After giving the speech, it was announced that the business ethics school would be renamed the Cintas Institute for Business Ethics. Their new operating systems were being copied. Dick wanted the company to grow even more, but needed more capital. In 1983 Cintas Corporation went public. Farmer as Cintas' Chairman of the Board. Kohlhepp started at Cintas 41 years ago. He and Farmer have similar philosophies and values and says he expects the transition to be seamless. Kohlhepp said the economic downturn has been severe, but expects Cintas to come out of it better than its competitors. "The reason I say that is that we have the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd highest market share in every market in which we operate. Secondly, we have the highest customer satisfaction rating in every business we are in. Lastly we have the best facilities and most importantly we have the best people." Kohlhepp says Cintas CEO, Scott Farmer, has done a great job of cutting costs to keep the company profitable and financially sound.

The 2009 Annual Shareholder's Day Meeting marked the 26th anniversary since Cintas Corporation went public. The Cintas Heroes program was established in 2008 to recognize the contributions of Cintas partners who have made a difference in the lives of others by going above and beyond the call of duty. One Cintas Hero donated bone marrow to a stranger on Christmas; another saved a fellow Cintas coworker from choking. One partner witnessed the aftermath of a shooting at one of his stops and aided a man who'd been shot, controlling the man's bleeding with the towels and first aid equipment in the Cintas partner's truck. 4 tenured partners who had been with the company for over 30 years were treated to breakfast with Cintas executives before the meeting. These employee-partners have seen Cintas develop from very small, humble begininngs.

www.cintas.com On the Road with Scott Farmer, Cintas CEO - Cintas Safety Director took Scott Farmer on a tour of the new wash alley safety system at location #304 in Grove City, OH. This system, considered to be the most advanced wash alley system in the uniform rental industrial laundry industry, is being installed in all automated and semi-automated rental facilities company-wide. The new system takes safety to a new level, featuring a safety computer that's inside the box. It controlls everything that goes on inside the wash alley in terms of safety. If a wash alley operator needs to enter the wash alley, the system will check to see if it's safe for the operator to enter. While he's in there, no automatic motion will occur. The system is so sophistocated that a maintenance partner can be in the wash alley doing a major maintenance job on one of the washers and driers and still have the wash alley operating. The whole uniform rental plant receives extensive training on the new wash alleys. 20 are in place currently, with plans to install 106 more throughout the company.

Information Technology is one of the fastest growing career fields, however girls don't always think of it as an option for them. The perception and misconception is that IT is a male dominated field. Many women feel that there are mostly men going into IT and that IT is no place for women. Cintas Corporation, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is trying to change this perception by mentoring teenage girls at Mother of Mervy High School in Cincinnati. Cintas is part of the INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati, a collaborative effort of Greater Cincinnati Regional businesses and educators, creating an environment that gives local young IT talent a compelling reason to stay in southwest Ohio both for college and their careers. Female employees in Cintas' IT department have mentored the girls at Mercy High School, teaching them that "technology can be fun". A pilot program spun off from the successes of the INTERalliance initiative called 3GWIT, Three Generations of Women in Technology. 3GWIT partners the teenage girls that were mentored by Cintas IT female professionals with 3rd and 4th grade girls. The girls met with the 3rd and 4th graders for an hour a week, teaching them basic computer skills. Karen Carnahan, President and COO of Cintas' Document Management division was named a YWCA Career Woman of Achievement Award. The award was established in 1980 to increase community awareness and appreciation of women in the workforce. Karen, who started at Cintas in 1979 as an entry-level assistant, now oversees 1800 partners in the company's document management division. Karen was also the company's first female treasurer and vice president. She credits much of her success to many Cintas executives, including Cintas founder and chairman, Dick Farmer. "He gave me exposure to different opportunities through acquisitions, through opportunities in the finance and treasury sides of the business. As I got exposure I truly became a student of business and he really set the stage for giving me tremendous opportunities at Cintas. Karen believes that good leadership begins at the ground level. 131. BORDADO CON CINTAS. Parte 1
131. BORDADO CON CINTAS. Parte 1
Materiales. - Cintas de los colores deseados. - Tela o ropa a bordar. - Aguja grande. Como hacerlo. 1.- Dibujamos el motivo que queremos en papel para hacer el molde. 2.- Para una flor, dibujamos un pequeño circulo, al cual le vamos agregando lineas verticales, horizontales y diagonales, hasta cubrir la circunferencia del circulo. Lo calcamos en la tela deseada. 3.- Tomamos la aguja , la ensartamos con la cinta , haciendo un nudo al final de la cinta. 4.- Cada trazo que damos, vamos abriendo la cinta para que quede con el lado mas brillante hacia arriba. Así vamos cubriendo todas las lineas trazadas 5.- Para hacer el relleno del centro de la flor, tomamos otro color de cinta y la vamos introduciendo en el centro, dandole dos vueltas con la cinta a la aguja en cada puntada. De esa manera obtenemos puntitos en el centro de la flor.
