Ken Bennett (born 1959) is a Republican politician and businessman who served as president of the Arizona Senate, and is currently serving as the Secretary of State of Arizona.

Bennett was born in Tucson into a family that were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). He later moved to Prescott, Arizona, where he attended Prescott High School and Yavapai College. Between terms there he served a two-year mission in southern Japan. In 1981 he transferred to Arizona State University and graduated with a degree in accounting.

In 2008, Bennett was named Chief Executive Officer [CEO] of GeoBio Energy, a company attempting to develop and market alternative fuel from plant sources such as algae. Bennett served as CEO of his family fuel distribution business, Bennett's Oil Co., from 1985 to 2006.

In 1989, several underground petroleum storage tanks owned by Bennett's Oil Co. released petroleum into the environment. In the years following, Bennett's undertook various remedies to decontaminate the area, paid for by its insurance company. Bennett's insurer, Federated Mutual Insurance, submitted five separate applications to the state for periodic reimbursement of the cleanup costs. The first four were approved, but the last was denied under a recently enacted act limiting reimbursement to costs not covered by insurance. Bennett's appealed the denial in court, arguing that the law was intended only to prevent double recovery, not to limit the state to providing only secondary insurance. The court affirmed the state's interpretation of the law and denied reimbursement.

Michael "Mike" Coffman (born March 19, 1955) is the U.S. Representative for Colorado's 6th congressional district, serving since 2009, and a former Secretary of State of Colorado. He is a member of the Republican Party.

Michael Coffman was born on March 19, 1955 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, to Harold and Dorothy Coffman, and is one of five children. His father served in the United States Army at Fort Leonard Wood, and after 1964, at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado.

In 1972, Coffman enlisted in the U.S. Army, and was assigned to a mechanized infantry battalion. The following year, he earned a high school diploma through an army program. Leaving active duty for the U.S. Army Reserve in 1974, he entered the University of Colorado, graduating in 1979. He also studied at Vaishnav College in Chennai, India, and the University of Veracruz in Mexico for a year. Upon graduation from the University of Colorado, Coffman transferred from the Army Reserve to the United States Marine Corps in 1979, becoming an infantry officer. In 1983, he transferred from active duty to the Marine Reserves, serving until 1994. In 1983, he created an Aurora, Colorado-based property management firm, serving as senior shareholder until 2000.

Vito Colonna (born Italy) is a retired Italian-American soccer player and coach. He played at least ten seasons in the American Soccer League and coached for at least one.

Colonna attended Cleveland State University, playing on the soccer team from 1968 to 1971. By the end of his four seasons with the Vikings, he had marked himself indelibly in the Cleveland State record books. He holds over a dozen records including the school’s career scoring record of 65 goals. He holds the seasons scoring record with 22 goals and is third on the all time assists list with 33. His junior season, Colonna was selected as an Honorable Mention (third team) All American. He was inducted into the Cleveland State Athletic Hall of Fame on February 6, 1983. In 1972, Colonna signed with the Cleveland Stars, an expansion team in the American Soccer League. In 1974, the team came under new ownership which renamed it the Cobras. Colonna remained with the team until 1978. In 1981, he returned for one season as a player coach. At the end of the season, the Cobras folded. During the mid 1970s, Colonna was a consistent goal scoring threat. In 1975, he led the team in scoring with fifteen goals, placing him third on the league’s goals list. In 1976, he scored nine and in 1977, added ten more, tying for sixth place in the league.

Big Eagle (Dakota: Waŋbdí Tháŋka, c. 1827-1906) was the leader of a band of Mdewakanton Dakota Sioux in Minnesota. In 1862 he and his band joined Taoyateduta and took part in a Sioux uprising. He eventually surrendered.

Waŋbdí Tháŋka, also known as Jerome Big Eagle, was born in 1827 at Black Dog village, in present-day Eagan, Minnesota. His succeeded his father, Máza Ȟóta (Grey Iron) in 1857. He along with the other chiefs and headmen went to Washington in 1858 on treaty business. In the spring of 1862, Wamditanka, Little Crow and Traveling Hail were candidates for Speaker of the Mdewakanton tribe which Traveling Hail won.

Big Eagle lead his band at the second battles of New Ulm and Fort Ridgley and also Birch Coulee and Wood Lake.

The photograph of Big Eagle was taken in Davenport during the summer of 1864. W. W. Hathaway, then the assistant commissary at Camp Kearney (the Indian Stockade, at Camp McClellen, Davenport) described the circumstances of making the File:

"I was also a personal friend of Big Eagle, the chief of the tribe confined in the pen. An amusing incident arose during the summer when I tried to get a photograph of the old chief. There was a mulatto named Jack confined with the Indians and he conspired with me to get the old brave to sit for a picture. Accordingly Big Eagle put on all his finery and paraphernalia and we went down to the studio of a photographer who had opened up his place of business down on the river road at the end of what is still known as “Hog’s Back Ridge.” Everything went well until we neared the place when Big Eagle began to remove his finery. We asked him what the trouble was and he said he would not pose unless we paid him $15" (Davenport Weekly Democrat, September 28, 1905).
