Intensive Farming
http://www.farmoneacre.com/ Intensive Farming is a growing trend to make small acreages more profitable, particularly in cities and towns. Companion Planters are small planters that are approximately 22 inches in diameter and 20 inches in height. Companion Planters were originally designed for the home gardening market where space is at a premium. Companion Planters can be used in an intensive farming environment to grow hundreds of cucumbers, watermelon and pumpkins.- published: 08 Aug 2013

Imprisoned Paradise
The serene upland farm of Llyndy Isaf, on the shores of Llyn Dinas, is unique in Snowdonia, untouched by intensive farming and home to threatened wildlife of international importance. Sitting within the Nant Gwynant pass, offering 600 acres of extraordinary and peaceful haven for people to get close to nature – and enjoy quiet pursuits such as hiking, kayaking and sailing.
Upon the retirement of the current owner, the National Trust, with the generous support of the public, aims to acquire this land. If successful, protecting it from the commercial market, and the impending development that would follow. The tranquil atmosphere could easily be shattered.
This portrait of the area captures that tranquility.

Shocking New Fur Investigation
Eighty-five percent of the fur industry’s skins come from animals living captive on fur factory farms. These farms can hold thousands of animals, and the practices used to farm them are remarkably uniform around the globe. As with other intensive-confinement animal farms, the methods used on fur factory farms are designed to maximize profits, always at the expense of the animals. © Swiss Animal Protection/EAST International
