Paddy Bush (born 9 December 1952) is an English musician, instrument maker, music critic, producer and artist. He is also the older brother of singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer Kate Bush and his best-known works are his collaborations with her on all of her studio albums up to the 2005 release Aerial. Bush often plays standard instruments such as the guitar, mandolin, and harmonica, along with more exotic and unusual instruments, such as the balalaika, sitar, koto, and digeridoo. Bush is the sole European musician who has mastered playing - and making of - the Marovany, a traditional Malagasy instrument related to the Valiha. He undertook a number of extensive trips to Madagascar for filming and radio recording purposes. On one of these, Bush presented the widely screened television documentary Like A God When He Plays which also features popular Malagasy musician Justin Vali. Bush was an original member of the KT Bush Band. In 1993, Bush collaborated with Colin Lloyd-Tucker to form the band Bushtucker.

Catherine "Kate" Bush, CBE (born 30 July 1958) is an English singer-songwriter, musician, composer, dancer and record producer known for her eclectic music and idiosyncratic performances.
Bush first came to note in 1978 when, at the age of 19, she topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks with her debut single, "Wuthering Heights", becoming the first female artist to achieve a UK number-one with a self-written song. She has since released twenty-five UK Top 40 singles, including the top ten hits "The Man with the Child in His Eyes", "Babooshka", "Running Up That Hill", and "King of the Mountain". She has released ten studio albums, all of which reached the UK Top 10, including the UK number-one albums, Never for Ever (1980) and Hounds of Love (1985). She is the first British solo female artist to top the UK album charts and the first female artist ever to enter the album chart at number-one, as well as the first (and to date, only) female artist to have top five albums in the UK charts in five successive decades.
Justin Vali ranks among the greatest living players of traditional Malagasy music on the valiha, a bamboo tube zither considered the national instrument of Madagascar. He also performs on the marovany box zither of central and southern Madagascar. Vali contributed to several compilations in the late 1980s before beginning to release his own albums in 1990. In 1994 he recorded Ny Marina (The Truth) at Real World Studios under Peter Gabriel's Real World Records. In 1999 he released The Sunshine Within, a collaboration with Paddy Bush. In 2008 he collaborated with Eric Manana and other prominent Malagasy artists to record an album as the Malagasy All Stars. Vali resides in Paris and performs regularly on the international world music festival circuit, including performances on several continents with the WOMAD festival. In 2006 he was awarded the Grand Prize for Traditional Music by Société des Auteurs Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique, the French songwriters' guild.
Charlton Park Rugby Football Club, based at Broad Walk in Kidbrooke, are one of south east London's most prominent rugby union clubs. Founded in 1893, the club plays in red and white hoops.
Despite appearing in many finals (the first in 1906), Charlton Park have never won the Kent Cup. The club's greatest success saw promotion to National League Three South alongside established national league sides such as Weston Super Mare, Newbury R.F.C., Plymouth Albion and Worcester Rugby (who have since spent several seasons in the Aviva Premiership) in 1996. The First XV now competes in the London 1 South following promotion in 2014.
The club runs five senior sides (including a veterans' team), and have an increasingly strong junior set up. The Second XV compete in the Kent Metropolitan Premier League, the Third XV in the Kent Met Bishop's Finger League and the Fourth XV (known as the Fuffs) in the Kent Met Conference League. The Veterans XV compete in the annual Evergreen Cup.
WOMAD Charlton Park is the name given to the World of Music Arts and Dance (WOMAD) festival held in Charlton Park in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, England, since 2007. It is the direct successor to WOMAD Reading, which was held in the town of Reading each year from 1990 to 2006, and previous WOMADs elsewhere in England since 1986.
WOMAD festival is held on the last weekend of July, and currently lasts three and a half days, stretching from the Thursday evening to early Monday morning. The line up is predominantly World Music, but Blues, Jazz, Hip hop and Rock artists also appear.
WOMAD was pioneered by various international artists, notably Peter Gabriel in Shepton Mallet, where the first concerts took place in 1982. Peter Gabriel is still a major driving force behind the organisation and its various branches of activity in the music industry.
Reading became the regular site for WOMAD in the UK 8 years after its inception, and the festival became established there over 15 years. The first Womad Reading was held in 1990, and the last festival was held in 2006. Previous festivals had occurred in Shepton Mallet 1982, Mersea Island 1985, Clevedon 1986, Carlyon Bay 1987, Bracknell 1988, and Morecambe 1989.

There will be another tour, if not next year, the year after, and it will be marvelous. I guarantee you, we're going to be better than the last one. That will be nothing compared to what we're going to do. (Paddy Bush, 1985) It's a pity that it took 29 years to appear, but he was quite right; it was 'marvelous' in every respect. The KT Fellowship have set the bar for the 21st century rock concert.

Kate Bush was born in Bexleyheath, Southeast London, to English physician Robert Bush and his Irish wife, Hannah Daly. She was raised as a Roman Catholic in their farmhouse in East Wickham with her older brothers, John and Paddy. Bush came from an artistic background: her mother was a former Irish folk dancer, her father was an accomplished pianist, Paddy worked as a musical instrument maker and John was a poet and photographer. Both brothers were involved in the local folk music scene. - Courtesy Wikepedia. Recorded 1979

This video shows highlights from a performance of 'TAONGA dust, water, wind' in Auckland, in October 2010. "Did the message come to her on the wings of a fantail or the cry of an owl?" 'TAONGA, dust, water, wind' is a poetic dance piece in three parts. Each part is inspired by the childhood memories of Rona Williamson, a kuia of Ngai Tahu whanui. Set in 1934 during the Great Depression, young Rona, growing up in the care of her Great-Aunt in the small seaside town of Kaka Point, enters a magical landscape of her imagination. Bodies inhabit a world of seaweed, dust, feathers, water, wind and stone. A fantail echoes death, the moon and Rona-whakamautai guide the young girl, her Aunt, and the wider whanau through the struggles and phases of their lives. With bush clad hills to its back and ...

hush child lay your sweet lips on me
this greed bigger than you and me
will you come again
body
tongue tied and a visceral third degree
feel warm center of gravity
wash us all away
body never lies
will you come again
will we stay friends
oh you paralyze
there are times when I wish
that I was you
thick skinned cities you drive me through
better than me you're a women
seven days and my system is free again
we rise lose it on obvious
falling away sorry for the way
your child is on fire
lick these my ruby lips
drop your protein pills
better just to lose yourself
we kiss we kiss we kiss
pretty words could never say
