Perth Activists Shindig

Date: Sat 12 Oct, 7:30pm - Sat 12 Oct, 10:30pm

So, here's a shocking concept- activists getting together just to have fun! Despite the fact that we work long hours volunteering for worthy causes, there is no office party at the end of the week, and no rest for the wicked....and that can lead to the dreaded burnout. So leave the frustration and exhaustion of your political campaigns at home and come out for an evening of delicious food, music and wonderful people. Our first shindig is on October 12th, and then on the second Saturday of each month thereafter. To kick things off Farida Iqbal and Chris Bonds will perform some folk and rap, and Elli Schoen will grace us with her own special kind of magic. BRING ALONG A FRIEND OR TWO AND A PLATE TO SHARE FOR THE BUFFET DINNER. Entry is free, BYO alcohol. At the Earthwise Community Centre, 315 Bagot Rd. Subiaco
