The A Gender Agenda website is intended to be a community hub, and informational resource for transgender, intersex, genderqueer and other gender variant people and their supporters. Our organisation intends to provide information and support for individuals, families, government bodies and other institutions.
If this is your first visit here, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page.
All kinds of people might be interested in contacting A Gender Agenda. Some examples include parents interested in raising their children outside traditional gender stereotypes, people considering transitioning from one gender to another, intersex people and families of intersex children, medical professionals, school teachers, day-care centres, the media and politicians.
Our primary goal for the near future is to build a strong and supportive community for all ages, and all kinds of sex and gender diverse people. Our group currently includes transgendered people, transsexuals, genderqueers, straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, third gender, intersexed people, and the partners and children of such people.
We try to be as inclusive and supportive of all diversity as we possibly can, but we understand that we are not perfect. If you feel that our organisation doesn't include you, or your type of diversity we strongly encourage you to come along, and get involved. Provide us with more information, host an event, meet us, and tell us how we can better serve the community.
We are currently working on opening a Gender Library, where we can provide resources and educational materials to both the sex and gender diverse community, and those who wish to learn more about us. For more information about this project, please see our library page!
Our other major project at the moment is putting together educational programs suitable for schools, government bodies, and other groups to educate them about the needs of sex and gender diverse people in the workplace, classroom, and in their private lives. If you would like to contribute anything to this program, please contact us.
We hope you find our website useful, and it would be great to meet you! If you are interested, check out our events page for upcoming events.
