Welcome to our show
It's hard to understand
When you don't know me
But we can still be friends
It's better of that way
Through my eyes I'll see you there
I'll never be the same again
With my words I'll make a change
And I'll never be the same again
It's hard to make amends
I know it isn't easy
But try and understand
It's really not that bad
Through my eyes I'll see you there
I'm hard to understand when no one ever seems to care
And with my words I'll make a change
And try to rearrange
Walls of fear come crashing down
I won't look back don't turn around
And with my life I'll make a change
Hope we'll all be friends again
In a world of fate
Where no one seems to care
I feel so afraid but you are always there
When time stands still
And no one is around
You are there standing my ground
Cause I can feel you change my heart
You've overwhelmed me from the start
I can feel you change my mind for the better of mankind
You only take what's yours
Heaven knows I take much more
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Come back don't leave keep stalling
Come back to me I'm falling
In love
But the last thing you said to me
Made it seem like those just won't last
Time and time again
Breaking all our plans from the past
You'll find out
Hear me now
There's someone better out there
You made me laugh
I mad eyou cry
I heard the bells on Christmas Day
their old familiar carols play
And wild and sweet the words repeat
of peace on earth goodwill to men
I thought how as the day had come
the belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along unbroken song
of peace on earth goodwill to men
I can hear your voice, I can hear your voice
like the bells on Christmas Day.
And in despair I bowed my head
"there is no peace on earth" I said
For hate is strong that mocks the song
of peace on earth goodwill to men
(Then pealed the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead nor does he sleep
The wrong shall fail the right prevail
with peace on earth goodwill to men)
Till ringin' singin' on its way
the world revolve from night to day
A voice a chime a chant sublime
of peace on earth goodwill to men
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead nor does he sleep
The wrong shall fail the right prevail
with peace on earth goodwill to men
Ooooh, ooooh, ooh
The sun goes down, and then she slips away.
It gets so lonely after dark.
If only we could relive yesterday.
Tomorrow always seems so far.
Ooooh, ooooh, ooh
Ooooh, ooooh, ooh
The end is near; so much is left to say.
The world is getting cold tonight.
The traumatized people are so afraid.
I smile 'cause everything's alright.
Ooooh, ooooh, ooh
Ooooh, ooooh, ooh
Woah, woah, woah, woah
Woah, woah, woah, ooh
Ooooh, ooooh, ooh
Ooooh, ooooh, ooh
Ooooh, ooooh, ooh
Take me as I am
Tell me where you stand
What you've done for me is more than I can tell
From a little seed
Tell me what you see
Make me needed
I'm so excited
I can't hide it
And I'm so happy
When you are with me
You took me as I was
Put me on higher ground
All you've done for me is more than I deserve
The reason why I live
The more and more you give
I'm so thankful
We're here to rock
We dare not stop
The night is young
We've just begun
All the girls and the boys
And people making noise
Just let me hear you shout -
Bring 'em out! Bring 'em out!
Pump up your fist
If you twist like this
'Til the lights go out -
Bring 'em out! Bring 'em out!
All the girls and the boys
And people making noise
Just let me hear you shout
Bring 'em out! Bring 'em out!
Pump up your fist
If you twist like this
'Til the lights go out
Bring 'em out! Bring 'em out!
Katie,
I don't know why I even try
'Cause lately
You're always out other the guys
Pretty baby
Don't you know I'll treat you right
I'll go crazy
If you pass me up tonight
Hey - Hey - Hey Hey!
Hey - Hey - Hey Hey Hey!
All this time can't get it off my mind
Dance the night away
Keep rocking with me
When the grooves alright
Rocking all night
I want to hear you say
All the girls and the boys
And people making noise
Just let me hear you shout
Bring 'em out! Bring 'em out!
Pump up your fist
If you twist like this
'Til the lights go out
Bring 'em out! Bring 'em out!
Wake up
I'm calling you up I need a ride
We're gonna shake up
So hurry it up no wasted time
The girls in their makeup
In black and white
Exchanging looks tonight
I just ran into some other friends of mine
Someone's coming 'round to pick them up at nine
Hey - Hey - Hey Hey!
Hey - Hey - Hey Hey Hey!
All this time can't get it off my mind
Dance the night away
Keep Rocking with me
When the grooves alright
Rocking all night
I want to hear you say
Hey Hey Hey!
All this time can't get it off my mind
Dance the night away
Keep Rocking with me
When the grooves alright
Rocking all night
Shake it shake it up until we break it
We won't stop till we just can't take it
Everybody move to the beat
Come on
Everybody move to the beat
Come on
Everybody rock to the break of dawn
Everybody else just sing along
Everybody move to the beat
Come on
Everybody move to the beat
Come on
Everybody rock to the break of dawn
Everybody else just sing along
Everybody move to the beat
Come on
Everybody move to the beat
Come on
Everybody rock to the break of dawn
Everybody else just sing along
All this time can't get it off my mind
Dance the night away
When the grooves alright
Rocking all night
Wanna hear you say
All this time can't get it off my mind
Dance the night away
When the grooves alright
Rocking all night
Wanna hear you say
All the girls and the boys
And people making noise
Just let me hear you shout -
Bring 'em out! Bring 'em out!
Pump up your fist
If you twist like this
'Til the lights go out -
Bring 'em out! Bring 'em out!
All the girls and the boys
And people making noise
Just let me hear you shout -
Bring 'em out! Bring 'em out!
Pump up your fist
If you twist like this
'Til the lights go out -
She shows up nervously and says
"It's time we settle up the score"
Cause all the things that I regret
Are all the things I've said before
Hard to ignore, I'd like you even more
But you're just like me
I talk behind your back
From this confidence I lack
Now is the time to make things right
But you're just like me
Just like me, just like me
I wanna sever all the ties that keep me bound throughout the night
But if I gossip all the time, these knots will never come untied
Thinking of myself, me, nobody else
And you're just like me
I talk behind your back
From this confidence I lack
Now is the time to make things right
But you're just like me
Just like me, just like me
You're not alone, you're not alone
You know we all are guilty
Join in the song and sing along
Sing the chorus with me
You're not alone, you're not alone
You know we all are guilty
Join in the song and sing along
Sing the chorus with me
I talk behind your back
From this confidence I lack
Now is the time to make things right
But you're just like me
Take me as I am
Tell me where you stand
What you've done for me is more than I can tell
From a little seed
Tell me what you see
Make me needed
I'm so excited
I can't hide it
And I'm so happy
When you are with me
You took me as I was
Put me on higher ground
All you've done for me is more than I deserve
The reason why I live
The more and more you give
I'm so thankful
We're here to rock
We dare not stop
The night is young
Someone throw your hands up
If you wanna take a chance, then
You gotta sing a little louder
Let’s wake this crowd up
Someone throw your hands up
If you wanna take a chance, then
You gotta sing a little louder
Let’s wake this crowd up
I got a hankerin’ for something special
Tonight’s the night it becomes official
Don’t stop the rock, hold both your hands up
S-show these people how to shake things up
I’m not sittin’ down ’til I’m older
And I’m not shuttin’ up ’til it’s over
Raise your hands and shout if you’re with me
Then once we start it won’t make a difference
If you wanna live life loud, throw your hands up
If you wanna scream and shout, lemme hear you
Takin’ all the fakers out if you’re with me
Everybody work it, just keep living
Wow oh oh, wow oh oh, wow oh oh
I started figurin’ with good intentions
Listen up now, give me your attention
Don’t make a sound if you don’t believe me
You won’t wake up, you’ll just keep living
I’m not sittin’ down ’til I’m older
And I’m not shuttin’ up ’til it’s over
Raise your hands and shout if you’re with me
Then once we start it won’t make a difference
If you wanna live life loud, throw your hands up
If you wanna scream and shout, lemme hear you
Takin’ all the fakers out if you’re with me
Everybody work it, just keep living
Wow oh oh, wow oh oh, wow oh oh
Every time that I close my eyes,
I catch a glimpse of the west coast sunrise
And I can tell you you’re just as beautiful
Someone throw your hands up
If you wanna take a chance, then
You gotta sing a little louder
Let’s wake this crowd up
Someone throw your hands up
If you wanna take a chance, then
You gotta sing a little louder
Let’s wake this crowd up
If you wanna live life loud, throw your hands up
If you wanna scream and shout, lemme hear you
Takin’ all the fakers out if you’re with me
Everybody work it, just keep living
Wow oh oh,
Wow oh oh (Just keep living)
Some days I spend all day on the phone
And other days I would just rather be alone
Some days I feel like the whole world is waiting on an answer
I've been caught under the radar so help me please
It's been that kind of day so just go away
And let the machine say what I want it to say
It's never enough, it keeps getting tough
I wanna listen to your voice but it keeps breaking up
Some days I just don't wanna leave my home
And other days I'm alive like a rolling stone
Sometimes I feel so insignificant like it doesn't really even matter
And I know that we all make mistakes
'Cause I'm guilty as charged with a case of foot in mouth disease
I know sometimes it's hard to find
The strength to turn the page
When all of our tomorrows
Look like used up yesterdays
Maybe this path we're taking
Could really be the road to breaking free
Are you with me?
One little revolution could turn it all around
Back to the Kingdom we once knew
Just a little bit of me, just a little bit of you
One little miracle to get us through
To get us through, to get us through
Broken, empty promises
Are all we knew before
Our Father's dreams of better days
Lay shattered on the floor
It's not too late to start believing
Take me by the hand, I'm reaching out
How about now? Yeah hey
One little revolution could turn it all around
Back to the Kingdom we once knew
Just a little bit of me and a little bit of you
One little miracle to get us through
We can right the wrong
From this moment on
One little revolution could turn it all around
Back to the Kingdom we once knew
With a little bit of me and a little bit of you
One little miracle to get us through
I've tried my best to hear out the masses,
I've heard it all, from A to Z.
I've read it all, been to all of the classes,
And still I'm tryin' but I just can't see through the smoke.
And I don't want it, this confusion,
I don't want a false solution.
Give me something to hold on to,
I want what you have 'cause you have what I need.
You have what I need.
I know it's hard to be yourself when
you're not sure just who that is.
All I wanted was satisfaction,
but all I got was empty fists.
Can you hear me?
I don't want it, this confusion,
I don't want a false solution.
Give me something to hold on to,
I want what you have 'cause you have what I need.
You have what I need.
All I wanted was honesty,
and that was something only you give.
It took forever just to realize that I had to give myself away,
so I could see your face and learn how to live.
I can't erase your mark,
you may take everything else away.
I don't want it, this confusion,
I don't want a false solution.
Give me something to hold on to,
I want what you have 'cause you have what I need.
I don't want it, this confusion,
I don't want a false solution.
Give me something to hold on to,
I want what you have 'cause you have what I need.
Another Friday with the TV on
Listenin' to the same old song
How long will this carry on
Can I survive another weekend
Another night in my room pacin'
Another date with the playstation
Can't take it much longer
I just need something stronger
Turn it on, turn it on, turn it on again
Make it strong, sing your song to the very end
Cause tonight we're alive and breathin'
Can you hear me, everyone near me
Turn it on, turn it on, turn it on again
Don't turn it off, cause this feeling doesn't have to end
I want to be, where you are, please take me
Just take me, shake me
Every calendar that goes by
Makes me take a look inside
I don't wanna just live my life
I want to mean something
Just another day to pass the clock
I'd do anything to make it stop
Can't take it much longer
I just need something stronger
Turn it on, turn it on, turn it on again
Make it strong, sing your song to the very end
Cause tonight we're alive and breathin'
Can you hear me, everyone near me
Turn it on, turn it on, turn it on again
Don't turn it off, cause this feeling doesn't have to end
I want to be, where you are, please take me
Billy made a promise but didn't end though
Carrie had a dream but she threw it out the window
Kevin met a nice girl who broke his heart and
His friends never told him but they knew it from the start and...
These are the things we go through
Let's take control and be ourselves
Let's not waste time wondering about
How we're gonna make it out
Wake up everyone around you
Let's rock until the clock strikes two
Stand up for what you believe and shout to
Here's another song from the youth that surround you
Kyle's parents split up, he thinks it's his fault
Little does he know that the time they're in was difficult
Andrea she left home, said she had enough
All she really wanted was somebody else there to love
She's all alone again, it's the same old argument
And she needs a helping hand to help her find the truth
These are the things we go through
Let's take control and be ourselves
Let's not waste time wondering about
How we're gonna make it out
Wake up everyone around you
Lets rock until the clock strikes two
Stand up for what you believe and shout to
Here's another song from the youth that surrounds you
Save me I'm all alone as I'm coming to the surface
Tell me I've got to know what is my meaning and my purpose
Show me I'm far from home lost with no sense of direction
Take me to Your throne
Billy made a promise but didn't end though
Carried had a dream but she threw it out the window
Kevin met a nice girl who broke his heart and
His friends never told him but they knew it from the start and...
These are the things we go through
Let's take control and be ourselves
Let's not waste time wondering about
How we're gonna make it out
Wake up everyone around you
Let's rock until the clock strikes two
Stand up for what you believe and shout to
Here's another song from the youth that surround you
Wake up everyone around you
Let's rock until the clock strikes two
Stand up for what you believe and shout to
E-e-everywhere I go,
It's all been taken
Pick me up a book about new sensations
T-t-take me to a place
With no frustration
Better back it up before I lose my patience
Here we go
Let's take 'em to the show whoaoh
C'mon, turn on your radio
whoaoh
Let's go
Let's take 'em to the show whoaoh
C'mon, turn up your radio
C-c-call me on the phone
Or two way pager
Won't be comin' home so see ya later
You can keep your cars
And your jet-black hummer
Won't see me again until next summer
Here we go
Let's take 'em to the show whoaoh
C'mon, turn on your radio
whoaoh
Let's go
Let's take 'em to the show whoaoh
C'mon, turn up your radio
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Here we go
Let's take 'em to the show whoaoh
C'mon, turn on your radio
whoaoh
Let's go
Let's take 'em to the show whoaoh
C'mon, turn up your radio
C'mon if you're feelin', if you're feelin' alright
Here we go
Let's take 'em to the show whoaoh
C'mon, turn on your radio
whoaoh
Let's go
Let's take 'em to the show whoaoh
Will someone please radio for help?
'Cause I think I'm allergic to myself
And they think they can throw us all away
We gotta stop it before it's all too late
There's got to be a better way
They dissect everything we say
To try to make us feel this way
And you can take the one thing I have left
I'd give it all away for so much less
Can even take the heart inside my chest
Woah, woah
And you can take the one thing I have left
Beat me to the ground and take my breath
But you can't take who I am
Woah, woah
And I swear we were born to let you down
We scream but never make a sound
We point but don't know which direction
We are America right now
There's got to be a better way
They dissect everything we say
To try to make us feel this way
And you can take the one thing I have left
I'd give it all away for so much less
Can even take the heart inside my chest
Woah, woah
And you can take the one thing I have left
Beat me to the ground and take my breath
But you can't take who I am
Woah, woah
Well, how can I be the same? How can I say the blame?
How come I am so tired of all these charades?
How can I be the one? How can I hold the gun?
How can I see if everyone else is to blame?
Hey, hey, don't want to be the
Hey, hey, don't want to see the
Hey, hey
'Cause we point the finger
Think everyone else is to blame, blame
It only takes one to make a difference
It takes a little to change
Lets start today for a new tomorrow
Don’t look back
I wont look back now
Hey yah gonna find a new beginning
Lately tired of the life I’m livin
Find a way to make a change
In the lives of all of us who need
To find the meaning of life
We run the race just to keep our distance
Our lives we must rearrange
Lets chase away all our fear and sorrow
Don’t hold back
I wont hold back now
Hey yah gotta find a new beginning
Lately tired of the life I’m livin
Find a way to make a change
In the lives of all of us who need
To find the meaning of life
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Life Life
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Life
To find the meaning..
Hey yah gotta find a new beginning
Lately I’m tired of the life I’m livin
Find a way to make a change
In the lives of all of us who need it
Today’s the day don’t hesitate
Everybody with me sing
Na na na na na
Can you hear me?
Does anyone around me feel the way that I feel now?
'Cause from the window where I sometimes cry
I just want to see your face tonight
And I'm willing to lose everything I am
'Cause I need you more than ever
I need your help to find where I've been going wrong so far
Take me under your wing tonight
Make me so perfect in your eyes
Hold on 'cause it will be alright
You're not alone
When you're near me, I feel like I just found me
In the traces of the boy from yesterday
But in a world that is so black and white
I will take the steps to change my life
And I won't be coming back to here again
And I need your loving hand to guide me
Through the maze of all the things inside me
Then I'll know that I'm alright
'Cause I need you more than ever
I need your help to find where I'll be going wrong so far
Take me under your wing tonight
Make me so perfect in your eyes
Hold on 'cause it will be alright
You're not alone
Please help me get from worse to better
Before these tears soak through this lonely sweater
And let me know that I'm alright
I still have one strike of this match left
And I'm holding on to my last breath
And it's getting a little dark around to see here
Take me under your wing tonight
Make me so perfect in your eyes
Hold on 'cause it will be alright
You're not alone
Take me under your wing tonight
Make me so perfect in your eyes
Hold on, it will be alright
You're not alone
And you'll be here forever
Forever you'll stay
And you promised to love me
You'll love me always
You'll love me for always
You'll love me for always
Always
Every time when I close my eye
I catch a glimpse of the west coast sun-rise
And I can tell you, you're just as beautiful
Overwhelmed by the fear and stage-fright
You're the only one in my spot-light
Even when you don't so beautiful
We've got one chance, We've got one chance
We've got on chance to shine, to shine
Still awake at the start of daylight
I miss you bad, but I swear I'm alright
I'll see you soon, when the leave turn colorful
I see your face in my own reflection
Scan the crowd but there's no connection
With out you, nothing feels like home
We've got one chance, We've got one chance
We've got on chance to shine
We've got one chance to make things right
We've got on chance to shine, to shine, to shine, to shine
We've got one chance to make things right
We've got on chance to shine
We've got one chance, We've got one chance
Take the train, go separate ways
And leave it long forgotten
I'll hang my hat and I won't be back
On my way out
I'm feeling lame, am I to blame?
Or am I just too jaded?
I won't be back
What'd ya think of that?
When it feels like life's wastin' away
I can say
That when there's something on my mind
It takes my concentration
Just wanna lay it on the line
Avoid all confrontation
I'm gonna say this one more time
For all my generation
You'll never, ever pull my lever
Not today and not forever
(Not today and not forever)
Take the fame and change my name
Because my jacket's faded
And I'll change my hat
No, we can't have that
(You'll be looking at a brand new cat)
It's all made up, I've had enough
Of this circulation
If you write me back
I'll tell you where it's at
When it feels like life's wastin' away
I can say
That when there's something on my mind
It takes my concentration
Just wanna lay it on the line
Avoid all confrontation
I'm gonna say this one more time
For all my generation
You'll never, ever pull my lever
Not today and not forever
Something on my mind
It takes my concentration
Just wanna lay it on the line
Avoid all confrontation
I'm gonna say this one more time
For all my generation
You'll never, ever pull my lever
Not today and not forever
(Not today and not forever)
Something on my mind
It takes my concentration
Just wanna lay it on the line
Avoid all confrontation
I'm gonna say this one more time
For all my generation
You'll never, ever pull my lever
Not today and not forever
Something on my mind
It takes my concentration
Just wanna lay it on the line
Avoid all confrontation
I'm gonna say this one more time
For all my generation
You'll never, ever pull my lever
The phone starts ringing again I think it's my girlfriend
This time I know this it's finally over
She keeps bringing me down, will this all turn around
Right now I feel like I'm slowly dying
You know I've heard it all before
Now my eyes they run like faucets
Until my tears are dry
She said we were in love
I take a sip of my water
I guess we'll carry on at last
She still thinks it's my fault
And I'm nobody at all
She must have thought it was someone else before
I'm not so special now, I always knew it somehow
I guess she never had guts to tell me
Is it my spiked blond hair, that fact my chest is bare
Or that my wardrobe is all in black, it's all in black
It's all in black, you want me back?
Well I won't be back
Because you're always keeping score
But now the scorecard's in my pocket
And now the match is won
She said we were in love
I take a sip of my water
I guess we'll carry on at last
She still thinks it's my fault
And I'm nobody at all
If I sold this guitar and a piece of my heart for you
Would you hop on a bus and leave just because would you
Are these dreams overrated?
Running from myself
I used to be somebody else
I'm holding out for a good reason
People around me, they all seem to tell me that I tend to change like the seasons
I used to be somebody else
This dream that I chose is too big for us both it's true
It hurts me the most now I feel like a ghost around you
Are these dreams overrated?
Running from myself
I used to be somebody else
I'm holding out for a good reason
The people around me they all seem to tell me that I tend to change
like the seasons
Oh my security..
wrapped up like knots inside of me am I ever coming clean?
I see the sorrow in your eyes
Your smile is a very sad disguise
I cannot play that game tonight
Don?t ya know?
We all have a secret,
We have friends, who try to keep them,
I?m just a skeleton without.. you now
My own imprisonment, just like the skeleton inside,
I know the truth will set me free,
Locked in my Secrecy, I can?t comfy to me,
Show me a cure for my disease!!
Don?t ya know?
We all have a secret
We have friends who try to keep them
Don?t ya know your sins will find you out..
I?m a man, a man with a problem,
I need you around so I can solve them,
I?m just a skeleton without.. you now
I?ve been running in circles around my head,
To scared to tell you who I am,
Like a heartless Gallatin..
Don?t ya know?
We all have a secret
We have friends who try to keep them
Don?t ya know your sins will find you out?
I?m a man, a man with a problem,
I need you around so I can solve them,
I?m just a skeleton without.. you now!!!!
(I want to be no skeleton!)
(I want to be no skeleton!)
(I want to be no skeleton!)
(I want to be no skeleton!)
You now!!!
(I want to be no skeleton!)
(I want to be no skeleton!)
You now!!
(I want to be no skeleton!)
Every time I see you I can see right through you
Knowing I could never change your mind
I look into your eyes for the last time
I have realized for the first time
While everyone is around I'll take a moment
To let you know that I'm down
Have all my questions been ignored?
This time I'm walking out the door
I don't know if I'll ever know why
Or hear the sound when angels cry
What you said to me late last night
I'll remember for the rest of my life
Every night when I close my eyes
I see the ways that you've touched my life
And I want you to know that I'll
Always be right here
Time stands still, so do I, leave me here
But for now I will go and I won't say nothing
Every time I hear that sound it reminds me that
You're always hanging around
Have all my questions been ignored?
This time I'm walking out the door
I don't know if I'll ever know why
Or hear the sound when angels cry
What you said to me late last night
I'll remember for the rest of my life
Every night when I close my eyes
I see the ways that you've touched my life
And I want you to know that I'll
Always be right here
Leave me here
These are the days these are the moments that pass us by
We ask the questions but we never really find out why
Pull my card right from the bottom
Reminds me of the things we've forgotten
That road trip we took back in autumn
The time we left and went back and got 'em
These are the days these are the moments that pass us by
I don't know if I'll ever know why
Or hear the sound when angels cry
What you said to me late last night
I'll remember for the rest of my life
Every night when I close my eyes
I see the ways that you've touched my life
And I want you to know that I'll
it's 2 o'clock, your eyes are shut,
your phone alarm is going off
the sun is up, you're still in bed,
another day gone again
this isn't what you wanted was it
know you've got a pulse let's get it started
you've got one shot, all you got take it now
you gotta get up, get up, get up oh-wo-oh-wo-oh
one life, live it right, keep on moving forward
you've got one shot everybody it's your time
i wanna see you on the other side
you've got one shot, all you got, live out loud
come on wake up, wake up, wake up before it's over
you got a truck, take a drive
go somewhere to feel alive
you got a dream, say a prayer,
a little faith will get ya there
this is what you wanted promise
never go back to the way you started
you've got one shot, all you got take it now
you gotta get up, get up, get up oh-wo-oh-wo-oh
one life, live it right, keep on moving forward
you've got one shot everybody it's your time
i wanna see you on the other side
you've got one shot, all you got, live out loud
Life is just a lineup, tell me when my time's up
Too much on my mind today
There's so much left that I would like to say
When I start to climb up will you pull my line up or am I just in the way?
I think about it every single day I think about it every single day
Fix us cause we keep falling apart, just keep falling apart
We're tired of being alone
Fix me cause I keep falling apart, just keep falling apart
Will someone find me
Life is just a lineup, tell me when my time's up
Too much on my mind today
There's so much left that I would like to say
When I start to climb up will you pull my line up or am I just in the way?
I think about it every single day I think about it every single day
Fix us cause we keep falling apart, just keep falling apart
We're tired of being alone
Fix me cause I keep falling apart, just keep falling apart
Will someone find me?
Now I feel like something's going on
I feel like something's going on
Now I feel like something's going on
Now I feel like something's going on
Now I feel like something's going on
Now I feel like something's going on
Now I feel like something's going on
Now I feel like something's going on
Now I feel like something's going on
I feel like something's going on
Now I feel like something
Fix us cause we keep falling apart, just keep falling apart
I'm tired of being alone
Fix us cause we keep falling apart, just keep falling apart
We're tired of being alone
Fix Me cause I keep falling apart, just keep falling apart
This evening at sundown
We meet in our small town
Everyone's going without ever knowing
To meet for the countdown
Our friends and our families
All hangout at Riley's
We stay for a while and jam out Guiel
Then walk on down George Street
And this road we choose, nothing to lose at all
That's the way it was and the way it is
Gone are the old days
Now we're on to something new
Our lives in the fast lane
Though it's not the same without you
It's not the same without you
Shows at the Gordon Best
And hockey at Northcrest
Our malls were a disgrace
Remember Portage Place
When we got kicked out
And told to never show our face
This road we choose, nothing to lose at all
That's the way it was and the way it is
Gone are the old days
Now we're on to something new
Our lives in the fast lane
Though it's not the same without you
It's not the same without you
We will keep, on our feet
In the streets that will never sleep
Gone are the old days
Now we're on to something new
Our lives in the fast lane
Though it's not the same without you
just when i thought i was gone,
too far, too far gone and no one cared
just when i thought i was lost,
so lost i'd never be found
i turn around and you're right there,
you're right there
you open up your arms and give me a new start
i need you, i need you more than my next breath
i know that i am loved, cuz you bought me with your blood
i need you, i need you more than my next breath yeah
ashamed of who i've become,
afraid that if i look up i'd see your tears
but you have called me by name
and you have loved me the same
i'm forever changed and you are here,
you are here
you open up your arms and give me a new start
i need you, i need you more than my next breath
i know that i am loved, cuz you bought me with your blood
i need you, i need you more than my next breath yeah
i surrender my soul,
to your love, to your hope
where you go i will go with you
you open up your arms and give me a new start
i need you, i need you more than my next breath
i know that i am loved, cuz you bought me with your blood
I took a walk down a country road
I know this might sound dumb maybe
But I was all alone
If you think that I'm going somewhere
Take my hand I'll lead you there
Don't want to have to call you up from a pay phone
It's a long and lonely road, it's a long and lonely road
If you don't like it then you don't take it
It's a long and lonely road
I took a walk down a country road
I know this might sound dumb maybe
But I was all alone
If you think that I'm going somewhere
Take my hand I'll lead you there
Don't want to have to call you up from a pay phone
It's a long and lonely road, it's a long and lonely road
If you don't like it then please don't take it
It's a long and lonely road
I know it is so hard for you and I to be apart
I'm slowly fading, you're my lady
That keeps me moving on, on
It's a long and lonely road, it's a long and lonely road
If you don't like it then you don't take it
It's a long and lonely road, it's a long and lonely road
If you don't like it then you don't take it
Broken words said to me
These broken mirrors make it hard to see
Does anyone feel the same?
I need some help, I need some change
Broken dreams and broken hearts
You broke my trust right from the start
How am I supposed to feel
When nothing's ever real?
If you want me try to take me
On the inside, just like a racecar
Carry on, but daddy's gone
Tell me what did I do wrong
I need your help cause I don't know
Take it slow, Look out below
And I'm traveling past the ever-growing graffiti on the over-pass
I wave to everybody while I fly on past
Cause this racecar was built to last
If you want me try to take me
On the inside, just like a racecar
Cut the corners if you'd like to
Take me away
I want to but I can't let go
It's six in the morning here
I lay awake I'm waiting for my mind to clear up
So I can rewind and just count myself to sleep
And everyday I want to climb to a new height
My life is like the making of a long ride
I started the ignition such a ling time ago
If you want me try to take me
On the inside, just like a racecar
Cut the corners if you'd like to
Take me away
I want to but I can't let go
I'll let you drive, I'll let you drive
When we were younger we used to sit on my porch
And talk smack about girls and professional sports
There's a lot of things I wanted to say
But never got a chance to find a way
(One) take a good look at all of your high schools
this is the first reason that I want to write you
it must be tough when society is messed up
Gotta save money, please don't take it out on us
Do they even know? Do they even know?
If I was brave I'd write a letter to the president
And have him pass it to the leaders of our parliament
But for now I won't say nothing
From all the kids who would stand in my residence
Who see this letter as a statement of our innocence
But for now I won't say nothing
Now that we're older a brand new story unfolds
About God and the laws that we've always been told
And there's a lot of things I wanted to say
But never got a chance to find a way
Same-sex marriage in a state where they don't care
Murder is wrong but the jail time's not fair
Not to mention date rape, felony and car theft
Break it down and tell me what we've got left
Do they even know? Do they even know?
If I was brave I'd write a letter to the president
And have him pass it to the leaders of our parliament
But for now I won't say nothing
From all the kids who would stand in my residence
Who see this letter as a statement of our innocence
As for now I'll start with something
Take a good look at Tommy, he's a track star
Good role model, had a chance to go real far
Then the school made a budget-cut
Cut out the track team
Now instead Tommy is a crack head
Same-sex marriage in a state where they don't care
Murder is wrong but the jail time's unfair
Not to mention date rape, felony, and car theft
Break it down and tell me what we've got left
If I was brave I'd write a letter to the president
And have him pass it to the leaders of our parliament
But for now I won't say nothing
From all the kids who would stand in my residence
Who see this letter as a statement of our innocence
They teach us how to talk, they'll teach us how to walk
They'll teach us how to dance just like this
They'll teach us how to dress in nothin' but the best
It's all about success
Why do we fill our heads
With these things that all make no sense
We're no different from the rest
We're all just tryin' to shake this mess
And I don't wanna look inside myself cause
Then I'll have to change somethin' else and
I don't want to live, like someone else I'm
Happy in my skin, bein' myself
Let's dance
They teach us how to roll, make em lots of dough
Money is the god we work for
Keep up with the style, this artificial smile
Will only last a while
Why do we fill our heads
With these things that all make no sense
We're no different from the rest
We're all just tryin' to shake this mess
And I don't wanna look inside myself cause
Then I'll have to change somethin' else and
I don't want to live, like someone else I'm
Happy in my skin, bein' myself
Grown up, now it's my turn
Dare me to make my move
Nowhere to go
And I still don't know
But I'll make it through
Times change, change like the wind
I'm blown away again
Goodbye to my friends
New life begins
Without you
These were the days the choices we make
Decide who we will be
And where we go
As we say goodbye
The look in your eye is screaming silently
Remember to never forget
Move on, watching you live
Dying to be like you
I'd go back in time
But I can't press rewind
Sad but true
Broke down, I'll be okay
I'm gonna make it through
I won't be afraid
Starting today
Without you
i hate airports, i know they hate me
i know they jade me and that's my point
i hate airports, i know they hate me
i know they jade me and that's my point
i hate airports, i know they hate me
i know they jade me and that's my point
i hate airports, i know they hate me
i know they jade me and that's my point

tsa, you're too extreme
You get me so simply
But my heart won't let me
I won't forget that night I saw her at the movies
She has this way about her, she smiles whenever she walks
I'm trying to find the nerve to finally introduce me
She had this glow about her you'd catch whenever she talks
Let's go, knocking on my window
We can watch the late show
And movies made for cable
And then we'll talk, listening to punk rock
We'll hang out and wait up
Until the sun comes up
You get me, oh so simply
But my heart just won't let me
I won't forget that night I saw her at the movies
She has this way about her, she smiles whenever she walks
I'm trying to find the nerve to finally introduce me
She had this glow about her you'd catch whenever she talks
Let's go, knocking on my window
We can watch the late show
And movies made for cable
And then we'll talk, listening to punk rock
We'll hang out and wait up
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
But this year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
But this year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance
But you still catch my eye
Tell me baby
Do you recognize me?
Well
It's been a year
It doesn't surprise me
Merry Christmas,
I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I love you"
and meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now
I know you'd fool me again
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
A crowded room
Friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you
And your soul of ice
My god I thought you were
Someone to rely on
I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man under cover but you tore me apart
You tore me apart,
I've found a real love
You will never fool me again
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man under cover but you tore me apart
This year,
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone,
It's over, it's over
Twelve days later and I can't start over
I left her, she hates me
We've been friends since 1990
Don't tell me it's over
I need you more than the sun
She's telling me that we're done
I can't believe that it's over
I need you more than the sun
She's telling me that we're done
I can't believe that it's over
I should've known all along
It's over, it's over
Three months later but I can't console her
I'm run down, I'm clinging
Left a message, but her phone's not ringing
It's over, so over
The sun is shining but my heart is sober
Pretending I'm alright
Sleep all day cuz I stay up all night
Don't tell me it's over
I need you more than the sun
She's telling me that we're done
I can't believe that it's over
I need you more than the sun
She's telling me that we're done
I can't believe that it's over
I should've known all along
I should've known all along
I need you more than the sun
I need you more than the sun
I need you more than the sun
I need you more than the sun
You're telling me that we're done
I can't believe that it's over
You're telling me that we're done
It's over, it's over, it's over
It's over, it's over, we're done
I need you more than I thought
This past week I learned a lot
What makes
All of us hate
We're all the same
We roll the dice
And we play Your game
We complicate
Show us the way
Before it's too late and the whole thing breaks
We have a name
We all create
Everything else
But mistakes we made
We'll make a change
We'll concentrate
Before we suffocate
Can't hold this in and keep it quiet any longer
We're fallin' in and now this feeling's getting stronger
Take my breath away
Now, I'm tryin' to get up
I'm tryin' to retrace my steps back
To where ever I messed up
Is forever enough?
(I'm holdin' on)
I know You'll be there
Whenever I wake up
What makes
Everything change
We're not the same
We all get stuck in the same cliche
We take it in
We dominate
Put on the pressure
And the whole thing breaks
Our common weight
Why do we hate
We throw it away
Like the last crusade
We rearrange
We need to change
Before we suffocate
Can't hold this in and keep it quiet any longer
We're fallin' in and now this feeling's getting stronger
Can't hold this in and keep it quiet any longer
We're fallin' in and now this feeling's getting stronger
Take my breath away now
I'm tryin' to get up
I'm tryin' to retrace my steps back
To where ever I messed up
Is forever enough
(I'm holdin' on)
I know You'll be there
Whenever I wake up
Now, I'm tryin' to get up
I'm tryin' to retrace my steps back
I've falling in and now
This feeling's getting stronger
You take my breath away now
I'm tryin' to get up
I'm tryin' to retrace my steps back
To where ever I messed up
Is forever enough?
(Is forever enough?)
(I'm holdin' on)
I know You'll be there
Whenever I wake up
When ever I wake up
(I'll know You'll be there)
Whenever I wake up
Whenever I wake up
When I wake up
What makes
All of us hate
Show us the way
Before it's to late and the whole thing breaks
There she was, 5 foot 3, a picture of my mother's mother
She showed me love, and all the ways of God
Her final days were spent in bed then she passed away
I won't forget her smiling face when she left us that night
But I still miss you
All the times we spent together
To hear you talk about the weather
I always prayed you'd get well soon
I wish my prayers came true
I know that Jesus has the answer
And He's way bigger than the cancer in you
But I still miss you
If dreams came true, just one more chance to talk to you
And thank you for the time you spent teaching me the truth
A boy back then, I've grown up, now I'm a man
I can finally understand the things you said to me
But I still miss you
All the times we spent together
To hear you talk about the weather
I always prayed you'd get well soon
I wish my prayers came true
I know that Jesus has the answer
And He's way bigger than the cancer in you
But I still miss you
I need some help to carry on
You never ever leave my mind
My sweet, sweet, Madeline
Every time I look into your eyes
I feel like I'm alive
And I can barely make a sound
Whenever you're around
You can find me hiding in the crowd
Next time you come to town
Hey, hey, I've been waitin' all day
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay, I go
Can't ever find the words to let you know
Sometimes you play my mind a million times
And every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay, I go
Can't ever find the words to let you know
Sometimes you play my mind a million times
Wish I could somehow let you know
That all the way from here to Mexico
You're the one and only girl for me
Hehe tu es un, bonjour, oui oui
And my tongue gets tied so quick
I get so nervous I'm feelin' sick
And turn into the world's worst Romeo
Every time I try to say hello
You're so fine, been on my mind
Get nervous every time I see you hop online
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay, I go
Can't ever find the words to let you know
Sometimes you play my mind a million times
And every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay, I go
Can't ever find the words to let you know
Sometimes you play my mind a million times
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay, I go
Can't ever find the words to let you know
Sometimes you play my mind a million times
And every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay, I go
Can't ever find the words to let you know
Sometimes you play my mind a million times
Every time I want to say hello
Every time I want to stay, I go
Can't ever find the words to let you know
He was a simple boy, he just liked to have fun
He never wanted to be just like his dad was
He was a dreamer but he had never had none
Who made the most of his life but never had one
He was a single boy, he could never slow down
He always wanted to leave but didn't know how
He was a dreamer who seemed to never break ground
Who spent most of his life in a small town
Shake up my life, let's go
Back to the days
When we were young and not restless
We still believed and hadn't built our defenses
I'll tell you one thing's for sure
Till we make the decision
We'll never take this world
Unless we make a head on collision
A head on collision
And daddy told her she could never have
Late night help with her math
So she sits crying by the window
Every time she gets another A
She makes it another day
And it's just that simple
Shake up my life, let's go
Back to the days
When we were young and not restless
We still believed and hadn't built our defenses
I'll tell you one thing's for sure
Till we make the decision
We'll never take this world
Unless we make a head on collision
A head on collision
Here they come now
Will you come down?
Make 'em run now
On to the next town
Here they come now
Let's make 'em run now
No time to fake now
Everything breaks down
Here they come now
Will you come down?
Make 'em run now
On to the next town
Here they come now
Let's make 'em run now
No time to fake now
Everything breaks down
Here they come now
Will you come down?
Make 'em run now
On to the next town
Let's go back to the days
When we were young and not restless
We still believed and hadn't built our defenses
I'll tell you one thing's for sure
Till we make the decision
We'll never take this world
Unless we make a head on collision
Let's go back to the days
When we were young and not restless
We still believed and hadn't built our defenses
I'll tell you one thing's for sure
Till we make the decision
We'll never take this world
Unless we make a head on collision
Don't you know
There's more to this than what we thought?
'Cause we were never listening
We heard it all before but we missed it
When all we needed was a head on collision
Don't you know
There's more to this than what we thought?
'Cause we were never listening
We heard it all before but we missed it
From underneath I wanted you
To see the first thing that I ever poured my heart into
You'll never know the pain that I've been through
I'm not so sure you'll ever know
And so I'll make you understand the words that built my life
Were not from you, but from my father's hand
Do you remember that cold day in December
Leaving everything you knew behind
I may never know how it feels to stand beside you
Or take your hand when I need some direction
And I may never know what it's like to see you smile back at me
Or know you'd be proud of me
From underneath I promise to erase the past
And let my heart forgive the former you
Replace the dark of old and start brand new
I never thought I'd see the day
I walk toward the end of life and turn the other way
I'm reaching out to take my Father's hand
Do you remember that cold day in December
Leaving everything you knew behind
I may never know how it feels to stand beside you
Or take your hand when I need some direction
And I may never know what it's like to see you smile back at me
My life is simple and
I'm not a superman
I never said that I was more than that
I'm not a wanna be
I'm who I want to be
And I intend to be
How you created me
I…I need Somebody on the inside
I…I want Somebody who can set me free
I'm not The only one who feels like this
I've got a few others around me
Hey let me hear you say
Make some noise if you feel this way
Hey if you've got a friend like that
Hey lets scream and shout
If you know what I'm talking about
Anybody got a friend like that
I once was little and
I always had a plan
You thought my friendliness
Was just an act (hey)
I'll be your friend indeed
And you can count on me
And I can guarantee
Your friend I'll always be
I…I need Somebody on the inside
I…I want Somebody who can set me free
I'm not The only one who feels like this
I've got a few others around me
Hey let me hear you say
Make some noise if you feel this way
Hey if you've got a friend like that
Hey lets scream and shout
If you know what I'm talking about
Anybody got a friend like that
Does anyone out there feel alone
Can anyone hear me (woh, woh)
Down and out your heart is cold
Its never easy (woh, woh)
But if you believe that there is hope
Then sing it with me
Hey let me hear you say
Make some noise if you feel this way
Hey if you've got a friend like that
Hey lets scream and shout
If you know what I'm talking about
Anybody got a friend like that
Hey let me hear you say
Make some noise if you feel this way
Hey if you've got a friend like that
Hey lets scream and shout
If you know what I'm talking about
Anybody got a friend like that
I…I need Somebody on the inside
I…I want Somebody who can set me free
I'm not The only one who feels like this
I've got a few others around me
you talk then you stop then you look at the mop-headed kid
who is right by your side
he feels great as he takes all the jokes you create
and he'll steal them with all of your lines
everybody thinks he's the greatest
you know he's just a fraud
he makes you so frustrated
can't wait till he gets caught
now he's taken all your words,
going through the motions as if he's never learned
and now he's just a mirror that you see
without causing commotion, just stop being me
you get up, take a walk, cuz you almost threw up
from the way that he hits on your girl
find the sink, take a drink cuz there's nothing left to bring
bro, you know that it's already brought
now he's taken all your words,
going through the motions as if he's never learned
and now he's just a mirror that you see
without causing commotion, just stop being me
you're the scum and i'm the mountain water
rolling through the fields where you're not invited
go your own way now before it's too late
just stop being me
every- body thinks you're the lamest
we all know you're a fraud
life can be so frustrating
i'm so glad you got caught
now he's taken all your words,
going through the motions as if he's never learned
and now he's just a mirror that you see
without causing commotion, just stop being me
you're the scum and i'm the mountain water
rolling through the fields where you're not invited
go your own way now before it's too late
Stepping over two steps closer
I sit around wasting time
Feel like the poster for a self help line
Well me know the truth when we're older
For the first time my whole life
I'm not afraid of feeling alive
For the last time I'm falling behind
Nothing out there will change my mind
Let's start over crimson clover
While these golden nights get colder
If I could I'd press rewind turn on record and leave the past behind
Will we know the truth when we're older
For the first time my whole life
I'm not afraid of feeling alive
For the last time I'm falling behind
Nothing out there will change my mind
When you find me will you remind me
One step closer, two steps closer
For the first time my whole life
I'm not afraid of feeling alive
For the last time I'm falling behind
Nothing out there will change me
For the first time my whole life
I'm not afraid of feeling alive
For the last time I'm falling behind
Nothing out there will change me
For the first time my whole life
I'm not afraid of feeling alive
This is the last time I'm falling behind
I walk the line
Leave it all behind
I've been waiting forever
Lets go back in time
When I could read your mind
Still I've been waiting
It took the seasons going by
To know its not my fault
I tried to be perfect, tried to be honest
Tried to be everything that you ever wanted
I tried to be stronger, tried to be smarter
Tried to be everything but you
Its been so long
Since you've been home
I used to wait up forever
I used to say a prayer
Wishing you were there
And I'm still waiting
You told me once
You'd show up
But I fell for that
Before I fell to pieces
Then I woke up
To no one,
Just a picture of Jesus
And a house left in pieces
It took the seasons going by
To know its not my fault
I tried to be perfect, tried to be honest
Tried to be everything that you ever wanted
I tried to be stronger, tried to be smarter
Tried to be everything but you
I wanted you
I need you
I want to believe you
I wanted you
I need you
I want to believe you
I tried to be perfect, tried to be honest
tried to be everything but you
I tried to be perfect, tried to be honest
Tried to be everything that you ever wanted
I tried to be stronger, tried to be smarter
I saw her yesterday
And I never felt a feeling like the one I felt today
And now she's taking over me
I've never met anyone like you
Cause I never could find the words to write you
She's been on my mind (she's working overtime)
She's got perfect reasons
Says she loves to talk to Jesus
I think I'll believe her when she says
Life can be so simple if we'd all just learn to pray
She's got every little thing I wanted
And it still feels just like the day it started
I'll say goodbye to the broken-hearted
And I could never express the way I felt before tonight
She sits there all alone
She's reading from a chapter that she sometimes calls her own
And now she's taken over me
This girl I once rejected
Has now become the girl of my dreams
She's got every little thing I wanted
And it still feels just like the day it started
I'll say goodbye to the broken-hearted
And I could never express the way I felt before tonight
She's not an ordinary girl
I see it in her eyes
I'm just an ordinary boy
God must have heard my prayers last night
She's been on my mind (she's working overtime)
She's got perfect reasons, says she loves to talk to Jesus
I think I believe her when she says
Life can be so simple if we'd all just learn to pray
Every little thing I wanted
And it still feels just like the day it started
So say goodbye to the broken-hearted
And I could never express the way I felt before tonight
She's not an ordinary girl
I can see it in her eyes
I'm just an ordinary boy
chapter 1, here's my story
probably not the one you wan- na hear
my world was spinning round and round
until my hopes they hit the ground
feels like i've disappeared
i kept it hidden in my secrets
my lies became a blur over time
i was just too blind to see
the truth was staring back at me
love is not a controlling hand
i'm giving up my secrets, i'm giving up my faults
telling you i'm empty, should have know all along
it's taken me my whole life to realize i'm wrong
i'm giving up my secrets, i'm done holding on
staring backwards like a mirror
at someone i can barely see
the shadows of my past regrets, they disappear like silhouettes
the son has come, i wanna be free
i'm giving up my secrets, i'm giving up my faults
telling you i'm empty, should have know all along
it's taken me my whole life to realize i'm wrong
i'm giving up my secrets, i'm done holding on
Hey, hey, hey ,hey
Ohhh...
Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby
Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out and
Love's strange so real in the dark
Think of the tender things that we were working on
Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, baby
Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me
Will you stand above me?
Look my way, never love me
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down
Will you recognise me?
Call my name or walk on by
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down, down
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Ohhhh.....
Don't you try to pretend
It's my feeling we'll win in the end
I won't harm you or touch your defenses
Vanity and security
Don't you forget about me
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby
Going to take you apart
I'll put us back together at heart, baby
Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
When you walk away
Or will you walk away?
Will you walk on by?
Come on - call my name
Will you all my name?
I say :
We're the ones who believe in the things unseen
This home, this body is the in-between
We're the ones who fight down on our knees
Who dare to love our enemies, love enemies
They say it sounds insane, we say that we've been changed
By the power of crazy love
This world, it looks at us like we're ridiculous
Maybe it's all because of crazy love
We're the ones gonna put it all in reverse
Gonna die to ourselves, gonna live to serve
'Cause when you get what you get when you walk by faith
Is it really so dumb to give it all away? Give it all away
They say it sounds insane, we say that we've been changed
By the power of crazy love
This world, it looks at us like we're ridiculous
Maybe it's all because of crazy love
Crazy love
We know it sounds absurd, we don't get what we deserve
It's by grace we are saved
They say it sounds insane, we say that we've been changed
By the power of crazy love
This world, it looks at us like we're ridiculous
Maybe it's all because of crazy love
Crazy love
We're the ones who believe in the things unseen
This home, this body is the in-between
(Crazy love)
We're the ones who fight down on our knees
Who dare to love our enemies
We're the ones gonna put it all in reverse
Gonna die to ourselves, gonna live to serve
I'm not falling for anymore of these tricks,
I'm so tired of everything here,
The sun is calling me to the west,
Everyone's having fun out there,
My bags are packed as I'm looking out the window,
Everything is so outdated here,
I wanna move west where the sun is shining,
I want my friends to all be there,
[Chorus:]
Let's pack up and move to California,
She's got lots of friends out there,
We'll never get bored cause we can go boardin',
Let's let the sunshine take us there,
I'm tired of taking it slow,
So tired but I'm not sleeping,
I'm wired about to pick up my board,
Cause we're all headed out for the weekend,
Let's pack up and move to California,
Hop on board before we get older,
Raise your hand and shout for California
Come on,
Come on,
Come on,
Come on,
[Chorus]
Come on,
Come on,
Come on,
Come on,
[Chorus x2]
Let's pack up and move to California,
Hop on board before we get older,
Raise your hands we're headed for the border,
Come on,
Come on,
Come on,
When I hurt you, I never meant to hurt you
I'm just trying to work through things in my life
Emotions can be mean and I didn't really mean it
I never stopped believing in your truth
I'm not big on waiting
I could use some patience
This time I'm not afraid of losing
Wrap your arms around me, I know
Trying hard not to let go
Every time I stand up, I fall without you
When you wrap your arms around me, I know
With me wherever I go
Nothing else matters at all when you're here
You're always near me even when it's ugly
Even when I'm screaming up to you
I'm thankful for your mercy, you always seem to hear me
It's not always easy to push through
I'm not big on waiting
I could use some patience
This time I'm not afraid of losing
And I'm not one to frown when
The sun is going down and
I'm happy to just wait for you
Wrap your arms around me, I know
Trying hard not to let go
Every time I stand up, I fall without you
When you wrap your arms around me, I know
With me wherever I go
And nothing else matters at all when you're here
I promise I'll never doubt you
You know I'm lost without you
Please hold me in your arms tonight
Wrap your arms around me, I know
Trying hard not to let go
Every time I stand up, I fall without you
When you wrap your arms around me, I know
With me wherever I go
Nothing else matters at all when you're here
Some girls tell you what you wanna hear
Those girls always make it very clear
But I know things are not what they appear
Nothing from nothing gets you nothing at all
We talk hours on the telephone
But you shut down when we're alone
You stop us from being close
Nothing from nothing gets you nothing at all
There's no rhyme and there's no reason
She don't want anything other than
She don't need anyone other than
She don't see anyone but herself, herself
I don't want anyone other than
I don't need anyone other than
I will solve your mystery and make it ancient history
Some guys try to hide the way they feel
And sometimes it takes someone to break the seal
You can't negotiate a one-way deal
Nothing from nothing gets you nothing at all
I'll wait I've got the patience of a saint
I just don't want you to hesitate
Cause you don't ever wanna mess with fate
Nothing from nothing gets you nothing at all
There's no rhyme and there's no reason
She don't want anything other than
She don't need anyone other than
She don't see anyone but herself, herself
I don't want anyone other than
I don't need anyone other than
I will solve your mystery and make it ancient history
Don't mislead me, don't mistreat me
I don't understand why you're wearing me down
Please believe me, why defeat me
I don't understand why you're breaking me down
She don't want anyone other than
She don't need anything other than
She don't see anyone but herself, herself
I don't want anyone other than
I don't need anyone other than
I will solve your mystery and make it ancient history
Ron and Nancy got the house but Sid and Nancy rule
I died 8 years ago I'm still a legend at my high
school
I stole a Chevy and I wrapped it round a tree
But that's OK cause no one's gonna make the next
century
I'm up in heaven now they say I'm here to stay
Where the clouds are really puffy and the angels sing
every day
Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia, Wo-oh . . .
The cafeteria's got everything it's gonna drive me
Cause it looks just like a big Hawaiian party that my
mother had
It's like the worst Elvis film I've ever seen
Technicolor luau all on technicolor green
There's camping trips and donkey rides and singing
round the fire
And they signed me up for surfing
But they can't get me in the choir
Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia, Wo-oh . . .
But there she was this morning getting fitted for her
wings
Leather boots magenta hair and saying nasty things
I'd say she was an angel but it's stupid and it's
obvious
I said you'll hate it here cause we're the only ones
like us
It's crypto-fascist mania it's silicon deliria
Yeah, she said, you're right, but I like the
cafeteria
Hey God we're the bad kids we're so nasty mean and
vile
God looks like a guidance counselor God's got that
smile
God says, how could this be, that's really odd
I guess I'll have to check my records, silly me, you
know, I'm only
God . . .
The waves are perfect and the sun will always shine
But there's got to be more to death than surfing all
the time
I know the signs of self-destruction so I try to stop
each new kid
Don't be like me, forever young, forever stupid
Yeah, I found love here but I'll bet you'll find it
there
Where they don't always make the same joke
Gee you make a heavenly pair
Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia
Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia
Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia
Gone away far from home, the weekend's over
Let's pack up and start again
Twenty days on the road, just left port dover
With sixteen days to go
I just called my mom to tell her that I miss her
I just wrote my girl, man I can't remember
The last time I kissed her
Soon I'll be at home with all my friends
After thirty-six days on the road
Lights go down, the noise has faded
We'll leave this town anticipated
Soon we'll be back on the road again
All is lost, but not forgotten
One by one the fights we've fought
And soon we'll be back on the road again
For thirty-six days
We turn around, face the crowd
We're starting over, this time north of L..A
Once again here we are, it's a new beginning
I'd live this life any day
I feel so alive, though a part of me is gone
And this life I lead, is the life that I've dreamed of
Since I was the age of twelve
And while I'll sing with all that is within me
After thirty-six days on the road
Lights do down the noise has faded
We'll leave this town anticipated
Soon we'll be back on the road again
All is lost, but not forgotten
One by one the fights we've fought
And soon we'll be back on the road again
And soon we'll be back on the road again
i've seen an orphan's heart filled with the father's love
i've heard the hungry and the thirsty say i've had enough
ya i've seen hopelessness get swallowed up in hope
when all god's people say okay here we go
we can change the world, you and me
we can make a dif- ference if we just believe
when the hands and feet start moving together
we can change the world forever
i've seen the broken one get healed of his disease
wit- nessed the beauty of forgiveness save my family
so many cities need revival of the soul
and all god's people say come on here we go, come on here we go
we can change the world, you and me
we can make a dif- ference if we just believe
when the hands and feet start moving together
we can change the world forever
we know what we've gotta do
it's time for us to show the truth
it's up to me, it's up to you
we can change the world, we can change the world
we can change the world, you and me
we can make a dif- ference if we just believe
when the hands and feet start moving together
Your life dreams are shattered
You're gone away
We've cried here for hours
And the hours turn to days
We know you regret this
Leaving us here
With portraits and memories
That we've held so dear
When I hear your name, it's not the same
No matter what they say, I'm not okay
And we started at zero and went different ways
Now we're all out here wasting away
And if we started at zero
Then how did things change?
It seems like just yesterday
We were the same
It's been three months since you left us
So far nothing's been the same
And my question without answer
Is am I the one to blame?
And he was such a good description
Of a favored future man
He spoke well of other people
And they said the same for him
When I hear your name, it's not the same
No matter what they say, I'm not okay
And we started at zero and went different ways
Now we're all out here wasting away
And if we started at zero
Then how did things change?
Feels like just yesterday
We were the same, we were the same
They say they're sorry
Well, what are they sorry for?
How can they possible know
What I'm going through?
I feel like no one's ever had to deal with the pain
That I'm dealing with right now
Just six months ago
Everything was fine or so it seemed
What turn of event
Caused him to go downhill?
His parents are devastated
His girlfriend's depressed
What was he thinking?
And we started at zero
And went different ways
Now we're all out here
Wasting away, wasting away
Wasting away, wasting away
And we started at zero
And went different ways
Now we're all out here wasting away
And if we started at zero
Then how did things change?
Seems like just yesterday
We were the same
We were the same
We were the same
tally-tally ho, tally-tally ho-ho
my eye's on the mark and we're taking it home
tally-tally ho, tally-tally ho-ho
fire in the air and we're taking it home
pouring out the gasoline, ignite the fumes (wo-oh)
sweet taste of victory in view
tally-tally ho, tally-tally ho-ho
my eye's on the mark and we're taking it home
tally-tally ho, tally-tally ho-ho
fire in the air and we're taking it home
won't get the best of me, you never do (wo-oh)
this clash is long-time overdue
tally-tally ho, tally-tally ho-ho
my eye's on the mark and we're taking it home
tally-tally ho, tally-tally ho-ho
I'm hard to understand when you don't know me
But can we still be friends
It's better off that way
Through my eyes I'll see you there
It's hard to understand
When no one ever seems to care
With my words I'll make a change
And try to rearrange
And walls of fear come crashing down
I won't look back don't turn around
And with my life I'll make a change
And hope we'll all be friend again
It's hard to make amends
I know it isn't easy but try and understand
I've stood alone a million times
That's not the same as being alone
I've felt ignored, and left behind before
But that's not the same as being disowned
Open my eyes, and help me see that there's a world outside of me
I'm no different, I want to make a difference tonight
The words don't always come out right
And I don't normally cry
But you didn't see the look in her eyes
I've been shaken
From my head, on down to my toes
Lord use me, take me where you want me to go
I can't help it, my heart has been replaced with a face
I'm ready, these hands are dedicated to change
I've hurt before, but held inside
I've seen their tears, 'cause pain is something they can't hide
What makes us different?
We forward all the sound in this neighbourhood were gonna do it rigt, were gonna do it good and all the people in the stands if you think you should, stand up stand up and thier standing in the crowd y'all
stand up stand up, oh oh yeah oh oh yeh
Bring it down like the funk town,is anybody down with big town, here we go were the boys from big town.
God I messed it up again, I seem to do this all the time
Can you forgive me one again, or have I finally crossed the line?
They say Your grace is always with me and You're near me all the time
If that's the case I pray sincerely that Your love is truly blind
The people on the outside watching me follow the crowd, find a way out
You know something on the inside's pushing me without a doubt
So I'm letting it go
I'm never always right and it's plain to see
You love me Jesus, It's a mystery
You know my faults, You know my wrongs
And You still love me
God I know that you exist, I've been told a thousand times
But my friends they all insist that the turth is just a lie
You see the lives that they all live seems like a party all the time
The temptations I resist, because it's You I glorify
Let everything that I do or say reflect You in every way
She woke up with a tear-stained pillow
She just broke up with a nice young fellow
All those tears you cry, now it's time to say goodbye
You're on your own, you're all alone
We're better than the words you speak
So much more than incomplete
Figure out what life means out on our own
Words you say can't bring us down
We've all failed and hit the ground
Now it's time for us just to take control
Can't comply we're perfect in your eyes
We fall down but it's just a part of life
All those tears you cry, now it's time to say goodbye you're on your
own you're all alone
We're better than the words you speak
So much more than incomplete
Figure out what life means out on our own
Words you say can bring us down
We've all failed, hit the ground
Now it's time for us just to take control
Now I'm here to let you know
That we can't make it on our own
What's mine is yours I'm letting go
You know I'd never doubt you
You know I'm lost without you
I'm giving you control
We're better than the words you speak
So much more than incomplete
Figure out what life means out on our own
Words you say can't bring us down
We've all failed, hit the ground
went to t.o. for the weekend
backstage passes for the show
muddy shoes, fresh tattoos and a brand new feel- ing
that tonight will be alright we're letting go
how does it feel just to know that we're out of our minds
and we don't need a reason
how does it feel to know you're alright
how does it feel just to know that we are alive
there ain't no better reason
we can make it to- night everything is alright
distant dreams, a trillion questions
and we exaggerate them all
we think the teens in magazines they have all the answers
as we build this machine to watch it fall
how does it feel just to know that we're out of our minds
and we don't need a reason
how does it feel to know you're alright
how does it feel just to know that we are alive
there ain't no better reason
we can make it to- night everything is alright
how does it feel to know you're alright
'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take Him at His Word
Just to rest upon His promise
And to know "thus saith the Lord"
You're the shelter in the storm
You're the dearest friend I know
Oh, Light of the world, carry me home
Oh, for grace to trust Him more
Jesus, Jesus how I trust Him
How I proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus
Oh, for grace to trust Him more
Yes, 'tis sweet to trust in Jesus
Just from sin and self to cease
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest and joy and peace
I'm gonna say whatever's on my mind
As you walk away with half of what is mine
Nothing's gonna change
So I'm giving up on you
And you're not gonna change my mind
You complicate until the dotted line
So I wrote this song to try to pass the time
You can't take my dignity
You can't take my pride
I've got my integrity
But you've just crossed the line
No one's even heard of me
Well I'm not gonna cry
Warwickshire to Fraserville and all between
You have left us here a life of memories
You forever changed the lives of all of us who have known you
Truth be told, this world feels cold without you
You gave all of us a better name
So here's the final toast we raise to you, dear friend
Good times will never be the same
And our thoughts still remain
We'll hold you in your hearts
Forever and a day
And we'll never be the same
So the last toast that we raise goes to you
So if you ever lost someone that's close to you
Waiting for the answers like the spring to bloom
I hope their tears are wiped away
When they're at the pearly gates praying for you
started out, we were 17
bought a van and we hit the scene
didn't know exactly what to do
finished school, got our band on track
signed our first record contract
never thought our dreams would all come true
everything we ever wanted
we just wanna thank you for all that we've been through together
dreams become reality
and we just wanna thank you one more time
left home, ontario, heard our song on the radio
never knew that life could be this way
loved a girl and she loved me
bought a house in tennessee
i thank god for blessing me each day
everything we ever wanted
we just wanna thank you for all that we've been through together
dreams become reality
and we just wanna thank you one more time
we'll never thank you enough
we just wanna thank you for all that we've been through together
dreams become reality
Lying in my ocean
Thinking of his subtle notions
Waiting to hear from the winds of your heart
Searching for a love with no end
And I'm smiling cause on you I depend
And I'm striving for your never failing love
I'm crying out this is my prayer
I gave my word and this I swear
I'll follow you cause you've promised me
So return to me
Praying for a change in my spirit
Reaching out and I know you can hear it
I had another dream today
I gotta let it out
The media has lost it's brain- what's this all about?
The action, the drama has got me on my seat's edge all the time
TSN's been on my screen since I read the news last night
If it's true, then can someone let me know?
I need proof, that this rumor's not a joke
Is it a myth, a legend, an old wives tale?
I guess we'll see it through
Can we get back to the basics?
Back where we came from?
When we didn't have no worries
We were basking in the sun
Sometimes the least of my problems feel like the biggest ones
When you said that you were leaving, felt like we had just begun
It would be so easy
Oh, if it was that easy
I can't sleep tonight
So tell me one more time
When I dream, it will be you that's on my mind
It's my heart you hold, so never let it go
I still love you like I loved you long ago
Saw you out on the freeway, and later at the show
It could be my imagination, but I know I'm not alone
All the lights in the city are burning out with time
But there's a light that hangs above, and it's keeping us in line
All this time that's running by won't stop until we stand still
'Cause we are incomplete until we finally breathe
Let's take a look at the future
See where we left off
I'm so grateful that I found you
Joanna sits on her porch, what am I to do
I once was her boy but now we're done I'm feeling blue
I'm getting out this town, Starbucks drive-thru
I reach for my cash and only find pictures of you
Should I call or should I run?
Turn around or just move on?
Either choice I make I'm scared will still be wrong
Take, take, take it till I just can't take it from you (Joanna)
Fake, fake, fake it till I just can't make it with you (Joanna)
Say goodby a hundred times, but never see it through
The hardest way to say Joanna, I need you
Took a trip out west, went to Saskatoon
To clear all the thoughts in my head, the only thoughts I knew
Turned on the radio, a stupid thing to do
Cuz all the songs I hear remind me of you
They say that lvoe is more than a feeling
I'm tired of the eggshells we'ev been walkinh on
We've been here for far too long
Remember standing on the pier
Even the ocean couldn't come between us
Now the sound of your words seem so turned around
Last time I should have said I'm sorry
But all my pride made me keep ignoring
That the deadline is up when the sun goes down
If I could catch the words before they left my mouth, I'd do it
If I could reach right out turn them all around, I'd do it
But it's out there, yeah I said it
And in a way I don't regret it
Cause I won't sit back and let it slip away
I'm tired of the eggshells we've been walkingon
We've been here for far too long
Hey do you know what happened to the good times?
Rolling like thunder in the night sky Now we seem so far out of reach
Everyone knows, everyone gets older
And you can't stop running until it's over
Cause the love we had is always few and far between
We need to take action for what we've done
Not act like there's nothing wrong
Well the sun has come down
And I can't see the light
Can you believe this
I can't receive this
She was standing over there
And now she's out of sight
I can't concieve this
She seems so conceited
She's gone and I know that I need her
Understand me as I was
No mistake without a cause
Well the campfire started
She sat way over there
In her new sweater
I just gotta get her
She finaly walked apst
And I could smell her hair
So I wrote a letter
I'll never forget her
She's gone and I know that I need her
Let me ride on your wings
We share all our thoughts while we sing
We had the opportunity to perform as "The Who" on NBC's "American Dreams" last year. The show aired October 10th, 2004, and it was just a really, really awesome experience for us. We got to play this song "My Generation", and we found it very challenging because they're...they're...they're legends in my mind, and it's pretty hard to compete with a band like them when you're, you know, just a bunch of, like, guys who can't really play their instruments that well, so... It was really neat for us to be able to do that and, so yeah, here it is: song "My Generation" by "The Who".
To everyone in the world, who's left out on their own
To all the boys and girls with disconnected souls
See the dream awakening before your very eyes
We feel alive inside for the first time,
We've got to run not hide, from the former lives
We gotta take it, make it, never gonna fake it
This time we're breaking free, and making history
They say the dreams that we're chasing, are just a dead-end road
We don't have to embrace the lies that we've been told
The only thing we're missing is a whole new state of mind
We feel alive inside for the first time,
We've got to run not hide, from the former lives
We gotta take it, make it, never gonna fake it
This time we're breaking free, and making history
One day we will see through our tears and our pain
When we stand with the shame in the light
There's a hope that we know,
And we can't let it go
We've got to hold on tonight
We feel alive inside for the first time,
We've got to run not hide, from the former lives
We gotta take it, make it, never gonna fake it
