Aswan (English pronunciation: /ˌæsˈwÉ‘Ë?n/; Egyptian Arabic: أسوان AswÄ?n [ʔɑsˈwÉ‘Ë?n]; Ancient Egyptian: Swenett; Coptic: ⲥⲟⲩâ²?â²› Souan; Ancient Greek: Συήνη Syene), formerly spelled Assuan, is a city in the south of Egypt, the capital of the Aswan Governorate.
Aswan is a busy market and tourist centre located just north of the Aswan Dams on the east bank of the Nile at the first cataract. The modern city has expanded and includes the formerly separate community on the island of Elephantine.
Aswan is the ancient city of Swenett, which in antiquity was the frontier town of Ancient Egypt facing the south. Swenett is supposed to have derived its name from an Egyptian goddess with the same name. This goddess later was identified as Eileithyia by the Greeks and Lucina by the Romans during their occupation of Ancient Egypt because of the similar association of their goddesses with childbirth, and of which the import is "the opener". The ancient name of the city also is said to be derived from the Egyptian symbol for trade, or market.
Egypt (i/ˈiË?dʒɪpt/; Arabic: Ù…Ù?صر‎ Miá¹£r, Egyptian Arabic: مَصر Maá¹£r, Coptic: Ⲭâ²?ⲙⲓ Khemi), officially the Arab Republic of Egypt, is a transcontinental country spanning the northeast corner of Africa and southwest corner of Asia, via a land bridge formed by the Sinai Peninsula. It is the world's only contiguous Eurafrasian nation. Most of Egypt's territory of 1,010,408 square kilometres (390,000 sq mi) lies within the Nile Valley. Egypt is a Mediterranean country. It is bordered by the Gaza Strip and Israel to the northeast, the Gulf of Aqaba to the east, the Red Sea to the east and south, Sudan to the south and Libya to the west.
Egypt has one of the longest histories of any modern country, arising in the tenth millennium BC as one of the world's first nation states. Considered a cradle of civilisation, Ancient Egypt experienced some of the earliest developments of writing, agriculture, urbanisation, organised religion and central government. Iconic monuments such as the Giza Necropolis and its Great Sphinx, as well the ruins of Memphis, Thebes, Karnak, and the Valley of the Kings, reflect this legacy and remain a significant focus of archaeological study and popular interest worldwide. Egypt's rich cultural heritage is an integral part of its national identity, having endured, and at times assimilated, various foreign influences, including Greek, Persian, Roman, Arab, Ottoman, and European. Although Christianised in the first century of the Common Era, it was subsequently Islamised due to the Islamic conquests of the seventh century.
Travel video about destination Aswan in Egypt. From a distance Aswan appears to be a small, rather idyllic and sleepy city but around two hundred and eighty thousand people live on Egypt’s southern border. It is impossible not to be captivated by the pulsating life of the mysterious and strange streets of Aswan. Even today the colourful displays of goods in the souks are dominated by the historical South African caravan trade. The city is well known for its traditional bazaars. Depending on the time of day, everyday life is relatively calm and interrupted only by the hectic hustle and bustle of the traders. Aswan is synonymous with immense dams. In 1902 the first dam on the Nile was completed by the British. The Soviet Union sponsored the construction of an even larger dam. In 1971 the Sa...

http://khemitology.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/April-2016-Techno-Spiritual-IV-Tour-itinerary.pdf Although most academics believe that the dynastic Egyptians effectively worked hard stone such as granite and basalt with simple copper, bronze and stone tools, this video reveals otherwise. There are 2 unfinished obelisks in the quarry at Aswan, for example that could not have been shaped with simple tools such as those listed above. They must have been the work of a much older culture with Lost Ancient High Technology...
What have you done with me?
You ruined everything
and you don't even see
I still can't believe this is real
My mind plays tricks on me
Please wake me up and say it was just a bad dream
I can't talk
I can't think
I feel dead
All I see is red
I am sick
I can't get up
I see no way out
I need drugs
What have you done with me?
You ruined everything
I bet you don't even see
I want peace
Don't know where to start
I don't wanna feel like this
I'll cut out this heart
Feed it to the pigs
