Anthony Stewart "Tony" Woodcock (born 6 December 1955) is a retired English international footballer who played professionally in both England and Germany as a striker. He won the European Cup in 1979 with Nottingham Forest.

Born in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, Woodcock started his career at Nottingham Forest, whom he joined as an apprentice in 1974. After loan spells at Lincoln City and Doncaster Rovers, Woodcock broke into the Forest first team in 1976-77, helping the team to promotion to the First Division. Under Brian Clough, Forest went on to win the First Division title and Football League Cup in 1978 (Woodcock winning the PFA Young Player of the Year award that year as well), and the European Cup in 1979. He also scored in Forest's victory over Southampton in the 1979 Football League Cup Final.

He made his debut for England in 1978 against Northern Ireland; he would go on to win 42 caps for his country (scoring 16 goals), and play in the 1982 FIFA World Cup.

Woodcock was signed by West German side 1. FC Köln for the 1979/80 season, where he spent three seasons. He scored 28 goals in 81 matches for the German side.

Stirling Austin Mortlock AM (born 20 May 1977 in Sydney) is an Australian professional rugby union player. He has scored over 1,000 points in Super Rugby, and nearly 500 test points for the Wallabies. Mortlock is a former Wallaby and Brumbies captain, and the current captain of the Melbourne Rebels.

Mortlock began playing rugby with Lindfield Juniors. Mortlock was educated at The King's School in Parramatta, Sydney. He represented Gordon Juniors at Colt level and still represents Gordon at club level today. He represented Australia at Under 19 and Under 21 level before pursuing a professional career with the Brumbies.

In 1998, Mortlock joined the ACT Brumbies. He succeeded George Gregan as ACT Brumbies Captain in 2004 and played every game that season except the final due to injury and thus was unable to lead the team to claim the Super 12 title that year.

Then Wallaby coach Rod McQueen plucked Mortlock out of club rugby at the young age of 20 to tour Argentina with the Wallabies in 1997.

The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History is a 1978 book by Michael H. Hart, reprinted in 1992 with revisions. It is a ranking of the 100 people who, according to Hart, most influenced human history.

The first person on Hart's list is the Prophet of Islam Muhammad. Hart asserted that Muhammad was "supremely successful" in both the religious and secular realms. He also believed that Muhammad's role in the development of Islam was far more influential than Jesus' collaboration in the development of Christianity. He attributes the development of Christianity to St. Paul, who played a pivotal role in its dissemination."

The 1992 revisions included the demotion of figures associated with Communism, such as Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong, and the introduction of Mikhail Gorbachev. Hart took sides in the Shakespearean authorship issue and substituted Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford for William Shakespeare. Hart also substituted Niels Bohr and Henri Becquerel with Ernest Rutherford, thus correcting an error in the first edition. Henry Ford was also promoted from the "Honorary Mentions" list, replacing Pablo Picasso. Finally, some of the rankings were re-ordered, although no one listed in the top ten changed position.

Andrew Hore (born 13 September 1978 in Dunedin, New Zealand) is a rugby union player who plays for Taranaki in the ITM Cup. He has played for the All Blacks since 2002, in which time he has played 48 tests. His position is hooker. In June 2011 he was let go from the Hurricanes Super Rugby team after spending ten seasons with the capital side. He will join the Highlanders for the 2012 season.

Hore debuted for Otago in 1998, and in 2001 shifted to Taranaki, with whom he has remained til present.

Hore made his Super Rugby debut for the Crusaders in 2001. In 2002 he shifted to the Hurricanes, with whom he made 92 appearances. In 2011 he was controversially released by coach Mark Hammett and in 2012 will join the Highlanders.

Most recently he was selected for the All Blacks 2011 Rugby World Cup squad. In the final pool match of the tornament, he was selected to captain the side against Canada when both Richie McCaw and Dan Carter were injured and unable to play.

Vivian Alexander "Viv" Anderson MBE (born 29 July 1956 in Clifton, Nottingham) is an English football player and coach, who played for clubs including Nottingham Forest, Arsenal, Manchester United and Sheffield Wednesday in the 1970s and 1980s. He is also notable for being the first black football player to represent England in a full international match.

Anderson had broken into the Nottingham Forest team during 1974 and became a regular after the arrival of Brian Clough as manager of the East Midlands club, then in the Second Division, in January 1975. He was part of the side that won promotion to the First Division in 1977, winning the title, along with the League Cup, a year later.

Anderson was one of the first black players to represent top English clubs at the time, and regularly suffered racial abuse from fans of rival teams. He was regularly pelted with bananas and targeted with racist chants.

When Anderson received the call-up for England in 1978, coach Ron Greenwood was insistent that no political issue was at stake, despite the ever rising number of young black stars in the game, born and raised in England. There was no doubt that Anderson was playing outstandingly in a form team that season and got his call-up entirely on merit. A gangly, awkward figure, he was a much-admired tackler and was also quick going forward and occasionally scored vital goals. Vindication for his selection on merit was further supplied when Anderson was part of the Forest team that retained the League Cup and then clinched the European Cup in 1979 with victory over Malmö. He also helped Forest retain the League Cup that year.
