Colleen Mary “Coco” Miller (born September 6, 1978 in Rochester, Minnesota) is a professional basketball player in the WNBA. She is the identical twin sister of fellow WNBA player Kelly Miller.

Early years[link]

Coco played basketball with her sister at Mayo High School in Rochester, Minnesota, and made it to a championship in New York, where she lost in the finals. The twins also helped their school go 27-0 and win the Minnesota state's class 4A championship. Miller was named a WBCA All-American.^[1] She participated in the WBCA High School All-America Game where she scored eight points.^[2]

College years[link]

The twins went to University of Georgia, where they both majored in biology and won a series of awards, including the James E. Sullivan Award, given to the nation's top amateur athlete. They earned that award in 1999, becoming the first pair of twins to earn the award, and joining such luminaries as Carl Lewis, Greg Louganis, Bill Walton, Bill Bradley, Kurt Thomas, Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Janet Evans as recipients of the award.

Coco was among the top ten in that school's list among women basketball players in assists and steals. She participated in the World University Games, helping her team to a silver medal. She finished her college career fifth among SEC women in scoring at 16.6, second in free throw percentage at .743% from the free throw line, and eighth in steals with 160. She was a finalist for the Naismith award as the player of the year during her final college season.

WNBA career[link]

In 2001, Coco and Kelly entered the WNBA Draft. Coco was selected by the Washington Mystics 9th overall in the 1st round, where she averaged 6.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in her rookie season. She played 250 total regular season matches for the Mystics through the end of the 2008 season, just nine short of Murriel Page's club record of 259.

On May 11, 2009 Coco Miller was waived by the Mystics; four days later she was signed by the WNBA's Atlanta Dream.

Her role in 2009 was as support and mentor for rookie point guard Shalee Lehning.

In the 2010 regular season she was sent further down the depth chart, behind Lehning and her sister, newly acquired by the Dream. However, after Kelly Miller's ankle injury, Coco received more playing time. She started the first game of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against her former team, the Washington Mystics, and in this game she scored 21 points.

Lindsay Marie Whalen (born May 9, 1982 in Hutchinson, Minnesota) is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA. She began her pro career as a point guard for the Connecticut Sun. She also played for USK Prague in the Czech Republic during the 2008–09 WNBA off-season.^[1]

High school career[link]

At Hutchinson High School in Hutchinson, Minnesota, Lindsay Whalen was a 4-time All-Missota Conference pick, and she led her team to three consecutive conference basketball championships. Whalen was a four-time honorable mention all-state selection. She averaged 22.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists as a junior.

Whalen also won a state title and placed 13th nationally with her club team, the Minnesota Jaguars. She was also an All-Conference selection in tennis and track.

College career[link]

The University of Minnesota women's basketball program rose to national prominence during Whalen's college career. The average attendance at women’s basketball games grew from 1,087 during her freshman season to 9,866 her senior year. She became Minnesota’s all-time leading scorer on January 25, 2004 against Michigan State, surpassing 1994 Wade Trophy Winner Carol Ann Shudlick. Whalen finished her career with 2,285 points, fifth best in Big Ten Conference history.

Whalen holds Minnesota career records in points, scoring average, games in double figures, free throws made and free throw percentage. Whalen is also among the top ten in field goals made, field goal attempts, field goal percentage, three-pointers made, three-pointers attempted, three-point field goal percentage, free throws attempted, assists and steals. Whalen shares Minnesota’s single-game record for free throw percentage (14–14 vs. Creighton on 12/4/03) and is the only four-time team MVP in school history.

She was a two-time Wade Trophy Finalist (2004, 2003) and a two-time Naismith Award Finalist (2004, 2003). As a senior, Whalen was a Kodak All-American First Team, made the USBWA All-American Second Team, USBWA All-American Second Team and AP All-American Second Team. She was the first Golden Gopher to earn All-American honors in three different seasons and led Minnesota to its first-ever Final Four appearance in 2004, one of three straight NCAA Tournament appearances for Minnesota. The program had been to the tournament just once before her arrival.

In the postseason, Whalen was named NCAA Mideast Region MVP for the 2004 NCAA tournament and was a unanimous selection for All-Big Ten First Team in 2004, 2003 and 2002. She was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten (2004,2003,2002), won the 2004 and 2002 Fast Break Club Award. As a junior, was a Kodak All-American First Team, USBWA All-American First Team and an AP All-American Second Team.

Whalen's jersey number 13 was retired by the University of Minnesota during a ceremony in January 2005 at Williams Arena.

WNBA career[link]

Whalen was selected the first round of the 2004 WNBA Draft (4th overall) by the Connecticut Sun. Until 2005 when Minnesota teammate Janel McCarville was selected at number 1, she was the highest drafted WNBA player ever from the Big Ten Conference. Before she even put on a WNBA uniform, she had an effect on the 2004 championship: The Minnesota Lynx made an unsuccessful pre-draft trade, sending Sheri Sam and Janell Burse to the Seattle Storm for Amanda Lassiter and the 6th pick in the draft in an attempt to get the hometown hero Whalen. Connecticut picked Whalen before Minnesota could, and the Storm had two more pieces to their eventual championship team.

In her rookie season, she was selected to play in the historic WNBA vs. USA Basketball game at Radio City Music Hall. She led the Sun to the WNBA Finals in her first and second seasons, playing injured in the 2005 Finals.

In the 2008 season, Whalen led her young team to second place in the Eastern Conference. She was the MVP runner-up to Candace Parker. She was selected to the First Team All-WNBA for the first time in her career. In the playoffs, the young Connecticut Sun could not hold off the New York Liberty as they fell 2–1. Whalen led the league in assists with 5.4 apg.

On January 12, 2010, Whalen was traded to the Minnesota Lynx in a deal that also involved Renee Montgomery. She signed a multi-year contract extension with the Minnesota Lynx prior to the team’s Aug. 12, 2010 matchup with the Los Angeles Sparks. Terms of the deal were not announced, per team policy.^[2]

In 2011, Whalen led the Lynx to its first trip to the WNBA Finals. The Lynx were dominant, and finished the regular season 27–7, good for the best record in franchise history and the best record in the league. Playing alongside a healthy Seimone Augustus and rookie sensation Maya Moore, Whalen led the WNBA in assists with 5.9 per game.^[3] Because of her team's success and her high level of play, Whalen was cited as an MVP candidate.^[4] She ultimately finished fifth in MVP voting, and was named First Team All-WNBA for the second time in her career.

USA Basketball[link]

Whalen was invited to the USA Basketball Women's National Team training camp in the fall of 2009.^[5] The team selected to play for the 2010 FIBA World Championship and the 2012 Olympics is usually chosen from these participants.^[5][6]

Whalen was one of 21 finalists for the U.S. Women’s Olympic Basketball Team Roster. The 20 professional women's basketball players, plus one collegiate player (Brittney Griner), were selected by the USA Basketball Women’s National Team Player Selection Committee to compete for the final roster which will represent the USA at the 2012 Olympics in London.^[7]

Todd Joseph Miller (born June 4, 1981), better known as T. J. Miller, is an American actor and stand-up comedian.

Life and career[link]

Miller was born in Denver, Colorado. He attended East High School. Miller then attended the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where he was a member of the comedy group receSs and the Lambda chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa.

Stand-up comedy[link]

Miller was selected as a new face in the 2007 HBO Aspen Comedy Arts Festival.^[1] He appeared as Marmaduke Brooker in the TV series Carpoolers. Miller has co-hosted on the comedy radio show Red Bar Radio a number of times.

Miller was named one of Variety magazine's Top Ten Comics to Watch in 2008,^[2] and also one of Entertainment Weekly's 12 rising stars of comedy.^[3]

On December 13, 2010 and October 28, 2011, he performed stand-up on Conan.

Miller plays Hudson "Hud" Platt in the 2008 feature film Cloverfield. In 2009, he played Cessna Jim in The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard. In 2010, he co-starred in She's Out of My League as Stainer, provided the voice of Tuffnut in the animated film How to Train Your Dragon, played Brian the Concierge in Get Him to the Greek and appeared in a supporting role in the film Unstoppable. He also played Dan in Gulliver's Travels, released in December 2010.

Miller played the supporting character of Ranger Jones in the live-action Yogi Bear 2010 film.^[5] Unlike his character on the cartoon show, he is "dumb-but-not-in-a-funny-way," according to the Buffalo News.^[6] Miller was cast in the part after two auditions; as a joke, he sent Warner Bros. an improvised video audition with an actual bear, though he had already been offered the part before they received it.^[7][8]

In 2011, he appeared in the film Our Idiot Brother.

Tyler James Williams (born October 9, 1992) is an American actor,rapper and voice actor. He is most recognizable for having played the title character of the Chris Rock-inspired sitcom Everybody Hates Chris.

Life and career[link]

Williams was born in Westchester County, New York, and raised in Yonkers, New York.^[1] His mother, Angela Williams, is a singer/songwriter, and his father, Le'Roy Williams, is a police sergeant.^[1][2] Williams has two younger brothers: Tyrel Jackson Williams (b.1997) and Tylen Jacob Williams (b.2002). His younger brother Tyrel is also an actor, and stars on the Disney XD show Lab Rats.

Williams previously starred in Little Bill as the voice of Bobby, briefly replacing Devon Malik Beckford in 2000, and played himself (or an eponymous character, "Tyler") on the children's show Sesame Street from 2002–2005.
