Satellite Notes for the 1200UTC chart on 18 August 2013

Issued at 11:00 pm EST Sunday on 18 August 2013

A deep low in the Southern Ocean and a cold front over southeast Australia is producing convective cloud over South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and the Bass Strait in a westerly airstream. Low cloud extends further west through the Bight and along the southern coast of WA.

Middle level cloud can be seen streaming across the Indian Ocean and over the southern WA.

The remainder of the country is mainly clear under the influence of a high pressure ridge.
