Indy is getting closer and closer to his final goal. It won't be far now, but the Netherworld is the most twisted and deadly area you've encountered yet. LEVEL 1: The Pillars of the Underworld OBJECTIVE: Cross the wall of dreams to reach the Emperor's Crypt. The first area of the underworld takes place along a large wall that's destroyed in parts. Getting across it will require both good combat and jumping skills. There's a pattern in this level: first you run across a group of enemies, and then you have a section of pit to cross by raising platforms. This will repeat several times, and the strategies in the next paragraph will apply for all the battles. Not far from the start of the level, you'll run across you first group of enemies. You should use this general strategy against all the groups of enemies, since they're all relatively the same. The first enemy you should take out is the blue wraith. If you don't, he'll take pot shots of you with the energy spheres while you're fighting the Terracotta soldiers. You can attack the spirit by either throwing your Pa Cheng or by reflecting the spheres back at him (using the protective sphere the Pa Cheng can create). After he's defeated, concentrate on the soldiers. Swing the Pa Cheng with your fists to dismantle them, and then destroy the orange spirits that possessed them. Once the enemies are dead, head down the wall to the pillars. Each pillar will cause a platform to rise from below. You want to raise them in the correct ...

[Checkpoint] Midas room - The level begins where the previous one left you. Go up the stairs to enter Midas room. Two gorillas will attack from beyond, so draw weapons and kill them. If you proceed further into the room, one more will show up, so stay sharp. If you want, you can kill them from the ledge with the switch that will be described in a while. The statue you see on the other side is Midas'. According to the Greek mythology, Midas was a king of Phrygia, who had the power to transform whatever he touched into gold. So, the hand in this room has its meaning. If Lara jumps on the hand, she will be transformed into gold and die. So, do not it before getting a Checkpoint. To the left of the entrance is a fountain you can climb on. Do that and jump to grab the crevice in the wall. Jump to grab the ledge above and traverse to the left. I am now convinced that, if I can obtain it, I will finally discover what happened to my bevoled Amelia." Lara is climbing up the rocks to the monastery at the same time. She picks up a can and realizes that someone else was here before her. "Oh, Pierre, litter bug." [Checkpoint] Room with tall pillars - As soon as the level begins, draw weapons and proceed ahead. Two lions will appear behind the pillars, so kill them both. In the cut scene, Lara hears a voice from a man that is talking to her. Lara recognizes his voice and advises Pierre to move on, because Natla does not honor her contracts. He tells her that they (Pierre and Natla) understand each other; he finds things for her and she rewards him handsomely. It is obvious that Lara has not spotted Pierre yet, that's why she points her guns around. Pierre thinks that since Lara seeks for the same things and believes her insticts, she is not trusted and is in second place. He, on the other hand, is a professional, since he focus on the job and gets paid. Lara tells him that there is more to life than money, but Pierre says that there is a difference between life and business. However, Lara has managed to get a piece of the Scion. LEVEL 5: The Gates of Neptune OBJECTIVES: * Make your way to the Temple of Poseidon. * Find the Wine Coin. * Find the Seahorse Coin. * Find the Trident Coin. * Find the Kraken Coin. Getting into the Temple of Poseidon isn't as simple as just finding a way inside; you'll need to collect four hidden coins found in the watery ruins to get inside. These coins can be difficult to find if you don't know where to look. Below is a brief look at where the coins are, with more detailed descriptions and the walkthrough for the whole level following. WINE COIN: Found in the first room of the level. Climb up on the platform and make your way around the pieces of above-water ruins until you come to a staircase. Go up, jump across the gap, and go into the cave to find the coin. SEAHORSE COIN: This is found in the room that contains the demolition charges. From where you get the charges, drop into the water and swim down to the end. A cracked wall is on the back of a submerged building. Plant the charge on it to open up the room with the coin. TRIDENT COIN: This is found within the large, cracked wall by the pillars in the same room as the Seahorse Coin (but above the water). Blow it open with a demolition charge. KRAKEN: Found in the room containing the murals where you put the coins. It's at the bottom of the lake just before it. From the start of the level, drop down into the water and swim to the center of the ruins. There's a low platform that you can climb up on to. Climb up on the ...

A pillar tomb is a monumental grave the central feature of which is a single, prominent pillar or column, often made of stone.
Photo of pillar tomb at Gede, Kenya
A number of world cultures incorporated pillars into tomb structures, notably the ancient Greek colony of Lycia in Anatolia (e.g., the tomb at Xanthos) and the medieval Muslim Swahili culture of the east African coast (e.g., tombs at Malindi and Mnarani in Kenya), which were originally built of coral rag, but later of stone.
