M2SYS Technology provides technology that makes biometric software affordable, simple to integrate, and inexpensive to support, while enabling customers to easily utilize the right form of biometric technology for their needs. Their software accelerates the adoption of biometric technology, leading to a faster and more widespread delivery of its many benefits.
History
Incorporated in 2001 as a small software company that developed supply chain software. As the company explored other areas of technology innovation, it later pursued fingerprint biometric research and development after the invention of its flagship solution, Bio-Plugin.
Application developers integrate Bio-Plugin to provide seamless fingerprint recognition for market segments such as law enforcement, education, fitness and leisure, time and attendance, banking, child care, transportation security, and health care. Also, M2SYS claims that their software eliminates the development cycle related to a Fingerprint SDK.
In 2007, the company received the 2007 Biometrics Technology Innovation of the Year Award from Frost & Sullivan.
In the summer of 2010, M2SYS released “Hybrid Biometric Platform,” a client/server biometric software system that supports fingerprint, finger vein, palm vein, and iris recognition.
Key Strategic Partnerships
Fujitsu
In April of 2010, M2SYS created a strategic alliance with Fujitsu Frontech North America designed to spur the widespread growth and adoption of PC-based palm vein biometric recognition systems. Under the partnership, M2SYS added support for the Fujitsu PalmSecure biometric identification system to its Bio-Plugin biometrics platform.
KRONOS
In June of 2009, M2SYS established a key strategic partnership with KRONOS, a global company that helps organizations across a variety of industries manage their workforce. Through the partnership, the M2SYS
Bio-SnapON™ software interfaces with KRONOS Workforce Timekeeper. KRONOS integrates the M2SYS Bio-Plugin biometric identification engine with their time and attendance software through a web interface that allows for rapid authentication of an individual and seamless data capture that is automatically uploaded and stored.
Hitachi
M2SYS established a key partnership with Hitachi in 2008 to deliver their flagship Bio-Plugin biometric identification software technology through the USB Finger Vein Biometric Scanner for market deployment. Hitachi’s finger vein reader uses near infrared light to capture images of the vein patterns inside of your finger which is then used as a biometric template for individual identification through the M2SYS Bio-Plugin software.
Key Products
Bio-Plugin
Bio-Plugin™ is a revolutionary biometrics software solution that allows developers to rapidly integrate a server-based, turnkey biometrics system without the development work required from a low level biometric SDK.
Bio-Plugin™ is also a biometric SDK alternative that can be seamlessly integrated into any Windows or Web software in just a few hours, completely eliminating the development work and support challenges that engineers would otherwise face.
Bio-SnapOn
Bio-SnapOn™ is a complete biometrics software system that can be instantly added (“snapped-on”) to any third party or internally developed software package, without any development work.
Hybrid Biometric Platform
Hybrid Biometrics™ enables you to tailor a biometric deployment model based on the unique needs of customers and/or end users, and easily switch between four biometric engines without having to install any new software. This unparalleled flexibility produces near 100% read rates for any user, under any condition, and results in the lowest possible total cost of ownership compared to other options.
Using M2SYS' patent-pending Bio-Plugin™ middleware, software developers can integrate Hybrid Biometrics™ in a matter of hours and immediately have the ability to deploy the form of biometric technology that best neutralizes varying user, demographic, and environmental conditions.
Parallel Server
The M2SYS Parallel Server is a highly scalable fingerprint biometrics recognition system that leverages distributed node balancing for fast, 1:N identification of large databases. The solution can be used in a variety of mission-critical environments where the quick authentication of a high number of individuals from many simultaneous clients is required.
