I had a decent experience with Air Canada.  The $25 check in fee inspires lots of people to take their luggage on the plane and then they make you check in your luggage for free.  Hmmmm.  I like that they have power ports for your electronica and the cool map to see where the hell you are at any given point.  I got a pizza and that was lousy.  The general rule of thumb "Bring your own food" still applies.  Oh and super duper top tip, you can sneak in your mini bottles of booze...

We were getting married at The London Hotel down the street and had our rehearsal dinner here on August 15. My husband was the one who was in contact with them. We agreed upon a set menu for our 25 guests to choose from and communication leading up to the event was very good.

We decided to dine in their lovely patio area and I admit that food was good and our guests were satisfied. I am knocking off stars however for the following reasons.

1. They had the printed menus that had the set menu we chose however there was NOTHING else written on them except for the menu. 1. They had the printed menus that had the set menu we chose however there was NOTHING else written on them except for the menu. Who does that??? Since it's our rehearsal dinner we expected something to be printed at the top of the menu or at the bottom...maybe something like Congratulations Joann and Derek or Joann and Derek's Rehearsal dinner. They had to print these menus just for our occasion anyways so why not do what every other restaurant would and make it a little bit more personal. This put me off instantly.

2. The coordinator Tanya that my husband has been working with came out to greet him to ask how things are going. The entire time, she didn't even look at me or acknowledge my presence. This is a REHEARSAL dinner..so there is obviously a bride. I was going to tell her thank you for helping us organize everything but didn't even get a chance to because after talking to my husband she immediately left and never returned. I get that my husband has been the one in contact over email but this was our event that we were hosting and paying for together..so yeah it would have been nice to get a "oh hello, you must be the bride nice to meet you...hope everything is going well and let me know if you need anything".
