Forethought, Inc. was a computer software company, best known as developers of what is now Microsoft PowerPoint.

In late 1983, Rob Campbell and Taylor Pohlman founded Forethought, Inc in order to develop object oriented bit-mapped application software. In 1984, they hired Bob Gaskins, a former Ph.D. student at the University of California, Berkeley, in exchange for a large percentage of the company's stock. He and software developer Dennis Austin led the development of a program called Presenter, which they later renamed PowerPoint. Also in 1984, Forethought acquired the rights to publish a Macintosh version of a DOS-based application called Nutshell. They named the Mac version FileMaker and it soon became enormously successful.

PowerPoint 1.0 was released in 1987 for the Apple Macintosh. It ran in black and white, generating text-and-graphics pages for overhead transparencies. A new full color version of PowerPoint shipped a year later after the first color Macintosh came to market. Later in 1987, Forethought and PowerPoint were purchased by Microsoft Corporation for $14 million. In 1990 the first Windows versions were produced. Since 1990, PowerPoint has been a standard part of the Microsoft Office suite of applications except for the Basic Edition.

Peter Bishop is a fictional character and the deuteragonist of the Fox television series Fringe. He is portrayed by Joshua Jackson.

Peter Bishop was born in the year 1978, in the alternate universe, to parents Walter Bishop, also known as "Walternate", and his wife Elizabeth Bishop. In 1985, Peter acquired an extremely rare and savage genetic disease. His father, a brilliant scientist (in both universes), worked around-the-clock to save him.

Revealed in the episode "Peter", the Walter Bishop of the prime-universe watched his own son, the prime-universe version of Peter, die because of the same disease. He would frequently watch the other Peter living in the alternate universe via a "trans-dimensional window", which could allow someone to view the Other Side. Eventually, Walter formulated a compound and opened a doorway into the other universe, with the intentions of saving the other Peter from death. However, the vial containing the compound shattered on his way over to the Other Side, so he was forced to kidnap Peter, bring him over to the prime-universe, cure him, and then return him. But, after curing Peter on our side, he and his wife could not find themselves able to return him, so they raised him as their own.

Dianna Booher (born January 13, 1948) is an American author, consultant, and keynote speaker on the topic of business communication.

Booher is the chief executive of Booher Consultants, Dallas, Texas-based consultancy that gives companies advice on communication and productivity.

Booher earned a Master of Arts degree in English literature from the University of Houston.

Booher has written a number of books on business topics. The LA Times found The New Secretary offered a few useful tips but nothing new.. Reviewing Your Signature Work, Publisher's Weekly criticised its use of a "hackneyed analogy" between life and basketball, but said it offers "good advice".Fort Worth Star-Telegram called E-Writing "user-friendly" in a favorable review.
