    $5 (at the door, no one will be turned away)
    Escape the winter chills and warm up with other DeFrank youth on the dance floor. There will be snacks and a cool winter mix. Prizes for Ice Prince and Princess
    This event is exclusively for youth ages 13-20 and a school or California state ID is required to enter. Semi-formal attire is optional.

    TO MOST OF THE CULTURES ON THE EARTH IT IS RECOGNIZED, IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE, AS THE WINTER SOLSTICE BUT OUR ANCESTORS SAW AT THIS TIME AFTER THE LONGEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR THE BIRTH OF THE SUN AS A HUMMINGBIRD, SMALL AND TENDER YET STRONG AND DETERMINED...THE SUN WAS BORN TO BEGIN HIS PATH TOWARDS THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE, WHERE THE SUN WILL BE BORN AS AN EAGLE ON THE LONGEST DAY OF THE YEAR, THE SUMMER SOLSTICE.

    JUST AS THE OBSERVATION OF VENUS IS FAMILIAR BY MOST CULTURES, YET THEIR USE OF ITS CYLES AND PATTERN IN THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF HUMAN CONDUCT IS NOT EVIDENT IN WHAT REMAINS OF THOSE AFROASIAEUROPEAN CULTURES, THERE IS NO TRACE THAT MIGHT INDICATE THAT THEY HAD THE SAME SYSTEM OF MEASURING TIME AND SPACE.
