Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) is a Linux feature that provides the mechanism for supporting access control security policies, including United States Department of Defense-style mandatory access controls, through the use of Linux Security Modules (LSM) in the Linux kernel. It is not a Linux distribution, but rather a set of Kernel modifications and user-space tools that can be added to various Linux distributions. Its architecture strives to separate enforcement of security decisions from the security policy itself and streamlines the volume of software charged with security policy enforcement . The key concepts underlying SELinux can be traced to several earlier projects by the United States National Security Agency.

It has been integrated into the mainline Linux kernel since version 2.6.

The United States National Security Agency (NSA), the original primary developer of SELinux, released the first version to the open source development community under the GNU GPL on December 22, 2000. The software merged into the mainline Linux kernel 2.6.0-test3, released on 8 August 2003. Other significant contributors include Network Associates, Secure Computing Corporation, Trusted Computer Solutions, and Tresys Technology. Experimental ports of the FLASK/TE implementation have been made available via the TrustedBSD Project for the FreeBSD and Darwin operating systems.

Dan Walsh (born 1960, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a painter based in New York.

He studied at the Philadelphia College of Art in Pennsylvania and Hunter College in New York City.

A veteran of nearly thirty solo exhibitions Walsh’s work has been shown internationally at galleries and museums including PS1 Contemporary Art Center [1], Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain [2] in Geneva, the Indianapolis Museum of Art [3], and the Royal Academy [4] in London. He is represented by Paula Cooper [5] in New York and Paolo Curti [6] in Milan.

Dan Walsh’s large-scale paintings draw from the tradition of Minimalism. Rendered by hand, Walsh’s geometric compositions waiver with faint imperfection. Seemingly straight edges subtly bow and warp with undulating movement, creating tessellated fields of disorientation. Reminiscent of Ad Reinhardt’s subliminal plaids or Sol LeWitt’s optical illusions, Walsh uses the multiplicity of ordered form to draft algorithmic blueprints. Through repetition, Walsh’s work suggests endless expansion, fluctuating between the intimate and infinite. Walsh uses perspectival deception to make his flat surfaces appear to advance and recede simultaneously, provoking alternating sensations of gravity and weightlessness.

The Basics ( /ˈbæzɪtʃ/ BAZZ-ich) are a three-piece band from Melbourne, Australia, formed by Wally De Backer and Kris Schroeder in 2002. Their style has been described as anything from 'indie-pop' to 'rock'n'roll' to 'pop-rock', though their records show they span a wide range of genres, including reggae, ska, country, and electro-pop. They are "recognised as one of Australia's hardest-working bands".

With close to 1000 shows in their ten-year career, their live performances are well-known for their sense of humour and energy.

The Basics were formed after Kris met Wally at a party in Melbourne. The event was to see off the young aspiring producer, who was about to depart for Los Angeles, and together with a number of musician friends, the two jammed on some blues-rock standards. Later that night, they bonded over a mutual love of The Beatles, 70s and 80s cartoon theme songs and old Sierra adventure games.

Initially, they played around Melbourne as an acoustic guitar/drums combo, starting at The Opposition in Frankston and the House of Fools in Footscray, where in late 2002 they met Michael Hubbard and later invited him to join them on electric guitar. Though lacking any real experience with the instrument, Kris willingly purchased his first bass guitar, and the trio was born. During this time, the group start performing songs with more complicated three-part harmony.

Thomas Wright Moir Cameron, OC FRSC (29 April 1894 – 1 January 1980) was a Canadian veterinarian and parasitologist.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he received a Bachelor of Science in veterinary science, a Master of Arts in parasitology, a Ph.D. in parasitology, and a Doctor of Science in zoology from the University of Glasgow and University of Edinburgh. During World War I, he served with the Highland Light Infantry and as a captain in the Royal Flying Corps. In 1932, he was appointed the founding director of the Institute of Parasitology at Macdonald College, McGill University.

He served as president of the Royal Society of Canada (1957–1958), Canadian Society of Microbiologists (1960), Canadian Society of Zoologists (1961–1962), and the World Federation of Parasitologists (1964–1970).

He is the author of The Parasites of Man in Temperate Climates (University of Toronto Press, 1946), The Parasites of Domestic Animals: A Manual for Veterinary Students and Surgeons (Lippincott, 1951), and Parasites and parasitism (Methuen, 1956).
