I'd like to get you
On a slow boat to China
All to myself alone
To get you and keep you in my arms evermore
Leave all your lovers
Weeping on the faraway shore
Out on the briny
With the moon big and shinny
Melting your heart of stone
Darling, I'd love to get you
On a slow boat to China
All to myself alone
I want a sunday kind of love
A love to last past saturday night
I'd like to know that it's more than love at first sight
I need a sunday kind of love
Oh yeah yeah
I need a, a love that's on the square
Can't seem to find that somebody, someone to care
I'm on a lonely road that leads me nowhere
I need a
I do my sunday dreaming oh yeah all my sunday scheming
Every minute every hour every day
Oh I'm hoping to discover that certain kind of lover
Who will show me the way
My arms need someone to enfold
Keeping me warm when monday's and tuesday's grow cold
Love for all my life to have and to hold
Oh I want a sunday kind of love
There's a somebody I'm longin' to see
I hope that he turns out to be
Someone who'll watch over me
I'm a little lamb who's lost in the wood
I know I could, always be good
To one who'll watch over me
He may not be the man some
Girls think of as handsome
To my heart he carries the key
Won't you tell him please to put on some speed
Follow my lead, oh, how I need
Someone to watch over me
(Bridge)
Won't you tell him please to put on some speed
Follow my lead, oh, how I need
Someone to watch over me
Someone to watch over me
Someone to watch over me
What a difference a day makesTwenty-four little hoursBrought the sun and the flowersWhere there used to be rain
My yesterday was blue, dearToday I'm a part of you, dearMy lonely nights are through, dearSince you said, "You are mine"
Oh, what a difference a day makesThere's a rainbow before meSkies aboveCan't be stormy
Oh, since that moment of blissThat thrilling kissIt's heaven when youFind romance on a menu
What a difference a day madeAnd the difference is you
What a difference a day made? The difference is you
My yesterday was blue, dearToday I'm a part of you, dearMy lonely nights are through, dearSince you said, "You are mine"
What a difference a day makesThere's a rainbow before meSkies aboveCan't be stormy

To get you and keep you in my arms evermore,
Leave all your lovers
Weeping on the faraway shore.
Out on the briny
With the moon big and shinny,
Melting your heart of stone.
Darling, I'd love to get you
On a slow boat to China,
I want a little something more
Don't want the middle or the one before
I don't desire a complicated past
I want a love that will last
Say that you love me, say I'm the one
Don't kiss and hug me and then try to run
I don't do drama, my tears don't fall fast
I want a love that will last
I don't want a just a memory
Give me forever
Don't even think about saying good-bye
'Cuz I just want one love to be enough
And remain in my heart till I die
So call me romantic, oh, I guess that's so
There's something more that you ought to know
I'll never leave you so don't even ask
I want a love that will last forever
I want a love that will last
I don't want a just a memory
Give me forever
Don't even think about saying good-bye
'Cuz I just want one love to be enough
And remain in my heart till I die
So there's just a little more that I need
I wanna share all the air that you breathe
I'm not the kinda girl to complicate the past
I want a love that will last forever
I want a love that will last always
I just want a love that will last
I want a love that will last
There's a somebody I'm longin' to see
I hope that he, turns out to be
Someone who'll watch over me
I'm a little lamb who's lost in the wood
I know I could, always be good

I'm gonna take a Sentimental Journey,
Gonna set my heart at ease.
Gonna make a Sentimental Journey,
to renew old memories.
I got my bags, I got my reservations,
Spent each dime I could afford.
Like a child in wild anticipation,
Long to hear that, "All aboard!"
Seven...that's the time we leave at seven.
I'll be waitin' up at heaven,
Countin' every mile of railroad track, that takes me back.
I never knew my heart could be so yearny.
Why did I decide to roam?
I'm gonna take that Sentimental Journey,
Sentimental Journey home.
Midnight at the oasis
Send your camel to bed
Shadows paintin' our faces
Traces of romance in our heads
Heaven's holdin' a half-moon
Shinin' just for us
Let's slip off to a sand dune, real soon
And kick up a little dust
Come on, Cactus is our friend
He'll point out the way
Come on, till the evenin' ends
Till the evenin' ends
You don't have to answer
There's no need to speak
I'll be your belly dancer, prancer
And you can be my sheik
I know your Daddy's a sultan
A nomad known to all
With fifty girls to attend him, they all send him
Jump at his beck and call
But you won't need no harem, honey
When I'm by your side
And you won't need no camel, no no
When I take you for a ride
Come on, Cactus is our friend
He'll point out the way
Come on, till the evenin' ends
Till the evenin' ends
Midnight at the oasis
Send your camel to bed
Got shadows paintin' our faces
Here I go again
I hear those trumpets blow again
All aglow again
Taking a chance on love
Here I slide again
About to take that ride again
I'm starry eyed again
Taking a chance on love
I thought the cards were a frame-up
I never would try
But now I'm taking the game up
And the ace of hearts is high
All things are mending now
I see a rainbow blending now
We'll have a happy ending now
Taking a chance on love
Here I slip again
About to take that trip again
Got my grip again
Taking a chance on love
Now I prove again
That I can make life move again
In the groove again
Taking a chance on love
I walk around with a horseshoe
In clover I lie
And brother rabbit of course you
Better kiss your foot good-bye
On the ball again
I'm riding for a fall again
I'm gonna give my all again
Taking a chance on love
I want a Sunday Kind of Love.
A love to last, past Saturday night.
I'd like to know that it's more than love at first sight.
I need a Sunday Kind of Love.
Oh yeah yeah
I need a, a love that's on the square.
Can't seem to find that somebody, someone to care.
I'm on a lonely road that leads me nowhere.
I need a Sunday kind of love.
I do my Sunday dreaming, oh yeah all my Sunday scheming.
Every minute, every hour, every day
Oh I'm hoping to discover that certain kind of lover
Who will show me the way.
My arms need someone to enfold
Keeping me warm when Monday's and Tuesday's grow cold.
Love for all my life to have and to hold.
Don't take your love away from me
Don't you leave my heart in misery
If you go then I'll be blue
'Cause breaking up his hard to do
Remember when you held me tight
And you kissed me all through the night
Think of all that we've been through
Breaking Up Is Hard To Do
They say that breaking up is hard to do
Now I know, I know that it's true
Don't say that this is the end
Instead of breaking up I wish that we were making up again
We were making up again
I beg of you
Don't say goodbye
Can't we give our love just one more try
Come on baby, let's start a new
Oh, I got a man that's always late
Any time we have a date
But I love him
Yes I love him
So I'm gonna walk up to his gate
See if I can get it straight
Cause I want him
Yeah I can't help it
I'll just ask him
Is you is or is you ain't my baby
Well, the way you're acting lately, well it makes me doubt
You were still my baby, baby
But it seems like my flame in your heart, well it's just gone out
A man is a creature
That has always been strange
Just when you're sure of one
You'll find that he's gone and made a change
Is you is or is you ain't my baby
Well, maybye my baby found somebody new
Summertime and the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin', and the cotton is high
Your Daddy's rich and your Mama is good lookin'
So, hush, little baby don't you cry
One of these mornings you're gonna rise up singin'
You're gonna spread your wings and take to the sky, take to the sky
But until that mornin' there's nothin' that can harm you
With Daddy and Mommy standin' by
Summertime
Yes, it's the time, I'm talking about summertime
And the livin', summer living, and the living is so fine
Fish are jumpin', and the cotton is high
Your Daddy's rich, he's rich, your Daddy's filthy rich
And your Mama, hot Mama, your Mama's so good lookin'
So, hush, little baby don't you cry
Summertime and the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin', and the cotton is high
Your Daddy's rich and your Mama is good lookin'
Meet me midnight, thats when things get nice.
My place midnight don't forget the ice.
Don't look for me in the light of the day,
I wait till midnight to come out and play
Meet me midnight, oh thats my paradise.
Meet me Midnight, oh baby you can be my guest.
Just make it midnight oh you fill in the rest.
Some rise at sunrise and think it's a wow.
Thats very nice if your milking a cow.
Not me, Midnight thats when it's the best.
Hit it!
Oh baby!,
Meet me at midnight, that's my time of the night, see ya, see ya at midnight.
Wine and candlelight.
Some like to rise at the crack of the dawn.
I tried it once and the dawn was a yawn.
Meet me at midnight, we'll start the new day right.
I dig when midnight rolls along,
And there's a fella that's goin' strong.
Poor Cinderella, she had it wrong.
We lived our little drama
We kissed in a field of white
And stars fell on Alabama
Last night
I can't forget the glamor
Your eyes held a tender light
And stars fell on Alabama
Last night
I never planned in my imagination
A situation so heavenly
A fairy land where no one else could enter
And in the center, you and me, dear
My heart beats just like a hammer
My arms wound around you tight
And the stars fell on Alabama
Last night
I never planned in my imagination
A situation so heavenly
A fairy land where no one else could enter
And in the center, you and me, dear
My heart beats like a hammer
Your arms wound around me tight
And stars fell on Alabama
Oh, they fell last night
Oh yeah, my arm's around you
Things tremble, tingle
Like a bubble full of rainbows
Then crack
Sizzle, sing and whisper
When the shadows lace the moonlight with black
Things with silver lining
Sparkling tinsel twinkle, shining
With waving whispy willow wings
That breath the song of Christmas time dreams
Things that glow and glisten
Eyes of children when they listen then burst
Things are touched
The whistful wish of watching someone else succeed first
Days dingle, dangle
With a million parts I'm tangled to
And satin stars that spangle
And those Cristmas bells that clangle
Our dreams
I'm dreaming of Christmas
To you merry Christmas
I'm dreaming of a merry Christmas
To you very merry Christmas
Galloping and gliding
Santa Claus his sleigh we're riding in
Bringing joyful tiding to the dreamers who are lying below
I'm talking a day of dreams
Wishes and moonbeams
Let it tremble, tingle like a bubble full of rainbows and light
When you came to wake me and to wish me merry Christmas in love
Christmas in love
I can tremble tingle like a bubble full of rainbows and light
I look in your eyes and I can see
We've loved so dangerously
You're not trusting your heart to anyone
You tell me you're gonna play it smart
We're through before we start
But I believe that we've only just begun
When it's this good, there's no saying no
I want you so, I'm ready to go
Through the fire, to the limit, to the wall
For a chance to be with you
I'd gladly risk it all
Through the fire
Through whatever, come what may
For a chance at loving you
I'd take it all the way
Right down to the wire
Even through the fire
To the limit, to the wall
For a chance to be with you
I'd gladly risk it all
Right down to the wire
When I fall in love it will be forever
Or I'll never fall in love
In a restless world like this is
Love has ended before it's begun
And too many moonlight kisses
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun
When I give my heart it will be completely
Or I'll never, never, never give my heart
And the moment I can feel
That you feel the same way too
Is when I fall in love with you
In a restless world, oh, like this is
Love has ended before it's begun
And too many moonlight kisses
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun
When I give my heart, oh, it will be completely
Or I'll never give my heart, oh
And the moment I can feel
That you feel the same way too
How strange it feels to miss you
Standing right before you
Yet good times seem so far and few
I've begun pretending
Not to see an ending
But it's all coming in the view
So, hold me now, hold me fast
Pretend it's not gonna be the last time that we love
Hold me like we'll love forever
Hold me now
I can't believe we're making our last memories
It's not enough
Hold me like we'll love forever
It seems that you've grown tired
Of the one you once desired
But I've not wanted none but you
Oh, do you think you could find a way
To love me again someday?
There's nothing else that I can do
So, hold me now, hold me fast
Pretend it's not gonna be the last time that we love
Hold me like we'll love forever
Hold me now
I can't believe we're making our last memories
It's not enough
Hold me like we'll love forever
And now it seems
All that's left to dreams for arms to hold
I'm holding on but the love's already gone
So hold me now
Oh, so hold me now, hold me fast
Pretend that it's not gonna be the last time that we love
Hold me like we'll love forever
Hold me now
I can't believe we're making our last memories
It's not enough
Hold me like we'll love forever
Just hold me now
Hold me now
Fifteen days
One day of some'thin long hours
I'm wish'n that man
would send me flowers,
anytime in the rain.
Over and over, in the night
he calls to me
long'n a kiss and cuddle me
he's always still in my,
still in my dreaming.
I don't wanna miss you
No I only wanna kiss you
Heaven says to me
If the sun don't shine
think'n about that man
that's taking all of my time
Kick'n back in the slick Cadillac
Sublime weather for romance
Summertime without my daddy
Squeezing all the sugar out that man's candy!
I don't wanna miss you
No I only wanna kiss you
Heaven says to me
If the sun don't shine
think'n about that man!
So let it rain
it's much better weather
the state I'm in
the thick knitted sweater
Warm sunny days
make my mind so foggy
let a pussycat is think'n chase'n that doggy!
I don't wanna miss you
No I only wanna kiss you
Heaven says to me
If the sun don't shine
think'n about that man
that's taking all my time
All my time!
Oh take'n all the precious
Heaven bless me
the sun don't shine
Just think'n about that man
He's take'n all my precious time
Heaven bless me
Come on, help me
I don't wanna miss you
All I wanna kiss you
Thanks for the boogie ride
I'm more the gratified
I'm really satisfied
Which only goes to prove
You don't know until you glide
Into the boogie ride
How quickly you will glide out of the world
I like riding in jalopies
Away from motorcycle copies
I like my riding just like you do
Along the Chattanooga, choo choo
So let me thank you, babe
Thank you for the boogie ride
It really was great
Music played solid senders
Can start me off on dancing benders
When I'm jilled up with me soogie
I love to ride with the boogie
So let me thank you, babe
Thank you for the boogie ride
It really was great
If you boogie ride
Oh yeah, oh yeah
If you boogie ride
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Dig this and decided to
Thank you, thank you
Thanks for the boogie ride
Thank you, thank you
Thanks for the boogie ride
Thank you, thank you
Thanks for the boogie ride
Thanks for the boogie ride
Thanks for the boogie ride
Yeah oh yeah for the boogie
You've changed
That sparkle in your eyes is gone
Your smile is just a careless yawn
You're breaking my heart, you've changed
You've changed
Your kisses now are so blase
You're bored with me in every way
I can't understand, you've changed
You've forgotten the words, I love you
Each memory that we've shared
Oh, you ignore every star above you
I can't realize you've ever cared
Oh, you've changed
You're just not the angel I once knew
No need to tell me that we're through
It's all over now, you've changed
You've forgotten the words, I love you
Each memory that we've shared
Oh, you ignore every star above you
I can't realize you've ever cared
Oh, you've changed
You're just not the angel I once knew
No need to tell me that we're through
It's all over now, you've changed
You're breaking my heart 'cause you've changed
Bill collectors gather
'Round and rather
Haunt the cottage next door
Men the grocer and butcher sent
Men who call for the rent
But with in a happy chappy
And his bride of only a year
Seem to be so cheerful
Here's an earful
Of the chatter you hear
Just to make their trouble nearly double
Something happen'd last night
To their chimney a gray bird came
Mister Stork is his name
And I'll bet two pins
A pair of twins
Just happen'd in with the bird
Still they're very gay and merry
Just at dawning I heard
Every morning
Every evening
Ain't we got fun
Not much money
Oh but honey
Ain't we got fun
The rent's unpaid dear
We haven't a bus
But smiles were made dear
For people like us
In the winter in the Summer
Don't we have fun
Times are bum and getting bummer
Still we have fun
There's nothing surer
The rich get rich and the poor get children
In the meantime
In the between time
Ain't we got fun.
Every morning
Every evening
Don't we have fun
Twins and cares dear come in pairs dear
Don't we have fun
We've only started
As mommer and pop
Are we downhearted
I'll say that we're not
Landlords mad and getting madder
Ain't we got fun
Times are so bad and getting badder
Still we have fun
There's nothing surer
The rich get rich and the poor get laid off
In the meantime
In between time
Oh, my baby don't care for shows
My baby don't care for clothes
My baby just cares for me
Oh, my baby don't care for cars and races
My baby don't care for high tone places
Oh, Liz Taylor's not his style
And even Lana Turner's smile
Oh, there's something there that he doesn't see
You see, I wonder what's wrong with baby
Oh oh, my baby just cares for me
Oh, ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh
He wants, he needs, he loves me
Oh, my baby
(Baby, baby don't care for shows)
And he don't even care for the money or clothes
Oh, my baby just cares for me
(He cares for me)
Sure does
(My baby don't care for)
Cars and races
My baby don't care for high tone places
Oh, Liz Taylor's not his style
Oh, and even Lana Turner's smile
Oh, there's something there that he doesn't see
(I wonder what's wrong)
I wonder what's so, so wrong with my baby
God, my baby just cares for
Just says his prayers for
Oh, my baby just cares for me
(My baby just cares for me)
You bet he cares
(My baby just cares for me)
Cares for me
(My baby just cares for me)
Don't know why but I'm feeling so sad
I long to try something that I've never had
I've never had no kissin', oh, what I've been missin'
Lover man, oh, where can you be?
Oh, the night is so cold and I'm so all alone
I'd give my soul just to call you my own
Got a moon above me, oh, nobody to love me
Lover man, where can you be?
I've heard it said that the thrill of romance
Can be like a heavenly dream
I go to bed with a prayer
You'll make love to me
Strange as it seems
Someday, someday we'll meet
You'll dry all my tears and you'll whisper
Sweet little things in my ear
Hugging and kissing
Oh, what I've been missing
Lover man, where can you be?
I've heard it said that the thrill of romance
Can be like a heavenly dream
I go to bed with a prayer
That you'll make love to me
Strange as it seems
Someday we'll meet
And you'll dry all my tears then you'll whisper
Sweet little things in my ear
Oh, hugging and kissing
Ohh, what I've been missing
Lover man, oh, where can you be?
Lover man, oh lover man, where can you be?
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more
(What you say?)
Oh baby, oh baby, don't you treat me so mean
You're the meanest old man that I ever seen
I guess if you say so
I have to pack my things and go, that's right
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more
(Hit the road!)
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more, no, no, what you say?
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more, no more
And don't you come back no more, no, no more
Now better listen baby, don't you treat me this way
Yeah, I'll be back on my feet someday
Don't care if you do 'cause it's understood
You ain't got no money, you just ain't no good
Well, I guess if you say so
I have to pack my things and then I'll have to go
I'll have to go, oh!
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more
(Don't you come back, hey, what you say?)
Hit the road, Jack
Don't you come back no more, no, no, no more
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more, whoa whoa
Hit the road, Jack
And don't you come back no more, no, no, no more
Don't you come back no more, no, no, no, no more
(Don't you come back)
You're on your own, Jack
And don't you come back no more, no more, no more
(You're on your own, Jack)
And don't you come back no, no more
No, no, no, no, no more, no more
(You're on your own, Jack)
Don't you be coming back
Don't you come back no more, no more, no more
(You're on your own, Jack)
Hit the road, Jack
(You're on your own, Jack)
Skylark, have you anything to say to me?
Oh, won't you tell me where my love can be?
Is there a meadow in the mist
Where someone's waiting to be kissed?
Oh skylark, have you seen a valley green with spring
Where my heart can go journeying?
Over the shadows and the rain
To a blossom covered lane
And in your lonely flight
Haven't you heard the music in the night?
Wonderful music, faint as a will o' the wisp, crazy as a loon
Sad as a gypsy serenading the moon
So skylark, I don't know if you can find these things
Oh, but my heart is riding, riding on your wings
So if you see them anywhere
Won't you lead me there? Oh
And in your lonely flight
Haven't you heard all the music in the night?
Wonderful music, faint as a will o' the wisp, crazy as a loon
Oh, sad as a gypsy serenading the moon
Oh skylark, oh, I don't know if you can find these things
But my heart is riding on your wings
So if you see them anywhere
Something 'bout that Sunday morning
And something 'bout doin' what I've done
I didn't know I was ended
But how it yet begun
Oh oh
And when I look back
I've should have known
The facts were there and they were played
Now I don't deserve anything
No nothing but the blame
Yeah
And 'bout the time oh I knew I loved you
Was 'bout the last time you felt that way
And 'bout the time I saw stars above you
Was round the last time you felt the same
And now you'll never know how much I love you
Yet I hurt you just the same
And I, I don't deserve anything
No, nothing but the blame
Yeah
And 'bout the time oh I knew I loved you
Was 'bout the last time you felt that way
And 'bout the time I saw stars above you
Was round the last time you felt the same
Oh oh oh oh
Seems you'll never know how much I love you
And yet I hurt you just the same
Oh I don't deserve anything
No nothing but the blame
I don't deserve anything
Hey little mister
Where you going to?
Cause I ain't got no plans
No one to run home to
If you've got a minute
and would like to sit down
I know a place around the corner
still open right now
So boy what's your name
what do you do?
Either you don't look familiar
or look like you used to
but are you from here
Or in from out of town?
A girl like me would sure
like to show you around
[CHORUS:]
Midnight in Austin, Texas
It'd be a shame to waste a Saturday Night
Midnight in Austin, Texas
If you're alone right now
You won't be like that all night
So boy name your poison
What do you drink?
Follow your instincts
It's far too hot to think
Don't you worry
Just pretend to be friends
I think we both know
How this night's gonna end
[CHORUS]
So don't say you love me
Don't say you care
I'm not in a habit of having an exclusive affair
Those long relationships require repair
It's a shame shame shame shame shame shame
What a difference a day makes
Twenty-four little hours
Brought the sun and the flowers
Where there used to be rain
My yesterday was blue, dear
Today I'm a part of you, dear
My lonely nights are through, dear
Since you said, "You are mine"
Oh, what a difference a day makes
There's a rainbow before me
Skies above
Can't be stormy
Oh, since that moment of bliss
That thrilling kiss
It's heaven when you
Find romance on a menu
What a difference a day made
And the difference is you
What a difference a day made?
The difference is you
My yesterday was blue, dear
Today I'm a part of you, dear
My lonely nights are through, dear
Since you said, "You are mine"
What a difference a day makes
There's a rainbow before me
Skies above
Can't be stormy
Oh, since that moment of bliss
That thrilling kiss
It's heaven when you
Find romance on your menu
What a difference a day made
