Zennor /ˈzɛnər/ is a village and civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The parish includes the villages of Zennor, Boswednack and Porthmeor and the hamlet of Treen. Zennor lies on the north coast, about 6 miles (10 km) north of Penzance, along the B3306 road which connects St Ives to the A30 road. Alphabetically, the parish is the last in Britain. Its name comes from the Cornish name for the local saint, Saint Senara.
Zennor Head is a coastal promontory north of the village. The cliffs rise over 200 feet (60 m) from the sea and the highest point of the headland is 314 feet (96 m) above sea level. The village itself is at a height of around 360 feet (110 m).
Zennor lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Almost a third of Cornwall has AONB designation, with similar status and protection as a National Park.
About a mile east of the village is the Zennor Quoit megalithic site.

A mermaid's image is carved on a 500-year-old bench that sits in St. Senara's church in the village of Zennor in Cornwall, England. Legend has it that a mermaid visited that church and fell in love with a young man with an exceptional singing voice. This video tells that story

A trip round the peninsula, visiting Zennor, Porthcurno and Mousehole, June 2007
Open top upper deck ride on modern bus via Zennor, Morvah, St Just plus several other villages and farms. In my view this is one of the most scenic bus rides in the UK. If you are ever in the St Ives or Penzance area I highly recomend this journey, but it only runs in the summer months so check before you go.
The South West Coast Path is England's longest waymarked long-distance footpath (and one of the longest in the UK) and a National Trail. It stretches for 630 miles (1,014 km), running from Minehead in Somerset, along the coasts of Devon and Cornwall, to Poole Harbour in Dorset. Since it rises and falls with every river mouth, it is also one of the more challenging trails. For more info please visit at : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_West_Coast_Path south west coastline map southwest coast path luggage transfer southwest coast of england southwest coast path closures southwest coast path circular walks southwest coast path cycling southwest coast path walking holidays southwest coast path guide books
Breathe fire - I'm knee deep in your lies
where's the guy above - he's my alibi
no sign, no helping hand as the going gets tough
I lost all my faith, all hope in mercy from above
I saw the pope kissing concrete a mile away a hundred children bleed
White lightning - stop frightening give me a deep breath of live
white lightning - I'm gonna play it my way and it's so dark inside
Where's the lord - who let all these children die
the church pretends the mess we're in back in the real world
where weird things affect our live
look into the future unholy visions will rise
They showed me jesus wearing a cross next a bald child, bone cancer she's lost
A white lightning a white lightning
