Barinas State (Spanish: Estado Barinas, IPA: [esˈtaðo βaˈɾinas]) is one of the 23 states (estados) into which Venezuela is divided. The state capital is Barinas. Former President Hugo Chávez was born in this state. His brother Adán Chávez is the governor.

Barinas State covers a total surface area of 35,200 km² and, in 2011, had an estimated population of 816,264.

Abanilla

Abanilla is a Spanish municipality located in the Comarca Oriental (composed by Fortuna and Abanilla) in the Autonomous Community of Murcia. It lies close to the border of the province of Alicante in the Autonomous Community of Valencia.

Geography

Abanilla occupies a surface area of 236.6 km² and is situated 222 metres above sea level. It lies on a natural foundation which has been degraded by a number of aggregate and marble quarries.

The remarkable Quibas paleontological site lies within the limits of the municipality.

Points of interest in Abanilla include the Old Town (containing the monument to the Corazón de Jesús), the Fuente de Algarrobo (Fountain of the Carob Tree), the Santuario de Mahoya (Sanctuary of Mahoya), and the Iglesia Parroquial de San José (Parochial Church of St. Joseph). Other sights worth visiting include the source of the River Chícamo and the mountains of Abanilla and Quibas.

Fabiola (telenovela)

Fabiola (1989) is a Venezuelan telenovela that was produced by and seen on Venevisión. This telenovela lasted 164 episodes and was distributed internationally by Venevisión International.

Synopsis

Fabiola and her family suffer the disgrace of passing from a very wealthy life to that of total poverty, after her father’s death. Doing translations and giving lessons at home, Fabiola achieves to support her grandmother Maria Manuela, her sister Marian and her brother Alberto. This is how, one day, she ends up at Carlos Alberto Roman’s house, to give him, and his little sister, lessons. But, at the same time, she wins the friendship and acceptance of the whole family: father, mother, young daughter and specially, Carlos Alberto, who fall in love with her from the very beginning. But as a typical "playboy" he tries to take advantage of her, and discovers she is not that type of girl; so he decides to forget the whole thing for a while only to realize he is truly in love with her. He returns to Fabiola to ask her in marriage. This marriage will encounter several problems but a dramatic reconciliation will bring back the faith and happiness they deserve.
