Nathaniel Narbonne High School (NHS) is a school located at 24300 South Western Avenue, in the Harbor City area of Los Angeles, California.
Narbonne serves grades 9 through 12 and is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Narbonne serves the Harbor City area and the city of Lomita.
Narbonne dates back to 1925. The school was named for Nathaniel A. Narbonne, a sheep rancher, who owned most of the land in this area. The original brick school building, from when Narbonne covered 7th through 12 grades, is in Lomita, and is now Alexander Fleming Middle School. In 1957 the new school was built on the present site at 242nd Street and Western Avenue. The school motto is "Domus Victorum" which means "Home of the Victors." Narbonne's colors are green and gold. The school's mascot is the Gaucho, which is often regarded as an Argentinian cowboy. The official fight song for the high school is "Onward Narbonne!" which is a variation of "On, Wisconsin!" – the official state song of Wisconsin as well as the fight song of the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Narbonne (French pronunciation: [naʁ.bɔn]; Occitan: Narbona; Latin: Narbo) is a commune in southern France in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. It lies 849 km (528 mi) from Paris in the Aude department, of which it is a sub-prefecture. Once a prosperous port, it is now located about 15 km (9.3 mi) from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. It is marginally the largest commune in Aude, although the capital is the slightly smaller commune of Carcassonne.
Narbonne is linked to the nearby Canal du Midi and the Aude River by the Canal de la Robine, which runs through the centre of town.
Narbonne was established in Gaul in 118 BC, as Colonia Narbo Martius. It was located on the Via Domitia, the first Roman road in Gaul, built at the time of the foundation of the colony, and connecting Italy to Spain. Geographically, Narbonne was therefore located at a very important crossroads because it was situated where the Via Domitia connected to the Via Aquitania, which led toward the Atlantic through Toulouse and Bordeaux. In addition, it was crossed by the Aude River. Surviving members of Julius Caesar's Legio X Equestris were given lands in the area that today is called Narbonne.[citation needed]

Sean Riley is the current host of the National Geographic Channel's World's Toughest Fixes in which he travels around the world performing on-site feats of engineering.
Riley was raised on a secluded walnut orchard in Redding, CA before attending the University of California, Santa Cruz. He majored in theater and while originally intent on acting, became particularly interested in set design mechanics. It was during these years at UCSC that he grew increasingly involved with the technical aspects of rigging and lighting, primarily for the purposes of live performance, rather than the more industrial purposes his talents are applied to on television. Riley left UCSC without fulfilling the general education requirements prescribed by the university.[citation needed] Nevertheless, Riley utilized his hands-on training, when he moved to San Francisco and began rigging and electrical work for a number of independent and local operations. After enjoying moderate success, Riley founded Gravity Design, Inc., an independent rigging company based in San Francisco, California.
