Genderqueer (GQ; alternatively non-binary) is a catch-all term for gender identities other than man and woman, thus outside of the gender binary and heteronormativity.^[1] People who identify as genderqueer may think of themselves as one or more of the following:

• both man and woman (bigender, pangender);
• neither man nor woman (genderless, agender);
• moving between genders (genderfluid);^[2]
• third gender or other-gendered; includes those who do not place a name to their gender;^[3]
• having an overlap of, or blurred lines between, gender identity and sexual orientation.^[4][5]

Some genderqueer people^[6][7] also identify as transgender, and may or may not wish for physical modification or hormones to suit their preferred expression. Many genderqueer people see gender and sex as separable aspects of a person and sometimes identify as a male woman, a female man, or a male/female/intersex genderqueer person.^[8] Gender identity is defined as one's internal sense of being a woman, man, both, or neither, while sexual identity refers to an individual's enduring physical, romantic, and/or emotional attraction to others.^[7] As such, genderqueer people may have a variety of sexual orientations, as with transgender and cisgender people.^[9]

In addition to being an umbrella term, genderqueer has been used as an adjective to refer to any people who transgress distinctions of gender, regardless of their self-defined gender identity, i.e. those who "queer" gender, expressing it non-normatively.^[10] Androgynous is frequently used as a descriptive term for people in this category, though genderqueer people may express a combination of masculinity and femininity, or neither, in their gender expression and not all identify as androgynous. However, the term has been applied by those describing what they see as a gender ambiguity.^[11]

Gender pronouns[link]

Some genderqueer people prefer to use gender-neutral pronouns such as one, ze, sie, hir, co, ey or singular "they", "their" and "them", while others prefer the conventional binary pronouns "her" or "him". Some genderqueer people prefer to be referred to alternately as he and she (and/or gender neutral pronouns), and some prefer to use only their name and not use pronouns at all.^[12]

• Chris Pureka, an American folk music singer-songwriter, came out publicly as genderqueer in a 2005 interview with Off Our Backs.^[13]
• Jiz Lee, a pornographic actor, reported in a personal blog post that (s)he became more candid about being genderqueer at about age 29.^[14]
• Andrej Pejic, an Australian fashion model, does not use the term genderqueer, but has publicly stated that they identify as neither male nor female.^[15][16]
• Kate Bornstein, an American gender theorist, transsexual person, and author of Gender Outlaw: On Men, Women and the Rest of Us (a book about being dissatisfied with binary models of gender) identifies as neither male nor female.
• Laci Green, an American sex educator on youtube who speaks about sexuality, gender, and self image through vlogging, speaking at colleges, and on her website.
• Chris Crocker, an American internet celebrity who identifies as gay and a gender queer. He switches to female dressing in some occasions. Before 2010, he identified as transgender.

David F. Nazworthy, professionally known as Dave Naz (born in 1969 in Los Angeles, California) is an American pornographer and erotic photographer.

Nazworthy grew up in Beverly Hills, California. He is the son of Maxine F. Nazworthy, a descendant of Max Factor, Sr., founder of Max Factor & Co.. Nazworthy attended El Rodeo Elementary School in Beverly Hills, California and subsequently earned a high school diploma from Beverly Hills High School.

From 1985-1997 Nazworthy played in the punk rock bands Chemical People, Down by Law & The Last (band).^[1]

Inspired by artists such as: Larry Clark, Nan Goldin and Diane Arbus, Naz started photographing people.^[2] In 2001 Naz assisted Photographer Richard Kern ^[3] and went on to shoot for a number of adult Magazines, including Taboo, Leg Show and Barely Legal.

Several of Nazworthy's photos are used in the artwork of Richard Prince.^[4]

Nazworthy married award winning adult film actress Oriana Small aka Ashley Blue on July 30, 2009.^[5]
