You know how at the prom, everyone goes for uber-glitz and black-tie formal, only its done through the filter of a 17-year-old fashion sense — or rather, what a 17-year-old would think was formal black-tie fashion sense? So the end result is a really weird mix of over-the-top gaudiness that may have been expensive but looks cheap? Thats kind of the feel I get from looking at pictures from the 7th Annual Korea Film Awards. Of course there are some standouts — Han Ye-seul glammed it up with the appropriate touch of class and sexiness — but there were also a lot of beautiful women in ugly dresses that looked more off-the-rack Jessica McClintock (hey, its fake prom!) than red-carpet awards ceremony. So if were talking red-carpet wow factor, it was a decided step down from, say, last months lovely Blue Dragon Awards. As for the awards themselves, no surprises if youve been watching the accolades accumulate all year long. The Chaser was the overwhelming winner, with The Good, The Bad, The Weird taking up (a distant) second place. A few notable exceptions from the rule were Kang Ji-hwan (A Movie Is a Movie) and Gong Hyo-jin (Crush and Blush), but you can check out the full list (and, of course, the fashions!) below the jump. WINNERS LIST Best Picture: The Chaser Best Director: Na Hong-jin (The Chaser) Best Actor: Kim Yoon-seok (The Chaser) Best Actress: Gong Hyo-jin (Crush and Blush) Best Supporting Actor: Park Hee-soon (Seven Days) Best Supporting Actress: Kim Ji-young (Forever ...

The Boy In The Plastic Bubble
The Boy In The Plastic Bubble
** John Travolta's amazing break out movie and one his best ever ** Tod Lubitch is born with a deficient immune system (which is unlike being born with AIDS). As such, he must spend the rest of his life in a completely sterile environment. His room is completely hermetically sealed against bacteria and virus, his food is specially prepared, and his only human contact comes in the form of gloved hands. The movie follows his life into a teenager.

Now on DVD from Zeitgeist Video. How far would you travel to heal someone you love? An intensely personal yet epic spiritual journey, The Horse Boy follows one Texas couple and their autistic son as they trek on horseback through Outer Mongolia in a desperate attempt to treat his condition with shamanic healing. When two-year-old Rowan was diagnosed with autism, Rupert Isaacson, a writer and former horse trainer, and his wife Kristin Neff, a psychology professor, sought the best possible medical care for their son—but traditional therapies had little effect. Then they discovered that Rowan has a profound affinity for animals—particularly horses—and the family set off on a quest for a possible cure. The Horse Boy is part travel adventure, part insight into shamanic tradition and part intimate look at the autistic mind. In telling one familys extraordinary story, the film gives voice to the thousands who display amazing courage and creativity everyday in the battle against this mysterious and heartbreaking epidemic. The filmic companion to Isaacsons best-selling book of the same name and a festival favorite, this ravishing documentary odyssey gives insight into how, in lifes darkest moments, one can find the gateway to joy and wonder. The War Boys - First Gay Love Scene
The War Boys - First Gay Love Scene
After a little bit of the preceding scene (where Marta, played by Micaela Nevárez, and Greg, played by Victor Rasuk, are parting ways), we come to the first gay sex (love) scene in the movie The War Boys (2009). This is the first of two such scenes in the film. This scene may be puzzling to those who have not seen the movie, so here's a bit of context. Earlier, three best friends (David, George, and Greg) had been out in the desert where one of them (George) falls into a patch of cactus and gets cactus spines lodged in his buttocks. Now, he is being helped by his friend (David), who is removing the cactus spines. The actors are Benjamin Walker (who plays David, the one removing the spines) and Brian J. Smith (who plays George, the one having the spines removed). Obviously, falling into a cactus patch, and having to have your best friend remove the spines from your buttocks, is a plot contrivance that the writers used as an excuse to have one character unclothed while his buttocks are carefully examined by another character. However, it does lead to very dramatic and erotic confrontation between the two male leads. Brian J. Smith may be familiar to science fiction fans for his work on the Stargate Universe television series. He also appeared in the film Hate Crime (2005), where he played a gay man who is the victim of a brutal hate crime.

Two Little Boys - Rolf Harris
Two Little Boys - Rolf Harris
Two Little Boys. The song "Two Little Boys" sung by Rolf Harris. From Wikipedia, "Two Little Boys" is a popular song written by Theodore Morse and Edward Madden. It was written in 1902 and it became a popular music hall song hit of the time made popular by Harry Lauder. Rolf Harris In 1969 it was revived in popularity when during a tour of Arnhem Land in Australia, Australian entertainer Rolf Harris briefly stayed with folk musician Ted Egan. Egan sung him the song, which Harris recorded on tape. When he got back to England he persuaded his television producer into using the song on his BBC variety show. Harris discovered he had lost the tape and rang Egan, twelve thousand miles away in Canberra, and got him to sing the song over the phone.
