Chloe Lane

Chloe Lane is a fictional character from the American NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives, portrayed by actress and singer Nadia Bjorlin. She was first introduced in November 1999, created by then-head writer Tom Langan. Bjorlin played Chloe nearly continuously from 1999 through 2005, and from 2007 until 2011, when she decided not to renew her contract with the soap. Bjorlin announced during an interview with TV Guide that she would return to Days of our Lives once again. She made her return on January 7, 2013, and remained until April 16, 2013. Bjorlin returned to the role, in a two-episode stint in celebration of the soap's fiftieth anniversary celebration on August 3, 2015. She returned for another visit in January 2016 and is expected to return full-term in the spring.

Chloe arrived in Salem in the year 1999, having lived in an orphanage for fifteen years. She reunited with her birth mother, Nancy Wesley and they faced issues in their mother-daughter relationship. Chloe's social life was also bad, she was bullied at school for her personality and appearance, leading to her being popularly called "Ghoul girl" by her peers. In spite of this, she managed to form a relationship with Philip Kiriakis. Chloe, who is also an opera singer, has diverted away from her early dark image over the years. She has been married three times, two of which have ended in divorce with one being annulled. She also shares a child with her ex-husband Daniel Jonas, Parker.

Chloe

Chloe (also Chloë, Cloe, Chlöe, Chloé, Clowy, Kloe, Khloe, Khloë, Khloé, Kloé or Kloë) is a first or given name for girls, especially popular in the United Kingdom since about 1990. The name comes from the Greek χλόη (khlóē), of the many names of the Greek goddess Demeter, and refers to the young, green foliage or shoots of plants. The name appears in the New Testament, in 1 Corinthians 1:11 in the context of "the house of Chloe". The French equivalent is spelled Chloé.

Popularity

In Northern Ireland, Chloe was one of the most popular names for newborns from 1997 to 2002, followed by Emma in 2003. It was also one of the most popular girls' names throughout the UK for the seven years preceding 2002. In 2013, it was the fourth most popular name for girls in Australia. It was also found that Chloe was the most common first name of escorts in the UK.

"Our Lives" is a song by the rock band The Calling. It was released on the first single of their album Two released on June 8, 2004. This single peaked at number #13 on the UK Singles Chart. It was used as the theme song to the short lived series "Clubhouse" on CBS.

Nadia Bjorlin

Nadia Alexandra Bjorlin (born August 2, 1980) is an American actress, singer, and model.

Early life and education

Björlin was born on August 2, 1980 in Newport, Rhode Island. She is the second eldest child of Swedish composer and conductor Mats Ulf Stefan Björlin and Fary Bjorlin (née Dadashi), an Iranian interior designer.

Björlin is fluent in English, Swedish, and Persian and is also schooled in French, Italian, and Russian. She has an older brother Ulf Alexander Jr. and a younger brother Jean-Paul. She also has an older half-brother Kaj, and two older half-sisters Katja and Kamilla, from her mother's first marriage.

Bjorlin's family moved to her father's native country of Sweden while she was still an infant. She has described her childhood as "wonderful" with "loving parents and siblings to lean on", although Bjorlin recalls being "oblivious" to racial tensions going on in Sweden. Although she never attended school there, a few of her siblings did and she remembers them talking about how they "experienced some torment" from classmates due to being half-Iranian. Being born after the Revolution of Iran, Bjorlin says she "grew up in a time where Iranians were looked down upon in places of the world".

Lane

In the context of traffic control, a lane is part of a carriageway (roadway) that is designated for use by a single line of vehicles, to control and guide drivers and reduce traffic conflicts. Most public roads (highways) have at least two lanes, one for traffic in each direction, separated by lane markings. On multilane roadways and busier two-lane roads, lanes are designated with road surface markings. Major highways often have two multi-lane roadways separated by a median.

Some roads and bridges that carry very low volumes of traffic are less than 15 feet (4.6 m) wide, and are only a single lane wide. Vehicles travelling in opposite directions must slow or stop to pass each other. In rural areas, these are often called country lanes. In urban areas, alleys are often only one lane wide. Urban and suburban one lane roads are often designated for one-way traffic.

Lane capacity varies widely due to conditions such as neighbouring lanes, lane width, elements next to the road, number of driveways, presence of parking, speed limits, number of heavy vehicles and so on - the range can be as low as 1000 passenger cars / hour to as high as 4800 passenger cars /hour but mostly falls between 1500 to 2400 passenger cars / hour.
