Directed by Giorgio Ferroni. Mark Forest claimed that this was his favorite film. Beefy Mark plays Aryan, faithful soldier/guard of Helen of Troy (Yvonne Furneaux). Both survived the destruction of Troy and end up washing ashore on a beach near Thebes. The two are welcomed by King Rameses but their unexpected presence create a myriad of political plotting within the royal family. The story is pretty much standard Peplum stuff, with people scheming and back-stabbing each other for power or wealth. The cast is pretty good and there are several stand-out scenes amongst the more pedestrian bits. The first stand-out scene is the wrestling match between Mark and Pazzafini. The battle is pretty cool but the wrap/skirt Mark (or his stuntman) wears is the stuff of legends. It's one of the best costumes worn by a male character in any Peplum. You can view the wrestling match in Part 3. The other stand out scenes are the exciting climax. Good action and fun death trap all in one. You can view the climax in part 7. Mark looks ultra pumped in this film and is the main reason to watch this S&S flick. He's not shirtless throughout the film and when he is, he was obviously in top shape then.
