First officer (aeronautics)

In commercial aviation, the first officer is the second pilot (also referred to as the co-pilot) of an aircraft. The first officer is second-in-command of the aircraft to the captain, who is the legal commander. In the event of incapacitation of the captain, the first officer will assume command of the aircraft.

Control of the aircraft is normally shared equally between the first officer and the captain, with one pilot normally designated the "pilot flying" (PF) and the other the "pilot not flying" (PNF), or "pilot monitoring" (PM), for each flight. Even when the first officer is the flying pilot, however, the captain remains ultimately responsible for the aircraft, its passengers, and the crew. In typical day-to-day operations, the essential job tasks remain fairly equal.

Many airlines promote by seniority only within their own company. As a consequence, an airline first officer may be older and/or have more flight experience than a captain, by virtue of having experience from other airlines or the military. Traditionally, the first officer sits on the right-hand side of a fixed-wing aircraft ("right seat") and the left-hand side of a helicopter (the reason for this difference is related to the fact that in many cases the pilot flying is unable to release his right hand from the cyclic control to operate the instruments, thus he sits on the right side and does that with his left hand). Other airlines may designate the more senior of two first officers operating a long-haul sector together with a captain in an enlarged crew as the senior first officer. He will then sit in the left seat when the captain takes his rest.

Kristina Maria

Kristina Maria Chalhoub (born 14 May 1989) is a Canadian pop singer-songwriter.

Early life

Born to two Lebanese parents and raised in Ottawa, Kristina joined her school's choir as a second-grader, and wrote her first song in her third grade. Continuing to write poems and setting them to music, at 12, she participated in talent shows in Ottawa and spent time in local studios recording demos. She also enrolled in dance classes and took formal lessons at the Canadian Conservatory of Music in Ottawa singing in many different styles, from pop to opera to R&B.

With her mother acting as her manager, Kristina performed at state fairs and exhibitions. In 2005, her vocal coach put her in a group named The Showstoppers with seven other girls and sent them to Florida to sing medleys of ABBA songs and Motown hits at theme parks like Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld. In the summer of 2009, veteran music industry executive Vito Luprano (Céline Dion, Garou) heard some of her recordings and arranged to record some of her renditions.

Laza Morgan

Laza Morgan (born December 13, 1983 in Springfield, Massachusetts) is a Jamaican American reggae singer and rapper. Son of the reggae musician and artist Denroy Morgan, he started as a member of the Jamaican dancehall / hip hop trio formation LMS, alongside his siblings trio Noshayah Morgan and Miriam Morgan. Then Otiya "Laza" he engaged in a solo singing career.

He is best known for his single "This Girl" which was featured on Disney's Step Up 3D. Laza was also a featured artist on Alexandra Burke's hit single "Start Without You" in 2010 and appeared in the music video for the song. Laza is also featured in Kristina Maria's new single "Co-Pilot". He later released his mixed tape on June 7, 2011, after releasing his new hit single "One by One" featuring Jamaican singer Mavado, which topped the Jamaican Reggae Singles Chart. More recently Laza had launched two viral music videos on YouTube for his singles "Ballerina" and "Ya Sey Mi" with his production team Family Affair Productions.

Andy Grammer

Andrew Charles "Andy" Grammer is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is signed to S-Curve Records. His debut album, Andy Grammer, was released in 2011 and spawned the hit singles "Keep Your Head Up" and "Fine by Me". His second album Magazines or Novels was released in 2014, with "Back Home" as the first single. The album's second single, "Honey, I'm Good.", is his most successful song to date, peaking at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100. This single has been certified triple-platinum by the RIAA and was ranked one of the ten best-selling songs of 2015 by Soundscan. He is also most recently known for performing the National Anthem at the Patriots-Broncos AFC Championship game in Denver in January 2016.

Personal life

Andrew Charles Grammer was born in Los Angeles, the son of Kathryn (Willoughby) and recording artist Robert Crane "Red" Grammer, He grew up in Chester, New York, graduating from Monroe-Woodbury High School. As a child, he learned to play the trumpet and later the guitar and piano. He began writing songs at 15. At 20, he left Binghamton University after unsuccessfully auditioning for the Binghamton Crosbys and returned to the Los Angeles area, where he currently resides. In 2007, he graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a B.A. in Music Industry Studies.

Adobe After Effects

Adobe After Effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application developed by Adobe Systems and used in the post-production process of filmmaking and television production. Among other things, After Effects can be used for keying, tracking, rotoscoping, compositing and animation. It also functions as a very basic non-linear editor, audio editor and media transcoder.

Description

Adobe After Effects is software primarily used for creating motion graphics and visual effects. It allows users to animate, edit, and compose media in 2D or 3D space with many different built-in tools and third party plug-ins which can be downloaded from the Internet depending on what type of plug in the user is looking for. It also provides individual attention to variables like parallax and also user adjustable angles of observation.

Adobe After Effects is a layer-oriented program. Each individual media object like video clips, still images, audio clips, etc. runs on its own. In contrast, other Non-Linear Editing Systems use a system where individual media objects can occupy the same track as long as they do not overlap at the same time. This track-oriented system is more suitable for editing and can keep project files more simple. The layer oriented system that Adobe After Effects has is suitable for extensive video effects work and also key framing. Other compositing packages, especially the ones that employ tree or node workflows, such as Nuke and Fusion, are better suited to managing complex interconnected data flow within a composite. Adobe After Effects is capable of countering the problem somewhat by selectively hiding layers or by grouping them into pre-compositions.
