"Here She Comes Now" is the fourth track appearing on The Velvet Underground's second album, White Light/White Heat, released in 1968. The performance and mix of the song are both simple and traditional, making it somewhat distinct from the other five songs on the album, all of which contain some type of experimental or avant-garde element in terms of sound. It is also the album's shortest song at just over two minutes. The song appears in the opening credits of the 2009 film Adventureland.
"Here She Comes Now" was released as the B-side to the single, "White Light/White Heat".
Originally intended for Nico to sing (who did indeed sing it on a few occasions during the Exploding Plastic Inevitable shows), the song was demoed in 1967 by Lou Reed, Sterling Morrison and John Cale. This demo later surfaced on the 1995 box set Peel Slowly and See. However, by the time White Light/White Heat was recorded, the collaboration between Nico and The Velvet Underground had come to an end. On both the recorded demo and the studio version, lead vocalist Reed sings the lyrics.
Venus in Furs (German: Venus im Pelz) is a novella by the Austrian author Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, and the best known of his works. The novel was to be part of an epic series that Sacher-Masoch envisioned called Legacy of Cain. Venus in Furs was part of Love, the first volume of the series. It was published in 1870.
The novel draws themes, like female dominance and sadomasochism, and character inspiration heavily from Sacher-Masoch's own life. Wanda von Dunajew, the novel's central female character, was modelled after Fanny Pistor, who was an emerging literary writer. The two met when Pistor contacted Sacher-Masoch, under assumed name and fictitious title of Baroness Bogdanoff, for suggestions on improving her writing to make it suitable for publication.
The framing story concerns a man who dreams of speaking to Venus about love while she wears furs. The unnamed narrator tells his dreams to a friend, Severin, who tells him how to break him of his fascination with cruel women by reading a manuscript, Memoirs of a Suprasensual Man.
Venus in Furs is a 1995 film by filmmakers and independent art-house Dutch film producers Maartje Seyferth and Victor Nieuwenhuijs and it was their first feature film. The film has been shot on black-and-white 35mm film.
The story in this film is a loose adaptation of notable Leopold von Sacher Masoch novel Venus in Furs.
Venus in Furs is a 1967 sexploitation film, directed by Joe Marzano, and starring Barbara Ellen. The script was written by Marzano and Ellen, suggested by the novel of the same name by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch.
The film has been released on DVD by Something Weird Video in the US.
"Here She Comes Now"/"Venus in Furs" is a split single from the American rock bands Nirvana and The Melvins. It was released in 1991 and includes the songs "Here She Comes Now" performed by Nirvana, and "Venus in Furs" performed by The Melvins. Both songs are cover versions of Velvet Underground songs.
The single was limited to 1000 copies and was available in up to 20 different colors. The cover art resembles the albums where each of the songs first appeared: the cover of The Melvins side resembles the cover of 1967 album The Velvet Underground & Nico while the cover of the Nirvana side resembles White Light/White Heat.
Nirvana's cover later appeared on the Velvet Underground tribute album Heaven & Hell – A Tribute to The Velvet Underground, and on the 2004 Nirvana box set, With the Lights Out. This version also appears on the 2011 Nevermind 20th Anniversary Deluxe edition. While on their European tour in November 1991, they recorded an acoustic rendition for Dutch station VPRO which remains unreleased but appears on bootlegs and in trader's circles.

http://www.playbill.com/video Tony-nominated for her Broadway debut last spring in "Born Yesterday," Nina Arianda returns to the role that first brought her acclaim — Vanda, a struggling actress in David Ives' two-hander "Venus in Fur." This sexually-charged comedy pits Vanda against Thomas (Hugh Dancy), an author and director who auditions Vanda for a role in his newest work, a play based on an 1870s novel by German author Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, for whom "masochism" is named. The darkly erotic scenarios of the audition cause the seemingly naïve actress to ultimately gain total dominance over the director.

Alone in a Paris theatre after a long day of auditioning actresses for the lead role in his new play, writer-director Thomas (Mathieu Amalric) complains on the phone about the poor calibre of talent he has seen. No actress has what it takes to play his lead female character; a woman who enters into an agreement with her male counterpart to dominate him as her slave. Thomas is about to leave the theatre when actress Vanda (Emmanuelle Seigner) bursts in, a whirlwind of erratic and erotic energy. At first she seems to embody everything Thomas has been lamenting; she is pushy, foul-mouthed, desperate and ill-prepared - or so it seems. When Thomas finally, reluctantly, agrees to let her try out for the part he is stunned and captivated by her transformation. Not only is Vanda a perfect fit bu...
