Senior officials of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Laos said the two countries would continue their friendship and cooperation, the official news agency KCNA reported on Monday.
At a reception held on Monday for Somsavath Lengsavath, standing vice-prime minister of Laos, DPRK Vice-Premier Ro Tu Chol hailed existing “traditional and comradely relations of friendship and cooperation” between the two countries, said the KCNA.
He also expressed sincere hope that the Lao people would build a more prosperous socialist state.
Somsavath Lengsavath, who arrived here on Monday, said that the friendly and cooperative relations between Laos and the DPRK were growing steadily stronger thanks to the great concern of the leaders of two countries.
The party and the government of Laos support the DPRK to build a thriving nation and achieve the independent reunification of the country, he said.
