Welcome to This Week in Palestine, a service of the International Middle East Media Center, www.imemc.org, for July 27th to August 2nd 2013.
Prosecution and defense rested in the Rwandan Supreme Court appeals hearing of imprisoned Rwandan opposition leader Victoire Ingabire at the end of July, and the court has said it will rule on November 1st. Congolese have marched alongside Rwandans calling for Ingabire's release since her arrest in 2010. Congolese Swiss historian and activist BK Kumbi spoke to KPFA about what Victoire Ingabire means to her as a Congolese person.
