend, Pete Ross (Jones III), learns Clark's secret this season.
Suspect (German: Der Verdacht) is a 2008 short film. It was the final graduation project of director Felix Hassenfratz at the Internationale filmschule köln. The story, inspired by true events and based on the documentary The Baker Did It, is set in a southern German province with the Badisch dialect. The film is a co-production with the broadcast stations SWR and ARTE, and supported by a German film fund. Despite its regional emphasis, Suspect is a universal story, focused on human behaviour, a story about love in the face of doubt.
What to do and whom to believe when you live in a small village and your husband, the village baker, is the suspect in an unsolved murder? He’s not from the village and your mother still doesn’t accept his taking over the family business after your father's death. You also find a shirt stained with blood and a gun kept in a locked cabinet, and he insists he’s innocent. Can love overcome doubt?

Mooré (known in the language as Mõõré; also Mòoré, Mooré, Moré, Moshi, Moore, More) or simply the Mossi language, is one of two official regional languages of Burkina Faso, closely related to the Frafra language spoken just across the border in the northern half of Ghana and less-closely to Dagbani and Mampruli further south. It is the language of the Mossi people, spoken by approximately 5 million people in Burkina Faso, plus another 60,000+ in Mali and Togo. While Mooré is often referred to as "the Mossi language," many Burkinabé of other ethnic groups also speak Mooré, as it is the lingua franca in rural regions where knowledge of French is very limited.
