Syria and Iran threaten retaliation against Israel (Second Coming Watch Update #302)
Released: February 1, 2013 By: Daniel Whyte III
1. According to The Associated Press, Syria and Iran have threatened to retaliate for an Israeli air raid near Damascus. The Syrian ambassador to Lebanon said Damascus has "the option to retaliate." He stated that he cannot predict when the retaliation will occur and said it is up to relevant authorities to prepare for it. In Iran, the Deputy Foreign Minister was quoted as saying that the raid on Syria will have significant implications for the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.
2. According to The Washington Post, Russia has joined Lebanon in condemning Israel's air strike on an arms convoy inside Syria. Hez-boll-ah, which is closely aligned with both Syria and Iran, condemned the airstrike as "barbaric aggression" and expressed "full solidarity with Syria's army and people." Russia, Syria's chief patron, said the strike would constitute "unprovoked attacks on targets in the territory of a sovereign country, which blatantly violates the U.N. Charter and is unacceptable, no matter the motives to justify it."
3. According to The Associated Press, a magnitude-6.8 earthquake shook offices, toppled supermarket shelves and broke windows in north-central Chile, where people fled some buildings in panic. A 50-year-old woman died of a heart attack attributed to fear during the quake. Authorities said that damage was limited and discounted the possibility of a tsunami.
4. According to Ynet News, a United Nations fact-finding mission says the Israeli government's settlement policy has violated the rights of Palestinians. The panel's report to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva says the settlements exist for the exclusive benefit of Israeli Jews, creating a system of total segregation. The investigators called on Israel to halt settlement expansion and withdraw all Jewish settlers from the West Bank.
5. According to The Associated Press, the United Nations nuclear agency has told member nations that Iran is poised for a major technological upgrade of its uranium enrichment program. The move would vastly speed up Tehran's ability to make material that can be used for both reactor fuel and nuclear warheads. Iran's nuclear agency has plans to install high-technology centrifuges at its main enriching site. The machines are estimated to be able to enrich up to five times faster than the present equipment.
The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:4: "And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away."

Russian Adoption Ban Part III - Now We Have Russian Adoption Ban
http://internationaladoptionministry.org - Now We Have Russian Adoption Ban As a result Russian orphans are being used as political pawns. There is huge opposition, and the newspaper Novaya Gazeta has collected over 100,000 signatures in an online petition against the Russian adoption ban. Please, open your eyes people of Russia, don't get duped by some of the liars in Russian government. Your own children are at stake. Right now, almost every adoption of a special needs Russian child is a Rescue Mission! Why, do you only rely so much on your traditional media, like: radio, TV and newspapers? Go online! Read about what is going on in your country not from your traditional media, but from other independent sources! Here is case in point. "Radio -- The Voice of Russia" -- a Moscow based Radio station, sponsored by the Russian Government is trying to mislead the people by saying things like: Radio -- The Voice of Russia -- "Foreign child adoption as sound "investment" and business for Americans" Radio -- The Voice of Russia -- Another fact that few pay attention to but is also important is the tax breaks that Americans may receive for adopting foreign children, there is the primary tax break for having a dependent child (applicable to all adoptions) and then tax breaks for foreign travel and "charitable contributions" Radio -- The Voice of Russia -- "One "Christian" organization in Russia openly states that the cost of a Russian child was $5,000, almost nothing when Americans are ready to pay from $35,000 to $120,000 for a white blue-eyed child. The profits to be had are huge." Our Reply - Really? Lets look at it: We were involved in helping and following many American families trying to adopt orphans from Russia. Most of these families are getting themselves financially in debt, trying to deal with the mounting costs of adoption from Russia, averaging about $50,000 each, where Russia's portion is $32,000, according to a yearly Adoptive Families Adoption Cost Survey. If this was a sound "investment" from a business perspective, then where is the profit? Tax breaks? Give me a break, no pun intended, designed to ease the tremendous financial sacrifice on the part of the family offsets only about 20% of an average Russian adoption cost = $12,970. This little bit of help comes during an individual, year end, tax filling paperwork, so it is not immediate. I wonder if a Russian family, wanting to adopt, would receive any such help from Russia? "The Voice of Russia is purposely misleading their reader by saying that Americans have several different tax breaks regarding adoption. There is only one tax break that I have mentioned above, and it includes any adoption costs, like: adoption agency, lawyer, foreign travel, etc. Charitable contributions are usually made by family and friends to help raise this tremendous amount required to adopt- published: 30 Aug 2013
