Droxford is a village in Hampshire, England, lying in the Meon valley, and lies around 3 3⁄4 miles (6.0 km) east of Bishop's Waltham within the new South Downs National Park. The A32 passes through the village between Gosport and Alton. Local amenities include a post office, two garages, two pubs and a village hall.
Droxford is first recorded in history when the Manor of Drocenesforda (Droxford) was granted to the Prior and monks of St. Swithun, Winchester, by King Egbert in 826. In 939 king Æthelstan granted 17 hides of land at Droxford to his half-sister Eadburh. By the time of the Domesday Survey Droxford had passed to the Bishop of Winchester, to support the monks. This arrangement continued until 1551 when it was surrendered to the crown and it was passed on to the Earl of Wiltshire.
The Bishopric regained the manor in 1558 and then held it until the Civil War. During the rule of Parliament the manor was transferred into private hands but on the Restoration of King Charles II it was, again, restored to the Bishopric.
The River Meon is a river that flows through an area of Hampshire in southern England known as the Meon Valley, it flows generally southwards from the South Downs to the Solent. For most of its route it is a chalk stream, with a length of 21 miles (34 km).
The River Meon rises approximately one mile (1.6 km) south of the village of East Meon. It first flows due north to that village, then northwest to West Meon, and southwest to Warnford before adopting its principal southwards flow. From Warnford the river flows through the villages of Exton, Corhampton and Meonstoke, Droxford, Wickham, and Titchfield. From Titchfield the river flows some 2 miles (3.2 km) through the marshes of the Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve before entering the Solent through the small harbour at Hill Head.
Until late in the 17th century, the River Meon was navigable as far as Titchfield, which at that time was a significant port. However silting started to restrict the passage of ships, and in order to maintain Titchfield's status as a port, the Earl of Southampton proposed that a canal should be constructed (Titchfield Canal). This canal opened in 1611 and was only the second canal existing in Britain at the time. The canal also suffered from silting, so the sea trade moved to nearby Southampton and Portsmouth. As part of the construction of the canal, the outfall of the River Meon to the sea was dammed, creating the wetlands that now form the Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve.
Rob Foster (25 March 1947 – 12 March 2014) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

The road follows the path of the River Meon for about 160 meters with clearly defined (but part blocked by railway sleepers) ramps at either end. The base of the river is the hard, stony type typical of Hampshire chalk streams and is no more than about 14" deep during this pass. During winter months it can swell to over 2' deep, which can make it impassable for many users. The public footpath that runs to the side of this pretty ford is very popular ...

More information than you ever wanted about genital cutting! Cutting someone else's genitals without consent is not a good idea outside of reasons of valid medical intervention. It is not a women's issue, it is not a men's issue, it is a people issue and must be approached as such. Stop gendering ungendered problems and stop spreading misinformation and relying on knee jerk emotional propaganda to manipulate people into ignoring the real issue. The base of the river appears to be the hard, stony type typical of Hampshire chalk streams though its depth varies a lot along the length of the ford. It would be foolish not to walk the length of the river using the nearby public footpath before attempting a crossing and I estimate the river to vary from 2...
Rob Tate bringing up his century against Droxford at New Place, a few balls after fellow opener Rob Foster reached 3 figures.
Up platform waiting shelter construction and installation also I made an error regarding the railway cottages.
Part One of a flight across the Meon Valley, taking in for this first part - Bishops waltham, Swanmore, Droxford, Hambledon, Denmead, Waterlooville, Havant and on to the Northern reaches of Chichester Harbour, from there see part 2. Tom Thundercliffe piloted Golf Lima Bravo in gusty conditions. Dodgy camera work by the old man, not helped by vibration, cramped conditions, overtight seat restaints and being useless. All commentary was negated by Rotax engine noise which you forget with headsets and mics running. Aerial shot wise .. well you might recognise places between the shakes and focus instability!
The video features unique aerial shots from a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that was flown over 3 days during the summer . The video also contains shots from Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve and the South Downs National Park. Interior shots of all the Churches on the St Wilfrid Pilgrimage Trail and post-production occurred during August and September 2014 to create a 33 minute programme. A hampshire walk from Wickham including Webbs Land Farm, Botley Wood, Stonyfield Copse, Funtley, River Meon, Knowle Village, Knowle Asylum Cemetery, Mayles, and finishing on the Meon Valley Trail with a wedding taking place at Wickham Church, the bells ringing out. Lots of horses and a reunion of a pony with its mother.
A park, a pool, a .67 mile walking track, and our kids favorite part... geese!
