The Man in the Glass - Peter Dale Wimbrow Sr. | Inspirational Poem
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what that man has to say.
For it isn't your father, or mother, or wife
Whose judgment upon you must pass
The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the one staring back from the glass.
He's the fellow to please – never mind all the rest
For he's with you, clear to the end
And you've passed your most difficult, dangerous test
If the man in the glass is your friend.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years
And get pats on the back as you pass
But your final reward will be heartache and tears
If you've cheated the man in the glass.

The Guy In The Glass | Peter Dale Wimbrow Sr. | Powerful Motivation | Life Lessons |
This poem 'Guy In The Glass' is often erroneously titled 'The Man In The Glass' or 'The Man In The Mirror'. It is an inspiring poem that urges people to introspect. The poem reminds us that we will have to live with ourselves and that we will always know whether we have walked the path of righteousness and truth or if we have tricked and deceived others our whole lives. We can hide our true selves from other people but we will always know the truth. If we can face up to ourselves, we can be certain that we have walked in the right direction. We cannot mislead ourselves or our reflection in the mirror for we always know what we are all about.

Poem: The Guy in the Glass, by Dale Wimbrow
You're truly rich if you've been true to your conscience. And if you haven't, you're really a useless bum who is set to suffer, no matter how successful you think you might be.

The Man In The Mirror by Peter Dale Wimbrow Sr. | English | Read By Vineet KKN 'Panchhi'
Almost everyone (at some stage in life) struggles with questions like:
What am I here for?
Is this it?
I have everything I wanted, yet why do I not feel successful?
Why am I not understood?
Is this the person I am meant to be with?
We believe there are two large areas in our lives that we haven’t paid enough attention to, and that warrant being made into academic subjects as much as the sciences and humanities.
These areas, to our minds, are:
1. Relationships, and 2. Finding meaning and purpose in what we do.
Both these matters are at the root of our continued, day-to-day happiness. Our relationships are healthier when we are self-aware and know who we seek. Our work and life are more meaningful when we know, who we are and what gives us joy.
Both to a large extent, start with k...

The last few weeks have been disturbing for all of us, and much depth, understanding and wisdom will be required to go through this chaos.
We wish you much sunshine and self-knowledge, this weekend, and know that ‘This Too Shall Pass’.

Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what that man has to say.
