I spend several days reading and thinking about Alain Sokal and Jean Bricmont's ideas, the hoax paper, on postmodernism, postmodern thought and fashionable nonsense. The authors provide very nice scientific rebuttals to the many criticisms they received.
I walk you through the hoax paper as Alain Sokal planned it, and we discuss the way academia and the intellectual world reacted. We also discuss some ways that science is abused to pass nonsensical ideas and make them look more polished. What the authors only say in half words, is that a lot of their critics are just attacking them, not

I walk you through the hoax paper as Alain Sokal planned it, and we discuss the way academia and the intellectual world reacted. We also discuss some ways that science is abused to pass nonsensical ideas and make them look more polished. What the authors only say in half words, is that a lot of their critics are just attacking them, not
