From the physical therapy perspective one of the most important things for shoulder rehab is proper sequencing for strengthening the shoulder. Most people get this backwards or don't get it at all. Its important to do the shoulder rehab process in a 3 step process. Shoulder strengthening exercises for shoulder injury pain - First focus on strengthening your scapular stabilizers (shoulder blade and upper back muscles. Your scapular stabilizers are your base and if the base is not strong the extension or your arm will never work well. Remember the foundation comes first followed by everything else. Second group to strengthen is your rotator cuff muscles. Rotator cuff is made up of your supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor and the subscapularis muscle. These small ...

RE: Pain Around Scapula
From: www.youtube.com along with my back being so tense, i have somewhat of a numbness that comes and goes on my left shoulder blade area. it's a weird sensation.. kind of like a pinching, followed by the numbness. and it kind of feels warm, like a burning sensation. when i touch the area, i can't feel it. it's not there all the time, but a couple weeks ago it came for about a week straight. now it's sort of on and off. i've had this sensation in the past as well, in the same area. i'm wondering if this is muscle tension related? i have heard that sometimes muscle tension causes numbness, but everything i've read said it's referred pain.. say in the arm or wrist. i'm wondering what part of my body is tense to cause numbness in my left shoulder blade. not sure if you can help out, but let me know. :) thank you so much!
