Another quality install. Here we have a dedicated line installed to a townhome in a unit further down from me. Problem is every bit of the installation is wrong. This is was probably done by a contractor however there was no quality control with Suddenlink. For those of you watching I used to work for Suddenlink and my quality was never like this. I can tell it was a representative of the company (contractor or regular BBT) and not just an illegal hookup. This is due to the brand cable (CommSpec), the F connector/crimping method and official Suddenlink tag at the pedestal end (although they did not fill out the tag correctly). Obvious problems are the open destroyed pedestal, incorrect tagging, use of aerial line for a ground drop, non burial of drop, non highlighted orange marking of the drop before burial, incorrect length of cable (signal loss), incorrect method of routing the cable, wall shot underneath a window and installation through second floor, etc. This is what you get when you pay people poverty level wages, you get this crap. Or in the case of a contractor they are usually paid per job so the contractor does just enough to get a signal and then moves on to the next to get more money. Either way where is the follow up? I called Friday July 31, 2015 to complain and take this down. We will see if Suddenlink fixes this or not. EDIT: To let everyone know it took about a month total. I ended up emailing everyone I could including Suddenlink employees, my townhouse HOA and placing several calls to Suddenlink. Finally someone came and removed the cable from around the building.
