Bajjika or Vajjika (Maithili:বজ্জিকা Hindiवज्जिका) is an Indian language spoken by about eleven million people^[1], mainly in the western part of Muzaffarpur District, Vaishali, East Champaran and West Champaran districts of Bihar and about eight hundred thousand people in the adjacent regions of Nepal.

The language is widely spoken in the Western part of Mithila region.^[2] It is similar to Maithili and Angika.^[3] Sources such as CIIS and The Ethnologue regard it as a dialect of Maithili language.^[4][5] However, in the 21st century, there have been claims for an independent status for the language within the same family of Bihari languages.^[6]

"Lakshmi Elthin Hammar Angna (2009)" is the first formal feature film in Bajjika. Sajan Aiha Doli le ke came after that.^[7] Many Bajjika films have been made before and after that. But, they were categorized as Maithili Films, as no clear border exists between Bajjika Maithili and Standard Maithili.

Sana Khan is an Indian film actress and model. She is perhaps best known for her appearances in ad films, her item numbers in Indian films and for her performance as Janu in the 2008 Tamil film Silambattam.

Sana Khan, whose father is a Malayali-Muslim from Kannur and mother Saeeda is from Mumbai,^[1] worked as model at her birth place Mumbai, appearing in more than 30 ad films alongside the likes of Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar.^[1] She later on, appeared in item numbers in films such as E,^[2] Bombay to Goa ^[3] and Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal,^[4] before she was signed in 2008 do to the lead female role in the Tamil film Silambattam opposite Silambarasan, who approached and offered her the role.^[1] Playing a talkative, tomboyish brahmin village girl in the film,^[1] she won rave reviews for her performance as Jaanu and the ITFA Best New Actress Award in Singapore.

Subsequently, she has been signed to do two more Tamil films, Thambikku Indha Ooru with Bharath, Aayiram Vilakku with Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj and "Payanam" with Prakash Raj, Nagarjuna, Rishi and others
