The National Movement of Switzerland (German: Nationale Bewegung der Schweiz or NBS) was a Nazi umbrella group formed in Switzerland in 1940.

The NBS had its roots in the 1938 foundation of the Bund Treuer Eidgenossen Nationalsozialistischer Weltanschauung by Rolf Henne after he was removed from the leadership of the National Front by the more moderate Robert Tobler. In 1940, this group absorbed a number of tiny Nazi supporting organisations to become the NSB under Henne and Dr. Max Leo Keller. Keller had worked with Heinrich Himmler and brought with him Andreas von Sprecher, who was SS-trained, to run the new group's propaganda department.

Keller, Jakob Schaffner and Ernst Hofmann, as representatives of the NBS, received an audience with President Marcel Pilet-Golaz where they demanded much closer relations with Nazi Germany, leading to eventual incorporation. This was followed by a Munich conference in October 1940 in which Reinhard Heydrich and Franz Riedweg invited the leaders of the NBS and other Swiss groups in order to increase cohesion. Ultimately the meeting strengthened the hand of the NBS as the remnants of the Bund Treuer Eidgenossen Nationalsozialistischer Weltanschauung as well as the Eidgenössische Soziale Arbeiter-Partei and Ernst Leonhardt's Nationalsozialistische Schweizerische Arbeitspartei agreed to be absorbed into the movement.

Switzerland (German: die Schweiz[ˈʃvaɪts]; French: Suisse [sɥis(ə)]; Italian: Svizzera [ˈzvit͡sːɛra]; Romansh: Svizra [ˈʒviːtsrɐ] or [ˈʒviːtsʁːɐ]), in its full name the Swiss Confederation (Latin: Confoederatio Helvetica, hence its abbreviation CH), is a federal republic consisting of 26 cantons, with Bern as the seat of the federal authorities. The country is situated in western Europe, where it is bordered by Germany to the north, France to the west, Italy to the south, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east.

Switzerland is a landlocked country geographically divided between the Alps, the Swiss Plateau and the Jura, spanning an area of 41,285 km² (15,940 sq mi). While the Alps occupy the greater part of the territory, the Swiss population of approximately 8 million people is concentrated mostly on the Plateau, where the largest cities are to be found. Among them are the two global cities and economic centres of Zurich and Geneva.

The Swiss Confederation has a long history of armed neutrality—it has not been in a state of war internationally since 1815—and did not join the United Nations until 2002. It pursues, however, an active foreign policy and is frequently involved in peace-building processes around the world. Switzerland is also the birthplace of the Red Cross and home to a large number of international organizations, including the second largest UN office. On the European level, it is a founding member of the European Free Trade Association and is part of the Schengen Area – although it is notably not a member of the European Union, nor the European Economic Area.

The National Movement for Stability and Progress (Bulgarian: Национално движение за стабилност и възход (НДСВ) or Nacionalno dviženie za stabilnost i văzhod), until 3 June 2007 known as the National Movement Simeon II (the acronym in Bulgarian is the same - НДСВ), is a liberal political party in Bulgaria, the vehicle of Simeon Borisov Sakskoburggotski, the deposed Tsar of Bulgaria and former Prime Minister. It was founded in April 2001 after Simeon II declared his choice to take part in the active political life of Bulgaria. The movement won 42.7% of the popular vote and 120 out of 240 seats in the 2001 elections. It formed a coalition government with the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. It has developed into a liberal party which became a full member of the Liberal International at its Sofia Congress in May 2005. During the party's term, Bulgaria entered NATO. Some years later, in 2007, Bulgaria was accepted as a member of the European Union, capitalizing on the economic and political stability, established during the term of НДСВ in 2001-2005. At the legislative elections on June 25, 2005, it received 21.83% of the popular vote and 53 out of 240 seats, a significant decrease. The party got just 3.01% of votes and no seats at the parliamentary elections of 2009. Shortly after, Simeon Borisov Sakskoburggotski had also resigned as NDSV leader on 6 July.

Ricardo Lumengo (born 22 February 1962) is a Swiss politician, former member of the Social Democratic Party of the canton of Berne.

Lumengo was born 1962 in Lussenga, Angola. He was a student activist in Angola from 1979. Persecuted by the dos Santos government, he was forced to emigrate in 1982, entering Switzerland as an asylum seeker. He was recognized as a refugee and granted permanent residence. He studied law at the University of Fribourg.

Lumengo was naturalized as a Swiss citizen in 1997 in Fribourg, and was elected to the Biel municipal council in 2004, and in 2006 to the cantonal council of Berne.

In the 2007 federal election, he was elected to the Swiss National Council, as the country's first national councillor of African origin (although there had been a councillor of mixed Swiss-African ancestry before: Tilo Frey, served 1971–1975), and the first former asylum seeker to be elected into the council.

On 19 February 2010, Lumengo was investigated for voting irregularities. While admitting to helping voters fill in their ballot papers in 2006, he rejected all accusations of trying to falsify the results.

Timothy Maxwell "Max" Keiser (born January 23, 1960) is an American broadcaster and film-maker. He hosts Keiser Report, a financial program broadcast on RT (formerly Russia Today). Keiser also anchors On the Edge, a program of news and analysis hosted by Iran's Press TV. He hosted the New Year's Eve special, The Keiser's Business Guide to 2010 for BBC Radio 5 Live. Keiser presented a season of The Oracle with Max Keiser on BBC World News. Previously he produced and appeared regularly in the TV series People & Power on the Al-Jazeera English network. He also presents a weekly show about finance and markets on London's Resonance FM, as well as writing for The Huffington Post.

In addition to his broadcasting work Keiser is known for his invention of "Virtual Specialist Technology", a software system used by the Hollywood Stock Exchange.

Keiser has been involved with markets and finance for 25 years. He started his career as a stock broker on Wall Street after graduating from New York University.
