Thought I saw you in The Battleship
but it was only a look a like
She was nothing but a vision trick
Under the warning light
She was close, close enough to be your ghost
But my chances turned to toast
When i asked her if i could call her your name
I thought i saw you in The Rusty Hook
Huddled up in wicker chair
I wandered over for a closer look
And kissed whoever was sitting there
She was close, and she held me very tightly
Till i asked awfully politely, please
Can i call you her name
And i elongated my lift home,
Yeah, i let him go the long way round
I smelt your scent on the seat belt
And kept my short cuts to myself
I thought I saw you in The Parrot's Beak
Messing with the smoke alarm
It was too loud for me to hear her speak
And she had a broken arm
It was close, so close that the walls were wet
And she wrote it out in Letraset
No you can't call me her name
Tell me where's your hiding place
I'm worried i'll forget your face
And i've asked everyone
And i'm beginning to think i imagined you all along
I elongated my lift home
Yeah, i let him go the long way round
I smelt your scent on the seat belt
And kept my short cuts to myself
I saw your sister in The Cornerstone
On the phone to the middle man
When i saw that she was on her own
I thought she might understand
She was close, well you couldn't get much closer
She said i'm really not supposed to but yes,
The changing world was on it’s way
And now we know it’s gone today
Suddenly it’s thunder pure
Overriding our industrial allure
‘Cause the vision that we had is burning great holes in the sky
The angels came and shook their heads and cried
What have they done to paradise?
One world revolving ‘round the sun
One choice affecting everyone
One Word fashioned into stone
One Voice singing out alone
Be my harbour and my home
Be my strength my Cornerstone
I remember dreaming as a boy
Of living in the milk and honey land of joy
The boy he soon became a man
The milk and honey dream became a no man’s land
And the vision that we had keeps burning great holes in the sky
The angels came and shook their heads and cried
What have they done to paradise?
One world revolving ‘round the sun
One choice affecting everyone
One Word fashioned into stone
One Voice singing out alone
Be my harbour and my home
Be my strength my Cornerstone
Please don’t leave me here alone
Hah, hah, hah, hah, hah
1, 2 ya'll, Ah-1,2 ya'll, ah-check it, ah-check it, 1,
2 ya'll
It goes microphone check 1, 2 ya'll, it's the
cornerstone, ya'll
It's the cornerstone.
From the gutter to the throne, corner to the stone
Comaradary is earned, cultivated and homegrown
Don't really own a damn thing except for my labor, and
maybe a couple of thousand pages of my rhymes
And your brain's just a cage with a mind locked inside
it unless knowledge itself gives proper perspective
To see how the politicians keep the dollars protected,
my namesake is not confined to scholarly methods
To reach the mass, never preached the way they teach in
class, sleep-walkin' half-dead spirits leaving fast
If you never had your ass beat, brah, you can't speak
about non-violent protests and other such mythology
Watch how the quantity leads into quality deep beyond
the reaches of your Babylon economy
I speak solemnly; I seek equality, my people celebrate
life despite poverty
Fuck the false prophecy, promising we'll all be free,
as long as we fall in line with the flawed philosophy
And mystery, God's eternal afterlife in Heaven, while
living in Hell, where the militant dwell
Now the ranks start to swell in the hoods and jail
cells, lock down the campus cause it's right to rebel
No uprising fails, each one's a step forward toward the
victory up at the end of the trail
We crack jokes while singing the blues, and rock like
the stone that the builder refused
To all area crew, who carry the world on their
shoulders, on some atlas shit, this one's for you
206, rock rock on, The proletariat, rock rock on,
Beacon Hill, rock rock on
Now the hustle on the corner set the struggle in stone
My compatriots and comrades engaging in combat, trying
to stay sane up in this land gone mad
Give me two bucks and take a puff and pass my bong
back, nearly 3 years and they're still up in Baghdad?
Battle-raps, 85% talkin' this-and-that, quit that,
insecure petty little man
Get a manicure and tan, B, amateurish candy raps, it's
hilarious, I'm laughing till I can't breath
Can it be that it was never simpler than now, consumers
waitin' for a magazine to set the style
The critical instead begin to organize quietly,
underneath the sugarcoated surface of society
My purpose as of now is serve the people to the
fullest, knowing that my name is somewhere written on a
bullet
The beats that I inherited, and rhymes in my
chromosomes, passed to my seed, I call him my
cornerstone
We crack jokes while singing the blues, and rock like
the stone that the builder refused
To all area crew, who carry the world on their
shoulders, on some atlas shit, this one's for you
New people ya'll, rock rock on, real changed men, rock
rock on, the next generation, rock rock on
Now the hustle on the corner set the struggle in stone
We crack jokes while singing the blues, and rock like
the stone that the builder refused
To all area crew, who carry the world on their
shoulders, on some atlas shit, this one's for you
Central District, rock rock on, Hue District, rock rock
on, International District, rock rock on
All other ground is sinking sand
A dying maze of desert land
Where darkness rules the heart of man
Till the sun shines light on him
Lord of all, show You're strong
On our knees we fall
Be a Cornerstone, be a Cornerstone
Be the Rock higher than I
Be my Fortress Wall
Be a Foundation for all
My Cornerstone
The building swaying in the wind
The towers crumble down again
This certainly will be the end
If they're not built on Him
Lord of all, show you're strong
On our knees we fall
Be a Cornerstone, be a Cornerstone
Be the Rock higher than I
Be my Fortress Wall
Be a Foundation for all
My Cornerstone
You, You are the Builder of my heart
You held me together from the start
Be a Cornerstone, be a Cornerstone
Be the Rock higher than I
Be my Fortress Wall
Be a Foundation for all
My Cornerstone
Be a Cornerstone, be a Cornerstone
Be the Rock higher than I
Be my Fortress Wall
Be a Foundation for all
One world, caught up in the middle
How do you know who to belive
One truth, it must be out there somewhere
Can we find it?
Breakdown in communication
Information overload
We’re lost, forever seeking answers
What’s the question?
Do you believe in Heaven?
Do you believe in Hell?
If you open your eyes
Then you’ll become a 21st century man
That’s what I am
Outside, messiahs by the dozen
Showing us the light and the way
Control, for keeping down the masses
Dn’t believe it
The walls of freedom start to crumble
All they do is lie to your face
The world is screaming out as one
“Not in my name”
Still believe in Heaven?
Still believe in Hell?
Open your eyes
Then you’ll become a 21st century man
Do you believe in Heaven?
Do you believe in Hell?
If you open your eyes
Then you’ll become a 21st century man
That’s what I am
Living, living
My sweet child lay your head down
Dream the dreams that delight you
You're safe now and forever
Dont let reality blind you
My sweet child taste the starlight
Reach your hands up to heaven
Share you´r dreams with the moonlight
Cherish all you've been giving
Theres nothing to fear soon the day will appear
Theres nothing to say just as long as you pray
It's in the eyes of the candyman
He owns the dark
It's in the eyes of the candyman
He owns the dark
May the night never find you
With a heart full of sorrow
You can close your tired eyes
Dream your dreams of tomorrow
Theres nothing to fear soon the day will appear
Here comes the daylight
Theres nothing to say just as long as you pray
Dont be afraid
It's in the eyes of the candyman
He owns the dark
It's in the eyes of the candyman
He owns the dark
We're living in a cruel world, cruel world
Living in a cruel world, cruel world
Living in a cold dark space were we hide our face
We're living in a cruel world, cruel world
Living in a cruel world, cruel world
Dont be afraid
It's in the eyes of the candyman
He owns the dark
It's in the eyes of the candyman
He owns the dark
Where were you? When we sailed in search of truth
Where were you? When we failed to find the proof
Now I know... I can see clearer now I am blind
Where were you? When the child became a man
Where were you? I just need to understand
Where were you? I need shelter from the pain
Where were you? I've been abandoned once again
I can't tell if you are laughing but you don't want to
hear me cry
I climbed this mountain on my own
So lost so cold and so alone
No guiding light to show the way
There's no one there I can see clearer now I'm blind
Who will hear? As I cry into the night
Who will care? As I fight the lonely fight
In my fear, there's a darkness in my soul
Who will care? If we feel the cold winds blow
I can't tell if you are listening
I don't know if you are there
I climbed this mountain on my own
So lost so cold and so alone
No guiding light to show the way
There's no one there I can see clearer now I'm blind
I don't know if you are listening
Reach out my hand to touch your face
I climbed this mountain on my own
So lost so cold and so alone
No guiding light to show the way
There's no one there I can see clearer now I'm blind
Understanding, trying to make sense of it all
I throw my hand in, I wasn’t prepared for the fall
Sleep in despair with the cruel words we have strewn
Sleep in the knowledge you bring about my ruin
From passion to warfare my time is now at hand
Lost in the madness of what was once our love
Can you remember the night when we crossed on the stairs
In that moment the answer to all of my prayers
How well you fooled me with whispers in the night
So careless I fell for this love that wasn’t right
From passion to warfare my time is now at hand
I’m so lost in the madness of what was once our love
It was only love
It was only love
But I can still feel the pain all night
And I cry alone
From passion to warfare my time is now at hand
I’m lost in the madness of what was once our love
Can't stop
I'm just a spoke on a wheel
High on speed, I'm cutting through steel
So close
But yet so far and unreal
I'll analyze the way that I feel
I'll hunger for my needs
I'll be losing all my deeds
I'll be acting like a freak
But I'll race to
the top of the world
And climb the highest stairs
Breathing cold air
On top of the world
Catch me if you dare
You'll have a fair share
One shot
Of dust won't break my machine
I'm fed with clean gasoline
Too fast
To live too fast to be seen
Give me your best shot
Let it run deep
Swimming in the thick mud
You still have time while the lion is asleep
I'll stick to the logic
We came for
I'll pray and believe
Show me your weak spot
Would you believe
All of them big shots
They have snow on their minds and talking
Incomplete
I see them gamble
Shuffling for their needs
It is hard to handle
When they open the door to a monster
From a dream
I'll stick to the logic
We came for
I'll pray and believe
We'll cut straight to the bone
And face the barrel/battle
And we'll hope to see white flags
Down the line
Soaked in cold sweat
Losing all in one
Closer to their last step
Before they hide and bring in Mr. Bond
Give me a reason
All is said and done
End of their season
There's a silence you hear when your poor heart stops beating
I remember that sound from the days when I was young
I struggled for peace now I'm too tired to wander
This land that was ours, now I can see that it's gone
I called this land my home.
Why did you come here? Why do you slay?
With love you could have all the answers
We Lost one thousand years
Lived through the Fire and Rain
Lived through the Fear and Shame
Lived through the Hurt and Pain
Now we're lost forever in this Wounded Land
There's a Song from the Easy that you will remember
Write the words down and follow the Eastern Star
You're the Bringer of Death, Destroyer of Worlds
A mother lies weeping for all that she's lost in this world
If I lived one Thousand years
Lost for a thousand years
Lost in the Valley of Tears
Lost but we learn to survive
One day we'll reclaim and heal this Wounded Land
Wounded Land
Wounded Land
Wounded Land
Lost for a thousand years
Lost in the Valley of Tears
Lost but we learn to survive
Mother Mary walk beside me to the waters edge
A kiss has brought my world down
Pray the living God won’t find us, drinking with his
friend
All we need we’ll find here
My world has come undone, I’ve done my best
My world’s a crazy Sunday, you’ll find there’s nothing
left
When the hammer falls
When the hammer falls
When the hammer falls
Judas screams and darkness turns the day into night
See your dream has ended much too soon
My world has come undone, did I pass the test
My world’s a crazy Sunday, there’ll be nothing left
When the hammer falls
When the hammer falls
When the hammer falls
I saw the horizon, the shame and the pitiful greed
Where the power corrupts all we see
You sent me a light for the world, now it’s all going
wrong
And everyone looks to the East to see the Son
Don’t cry for holiness, you can’t bare the pain
My world has come undone, there will be nothing left
When the hammer falls
When the hammer falls
When the hammer falls
When the hammer falls
If you could see behind the mask
Taste a little spirit from the past
And see what others failed to see
Then you could come and share your dreams with me
When time plays in the back of our minds
We’re so blind to all of the good things we’ll find
Welcome to now and forever
Come inside, you’re welcome in here
Welcome to now and forever
Close the door, there is nothing to fear in here
Don’t betray the things you love
They put you down but you can rise above
The meaning of the words are clear
My pretty ones, come closer so you hear
When time play in the back of our minds
We’re so blind to all of the good things we’ll find
Welcome to now and forever
Come inside, yes you’re welcome in here
Welcome to now and forever
Close the door, you have nothing to fear from me
Don’t let your dreams be scattered in the dust
Where all hope is gone
And memories are lying there like rust
If the devil takes your hand just scream
Welcome to now and forever
Come inside, yes you’re welcome in here
Welcome to now and forever
Close the door, there is nothing to fear in here
Let the flood surround me
My skin is dry as fire
All this mud within me
Makes me feel like a soul survivor
And if the light will guide me
To a place just a little bit higher
I'll pray my faith won't leave me
As I walk on this endless wire
It seems so real
And it feels
Like I'm fading slowly
Give me something to believe in
All my tools have a strange way of leaving
I feel my veins are bleeding
Tell me why time keeps slipping
It's in the air that I'm breathing
It's in this holy ball of mud, I'm kicking
I'm getting tired of that feeling
I'll save my prayer for the living
I walked on the water
And I could feel the sand beneath me
I need some time to - understand
And came close to - who I am
Hey you are you listening
It ain't much I'll beg and ask for
Through the years I've been digging
But I guess you've seen it all before
Now my ship is sinking
Every breath brings me closer to the wall
It's in the cards I've been givin'
Here we sit at the edge of the world,
It's a long way to fall from here.
If your Faith can move mountains then why,
Are you scared to come here to me.
And we all know the prayers that the innocents cry
When we ask for the truth, they just offer us lies
In the daylight we pray that the night will not come
When they offer the feast,
To the Unchosen One.
At the feast let us all gather round, raise a glass to
These powers unknown.
Fallen from grace, we've fallen so far,
We can't heal the wounds, we can't heal the scars
And we hide from the sin as our world comes undone
And we bite at the heels of the priviledged
And we look to the past as we bury our dead
And we offer our lives,
To the Unchosen One.
Now we sit at the edge of the world,
It's a long way to fall from here...
And we all know the prayers that the innocents cry
When we ask for the truth, they just offer us lies
In the daylight we pray that the night will not come
When they offer the feast,
To the Unchosen One.
Offer the feast to the Unchosen One.
To the Unchosen One.
Hide from the sun
I saw an angel, who lost her wings today
A delicate whisper, a symphony for her aching beauty
Naked and frightened, I watch her crawl away
She may have touched the face of god and found she cold not stay
So bitter and twisted a purely human stain
A gentle hand to brush away the tears of crushed frustrations
Oh no, they build you up just to watch you stumble
Oh Destiny
'Cause Some People Fly
Fly high on wings of Fortune
Don't you cry, a change is in the wind
You fly, fly high on wings of fortune
Don't deny, a change is gonna come
You fly
You tasted the poison, from the cup of life
Not all you wanted, not all the things you hoped for
So live with the madness, live without the fear
Superstition is for those who can't control their own fate
Oh no, they build you up just to watch you crumble
Oh Destiny
'Cause Some People Fly
Fly high on wings of Fortune
Don't you cry, a change is in the wind
You fly, fly high on wings of fortune
Don't deny, a change is gonna come
You fly
You say love will last forever
Just be careful what you wish for, cause I hear that
dreams come true
We can ask for our deliverance, then it’s gone
You must find something to live for, maybe sometimes
that brings pain
But you have to find the strength to carry on
Some they have dreams and others they have nightmares
Some live in hope, some hide their fears
Well I shone bright for a moment, I was brighter than
the Sun
But when the thunder roared I knew I had to run
So I sit alone in darkness, knowing one day I will rise
To crack the sky, be holy in your eyes
Some they have dreams and others they have nightmares
Some live in hope, some hide their fears
Some they have dreams and others they have nightmares
Some follow stars to light the way
Just be careful what you wish for life’s a small and
empty room
If you stroll through blind, you’ll find it ends too
soon
When I lost my faith in magic then I found my strength
in you
It was a light so bright, it cracked the night and I
knew what I had to do
Some they have dreams and others they have nightmares
Some live in hope, some hide their fears
Some they have dreams and others they have nightmares
Some follow stars to light the way
No more to sit in darkness, no more to cry alone
I found a star to light my way, a star to guide me home
Some they have dreams and others they have nightmares
Some live in hope, some hide their fears
Some they have dreams and others they have nightmares
Some follow stars to light the way
Some they have dreams while others they have nightmares
No regrets as I look back, the final curtain call
Spotlighs fading on the ceiling
Time has caught me now, laughing in the wings
No choir, no angels sing
I'm singing Alone one time tell me can you hear me?
There is nothing on the stage anyway
Raise a glass and remember, everything is fine
Now my time is finally over
Shed no tears for me, just hold me for a while
I found peace here in you arms
Singing Alone one time tell me can you hear me?
There's a shaking of the spirit
There's a stranger in the town
And the words that he has spoken
Said to keep the people down
I tried so hard to reason
But I guess it was in vain
And I know I'll never see your likes again.
I was wandering through my life time
I was lost out in the dark
I've been begging for redemption
And I need it kinda fast
I been crying for my angels
But they won't hear my prayers
Guess I'll never ever see your like again
I walk alone in this world I miss the best days of my life
When we sailed on stormy waters they were the best days of my life
I walk alone in this world and my tears fall down like rain
Guess I never, ever see your likes again
I was struck down by an angel
She left me lying here
I've been crying in my whisky
I've been drowning in my beer
Even JT could not save me
I was sinking hard and fast
But I stood up and blasted out the past
I walk alone in this world I miss the best days of my life
When we sailed on stormy waters they were the best days of my life
I walk alone in this world and my tears fall down like rain
Lacerate me, so much the pain is so real
Fornicate me, so you can learn how to feel
I liberate you, from this miserable world
Now you never gonna see or know what might have been
Medication, you like the feel of the rush
The indication, is that you'll jump with the push
And fon't you hate it, when they ask you what's wrong
cause they'll never understand you're much too deep for that
You got the style but not the grace
You got the look you ain't got the face
Resurrect some sympathy
What's been good for you ain't right for me
And no amount of reason will ever make you see it
Resurrect some sympathy
What's been right for you ain't good for me
And no amount of screaming will ever be a reason to live
Congratulations, on your degenerate soul
Communication, I hear you scream from your hole
Illumination, you had another bright thought
It's just another stupid battle that just must be fought
You got the urge but not the edge
You got the heart you ain't got the head
Resurrect some sympathy
What's been good for you ain't right for me
And no amount of reason will ever make you see it
Resurrect some sympathy
What's been right for you ain't good for me
So you cut me wide open
What do you see in a mind filled and frozen
I'm shot down broken
If you find what you need tell me which side
Was chosen
But now it's too late
You said you cared
When it gets to you
I'm out of here
I stay awake all night
With a second sight
I never had class you told me
Too much left and right
Too much black and white
I'm your colored trash you told me
How does it feel to reload your gun
But a wound won't stop healing
You forget, you forgive I saw the cards
You were dealing
They make me feel worth while living
There sure ain't no cure are the words
All is lost and nothing won
Love is gone and the suffering has just begun
In between what might have been
Love was an illusion when it drew me in
What was real in the heat of the night
Leaves me cold in the first light of morning
To my shame I told another lie
All that’s left is the haunting
And the rain falls like mist on the chances I missed
It was on a night like this, when she sold me my first
kiss
When she sold me my first kiss
Once upon our yesterdays
As she spoke fire danced in her eyes
Burned my hope with the heat of this nightmare
When we walked, she told of our time
Nothing left but the wanting
Still the rain falls like mist, on the lover I’ve
kissed
It was on a night like this, when she sold me my first
kiss
When she sold me my first kiss
Once upon our yesterdays
Yesterdays
Once upon our yesterdays
Yesterdays
Once upon our yesterdays
It was on a night like this, close your eyes and dream
And the rain falls like mist, on the chances we missed
It was on a night like this, when you sold me my first
kiss
Once upon our yesterdays
Yesterdays
Once upon our yesterdays
Once upon our yesterdays
Never forever, only in your dreams
Never forever, I remember the kiss, I remember a night
like this
Shout it Out
Under neon skies the hot night city streets
You are the master of your own fate
All that you have heard, this place where
Dreams come true
Is not so very far from you
You are never alone here
Spotlight flashes bright and blinds you
Where you stand
Lighting up this sea of hands
Screaming voices rise and slowly die away
Burned in the memory of the day
You can soak up the nightlife at the
Lexington Queen
Shout it out
Midnight in Tokyo
Speeding faster than a bullet from a gun
Through the mountains we will run
Kiss Osaka then it's on to old Kyoto
Where you know we're gonna shine
I can never belong here but I don't want
To go home
Shout it out
In the first light of day when my love slipped away
Saw the end of my faith in this world
And the Sun and the Moon shone so bright on this life
What was good is now gone for all time
There is not a lot of feeling in a man without a reason
I am just a man without a soul
All that’s left is memory and a whole lot of grieving
I am just a man who lost it all
When I look back I smile but it might take me a while
To forgive but you are not forgotten
How can I carry on? I can still hear your song
Tastes so sweet in this bitterness of tears
There is not a lot of feeling in a man without a reason
I am just a man who’s lost his soul
All that left is memory and a whole lot of grieving
I am just a man who lost it all
There is not a lot of feeling in a man without a reason
I am just a man who’s lost his soul
All that left is memory and a whole lot of grieving
I am just a man who lost it all
I am just a man who lost it all
Am I losing control
I'm leaving the tribe you gave me
I've been digging a hole
Waiting for a saint to save me
Came so close to my soul
I have to confess
What you see is what you get
I'll keep an eye on the Jungle
The tiger and the lamb
Low life will rule and command
It's the law of the Jungle
Words we'll understand
Written all over the land
Nothing's left to be said
Illusions run deep inside me
It's all trapped in my head
Like and angel who flies to guide me
And it'll make me forget
I'm going down
I think I'm drifting around
But who knows what's wrong, what's right
If there's a meaning to life
I feel like a stranger today
The world keeps spinning around
Something is moving in the clay
As I try to get my feet back
On the ground
But just like in sand
In which nothing will grow
I'm raw as a naked scarecrow
One seed in my hand
Beats to survive
And the best of me comes out alive
I'm alive
I followed a clue miles away
Directions still unknown
I'm circling like this everyday
And scared by the sound of rattling stones
When all colours turn into grey
And the clouds are hanging low
I will hide all my seeds in the clay
Longing for a rainy day to show
Wind me up lock me up
I've been through changes
I've learned to survive
There was a time when I knew we'd be lonely,
One last kiss then we had to move away
We had our chance and we burned in the starlight
Then our song was carried on the wind
I can still remember I can still see your face from before
Always remember some love leads to the
House of Nevermore
Sweet angel of the street come dance with me
With your eyes as black as a moonless night
Sweet angel of the street come dance with me
You carried my cross and I let you down
There was a time when I called you my lover
That time has passed I won't see you anymore
I keep the pain of the night far behind me
Another road to the House of Nevermore
I still remember the curse and the sting of your kiss
Don't cry for mercy you know that's one thing
I'll never give
Sweet angel of deceit come dance with me
With your heaart as black as a moonless night
Sweet angel of deceit come dance with me
Nail me to your cross and let me cry
Always remember some love leads to the
House of Nevermore
If I take the road to the House of Nevermore
Who will be waiting to open up the door
I fall asleep in the House of Nevermore
Here in the silence of this empty room
Flickering light is fading much too soon
Watching the candles burn
In this hour of doom
In these hours you sleep
Here in the coldness of my empty bed
Thinking of all the lies and words we said
Watching life fade too soon
In this hour of my doom
In this cold empty room
Swear that we will meet again
In the hour of Doom
Swear that we will meet again
In the hour of Doom
Here in the black hole of my emptiness
Knowing he watches as you get undressed
Knowing he’s touching you
Brings the hour of my doom
To my cold empty room
Swear that we will meet again
In the hour of Doom
Swear that we will meet again
In the hour of Doom
Feel his fingers crawl across your skin tonight
I can’t wait until the dawn
Soon it will be over, soon it will be done
I’ll spend eternity alone
Alone
Alone
In this cold empty room
Swear that we will meet again
In the hour of Doom
Swear that we will meet again
In the hour of Doom
Swear that we will meet again
In the hour of Doom
Swear that we will meet again
I cannot run I cannot hide
Still have my ticket for the ride
I'm waiting, playing - betraying
I've had my trips, my ups and downs
And mess around in the underground
I'm digging, sinking ain't winning
There's no way in
And I can't find my way out
You woke me up, you shot the door
You'll never stop for wanting more
You're lying, cheating - mistreating
My time has come without a care
What will be waiting for me there
Is it love or hate you'll give or take
There's no way in
And I can't find my way out
I think I'm losing this round
Losing this
Cuz when a child becomes a man
It's just a man without a plan
Tell me who should I blame
I'm afraid to be part of this game
You had me lock inside these walls
They'll never break they'll never fall
I'm hitting, splitting, ain't forgiving
I heard your whisper through the door
Be a man - it's the law
I'm trying, crying - denying
There's no way in
There's no way out
I can't resist I'm spellbound
I hear your voice
Why do your speak with no sound
Cuz when a child becomes a man
It's just another man without a plan
And a circling grain of sand
When all of your thorns
Are ripped into pieces
You feel like a newborn Jesus
Give your thoughts no tongue
Let it crawl beneath your skin
In your head, in your veins
Give it one more wish
For things you miss
So deep and hollow
In a single kiss
A snow white bliss
You seek and follow
And it leaves you wanting more
You're forcing a flow
Across the ocean
Surrounded by deep emotions
You feel a burning flame
If you're blinded by light
As the night comes crawlin'
Feels like a flood in your veins
Thought I saw my Future Rising and then
I watched your eyes turned cold
I lost my faith in magic and through this
World I walk alone
There's a trick of the light, sweet
Call on the wind
My Master of Pain and Illusion walks in
Spirit of light, points a Finger
Spirit of light, comes to saves us to
The Temple of Fools
The Tower of Sin
Spirit of light, points a Finger
Spirit of light, comes to saves us to
The Temple of Fools
The Tower of Sin
Through the long dark days I wonder
No stars to light my way back home
I found no trace of Angels
I curse the demons in my Mind
There's a trick of the light, sweet
Call on the wind
My Master of Pain and Illusion walks in
Spirit of light, points a Finger
Spirit of light, comes to saves us to
The Temple of Fools
The Tower of Sin
Spirit of light, points a Finger
Spirit of light, comes to saves us to
The Temple of Fools
I know that face from another place in time
Looks so familiar, so ageless and divine
This cannot be he has not aged a day
I caught his eye and I had to look away
Forever Young, what secrets do you keep?
This can't be real I knew him from before
This Vagabond, this Charlatan, this Whore
To see him now, a freak from my dark past
Was that a smile of knowing as he passed?
Forever Young, what secrets do you keep?
Forever Young, what secrets do you keep?
Together forever, we'll be Forever Young
Timeless, ageless, What secrets have you locked away?
Try to breathe, try to hide, are you dying on the inside?
Oh Oh Forever Young
Tomorrow's gone and forgotten
But I can still hear your song
Forever Young, forever young, forever
Oh Oh Forever Young
Timeless! Ageless!
What sectrets have you locked away?
Graceless! Godless!
Scream at the night!
Oh Oh Forever Young
The curse of time does not fall down upon his head
Forever Young, screaming please let it end
A thousand times a day
I'm all alone in my shell
It's the prize I'll pay
When I drag you through hell
When I close my eyes
I watch the waves rise and fall
And as a turning tide
I'll fly to tear down your wall
And when the lights start fading
I'll be back for some more
In the night you feel me you fear me
I believe you're shooting a dead end
Let the light face me
Can't you see I'm blind and fooled again
But it feels like a drug circling around in my blood
And it keeps repeating
Morning comes alive
And the fields turn to gold
But I can't deny
All my fears have grown cold
This stranger on my side
Has a way for goodbyes
Another way to hide
Rising, I’ve climbed the top of the mountain
I’m looking down at the fools as they stand on the hill
Where angels fear to tread
Holding all life in your hands you dance with denial
You open the floodgates to Hell and it won’t be denied
I’ll see you burn
Watching the end of the world
The end of the world
Watching the end of the world
Only a blind man fails to see
Fallen, fallen from grace, hear them calling
Forgotten souls that once gave their lives for this
madness
And angels still fear to tread
I have seen things that were once only told in your
nightmares
Where darkness descends on this world and your life’s
in ruin
I’ll see you burn
Watching the end of the world
The end of the world
Watching the end of the world
Only a blind man fails to see
Watching the end of the world
The end of the world
Watching the end of the world
Only a blind man fails to see
Only a blind man fails to see
This is for the ones standing up to the system
Yeah you know who you are, stay on point with the mission
Look to the left, the right, it all seems the same
Everybody's pointing fingers in a blame game
And it's a crying shame theres no change, just strain
It's like we're all in such a rush to flush it all down the drain
We gotta take it down brick by brick until we find the head cornerstone
We gotta polish it up 'til it shines like it once shone.
This is for the ones who think the dream can be achieved
And to those who beat the odds and grew up true to their beliefs
Everywhere you turn they try to trip you on your path
Just to end up a statistic or a number in a graph
Take the slow road when the world spins too fast
Stick to your guns and you'll look back and laugh
This goes out to anyone still standing at the end
With your heads held high by the truths that you defend
You're born you go to school you get a job and then you die
All the while pay out the ass to support their lie
It's a wonder more people aren't wondering why
Baptist, don’t let self-righteousness reign
Methodist are weary, what do the Pentecostal say
Catholicism, graven images are not the way
Episcopalians stand on their creeds…
but they’re all man-made.
The Mormon church twist the word to unbelief
The Buddhist pray to a god who remains asleep
New age religion denies the fact of absolutes
And now mankind has assembled a church of prostitutes.
But the Son Of Man, Jesus Christ, He is alive
In belief or in denial, He’s the same for all time.
He never came for the righteous man
But for the lost, He gave it all
You cannot add or take one thing from Him
He will always be The Cornerstone
Jesus is The Cornerstone.
A house divided, it will never stand
One mind and spirit is what He demands
Let this mind be in you which is in Christ
Love our God and love your brother with all your might.
