Barbara Eden (born August 23, 1934) is an American film and television actress and singer who is best known for starring as the title role in the sitcom I Dream of Jeannie.
Eden was born Barbara Jean Morehead in Tucson, Arizona, the daughter of Alice Mary (née Franklin) and Hubert Henry Morehead. Her parents divorced when she was three; she and her mother Alice moved to San Francisco, where later her mother married Harrison Connor Huffman, a telephone lineman. The Great Depression deeply affected the Huffman family, and as they were unable to afford many luxuries, Barbara's mother entertained the children by singing songs. This musical background left a lasting impression on the actress, who began taking acting classes because she felt it might help her improve her singing.
Her first public performance was singing in the church choir, where she sang the solos. When she was 14 she sang in local bands for $10 a night in night clubs. At age 16 she became a member of Actor's Equity. She studied singing at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and acting with the Elizabeth Holloway School of Theatre. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco in the Spring Class of 1949 and studied theater for one year at City College of San Francisco. Then she was elected Miss San Francisco, as Barbara Huffman, in 1951. Barbara also entered the Miss California pageant, but did not win.

Life comes to a final chapter
Time fades with your dreams faster
than your eyes can close
The curtain falls
I'm the fallen angel
Coming with the storm
I'm the fallen angel
A holy divine vision
Sky moves in a glorious dance
Rising there is a reign in advance
Can't you see the signs
The great evidence
I'm the fallen angel
Coming to this world
I'm the fallen angel
Stars align in a grand design
A balance of power the darkness shines
Evoking the night from the days
Is my conquerous way
I'm the fallen angel
Coming with the storm
I'm the fallen angel
Coming to this world
I'm the fallen angel
I'm the fallen angel
Some time ago
He was born
Angel or Demon
He was certainly a genius
Since his childhood, victory follows him
His Masters had nothing more to teach
Many challenges he overcame
And rewards received
Around him
An aura of satanism and magic
Involved in an atmosphere
Supernatural geniality
(Chorus)
The young causes fright
His fame grows and everybody wants to see
The Wizard of the South
Of undecipherable smile
Like in a dream, a demon with horns
Tail and shells
Playing violin, a diabolical sonata
The bookstand and the partiturs
Were burning in flames
I have never seen or heard something like it in my life
People that used to cross the cemetery said
That they had seen, hovering over the graves...
A thin and old man playing his violin
(Chorus)
The young causes fright
His fame grows and everybody wants to see
The Wizard of the South
Of undecipherable smile
What is real?
I can’t see it clearly...
Shadows on my eyes, low noises are heard
I feel the cold beneath my feet
And my senses now are lost
Have I been corrupted?
It seems like a punishment
someone is trying to tell me something
I can’t distinguish what is real... I agonize...
In a twisted pain
A storm raises in my head
(Chorus)
I’m losing myself
I’m losing myself
I’m losing myself
It’s time to free yourself - In this hell
It’s time to feel yourself - In this hell
It’s time to free yourself - From this hell
Suddenly I’m waking... "strange places..."
Surrounded by unknown things...
It is a puzzle?
What am I doing here "is it real?"
Questions without answers tormenting me...
Closing my eyes I finally see
There’s an answer that no one has told
I feel the fire that burns my flesh
And my skin are now being ripped
Freedom to my dammed angel
Unleash my demon so I can beat him
Releasing my soul, forces around us
From the shadows and light they arise
We must balance the forces of life
Good and evil, wrong or right
Let the demons and angels fight
To protect the free will
Cause we have the right of choice
Choose what is right, I’m choosing life
I’m losing myself
I’m losing myself
I’m losing myself
It’s time to free yourself - In this hell
It’s time to feel yourself - In this hell
It’s time to free yourself - From this hell
"I forgive you my demon
Spirit that walks alone
Seek and you shall find
In this endless road
Lights blind and hold the night
Lost knowledges
Ghosts in a wide world
They dance around me, temptating me
Calling me, daring me, facing me, yeah
Waiting to be a part of my being
Everywhere I go
A brand world brings me a new horizon
Spirit that feels so cold
Lies, under the heart of the frozen storm
Flashes blind across the sky
Lightnings reflecting, in my closed eyes
They draw all my fears
Inside my mind, while I sleep
In my dreams, now I scream, yeah, trying
To awake from this choice I made
This pouring rain
Makes reality arise out from the shadows
I see the tragic way it goes
The choice was made without remorse
Far from home, the fatalities of been alone
But I must face my destiny
Put my soul of from misery
This strange feeling
That is leading me to the unknown
The Nomad Soul – (3x)
Can you see the twilight over you
Can you hear the voice of the truth
Can you smell the absinth of your soul
Can you feel the energy flows
Can this be a dream or a nightmare
Can this be just a state of mind
Can you show answers
For all your doubts
Can you feel the meaning of life
What’s to find
(Chorus)
Essence inside out
Turns into a call
Brings the destiny shining the ways around
Years passed by
Tries hazed so many lies
Time to realize
If all your acts were right
Use your might, deep insight
Clear and bright
Time flows, life goes, mind grows
But only your essence knows
How invite, what’s inside
To meet the outside
(Chorus)
Essence inside out
Turns into a call
Brings the destiny shining the ways around
Years passed by
Tries hazed so many lies
Time to realize
