The crowd started out as a fairly modest gathering (Ultimately grew to 110 people). The wall and buildings in back of us are part of Fort McNair, where Major General Buchanan , who will make the final decision on Bradley Manning, is staying. If the decision is a good one and he acknolwedges that Manning is a legitimate whistleblower, then this will be our last demonstration on Manning's behalf. If not, we'll conduct at least one final one. Update: Good news and really bad news. The "aiding the enemy" charge was dismissed, but Manning got a sentence that could stretch to 138 years. Consider that "Bradley Manning’s alleged disclosures have exposed war crimes, sparked revolutions, and induced democratic reform. He is the quintessential whistleblower."
