As if dealing with a brutal loss to the Cowboys Sunday night wasn’t enough, the Giants had to spend Monday answering Jerry Jones’ claims that they were faking injuries to get a breather.
“It’s absolutely not true,” Tom Coughlin said.

That’s hardly what the Cowboys’ owner suggested late Sunday. After his Cowboys had sweated out their first-ever win over the Giants at AT&T Stadium, Jones implied the Giants had tried to fake injuries to slow down the Cowboy no-huddle offense in the second quarter and that it was “so obvious it was funny.”
On consecutive plays, linebacker Dan Connor and defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins went down with injuries. Connor was diagnosed with a “burner” and never returned. Jenkins, however, went to the sideline and returned just plays later. The Giants never announced he’d suffered an injury.

“Both of those players were injured,” Coughlin insisted. “Connor never returned to the game. And Cullen was in a position where he needed to regroup. So that wasn’t orchestrated at all.”
Never mind that the entire sequence provided the Giants perfect time to regroup and Justin Tuck even took off his helmet on each play and dropped to one knee. Still, Antrel Rolle agreed with his coach.

“Personally speaking, if anyone took note of the game, we had two guys who went down,” Rolle said. “Cullen Jenkins went down, I’m not sure what his injury was, and Dan Connor went down and he never returned to the game. I don’t know what kind of faking (Jones) saw, but if guys go down and they never return to the game, obviously he’s not faking.”
Rolle added that Jones should “be satisfied with the win.

“Because a game like that will never happen to us again,” Rolle said brashly. “Even with six turnovers, they were still scratching their heads at the end of the game, hoping/wishing for a play they did get at the end of the game. I can care less what Jerry has to say. When we play those guys again, it will be a little different outcome.
PRINCE ‘BETTER’
Coughlin indicated that CB Prince Amukamara (concussion) was “doing better” on Monday. The cornerback left Sunday’s game after colliding with safety Ryan Mundy. It’s unsure if he will be able to play Sunday vs. Denver. Aaron Ross took over for Amukamara at corner Sunday night ... The Giants cut DE Adewale Ojomo, a move that could clear the way for them to sign a running back on Tuesday.
