The Carter is a 2009 documentary film about Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., also known as Lil Wayne. The film was directed by Adam Bhala Lough. The Carter documents Lil Wayne in the period before and shortly after the release of Tha Carter III and was filmed between 2007-2008. During the filming of The Carter, no interviews with Lil Wayne were conducted by the filmmakers who shot in a completely Cinéma vérité style. Although he initially agreed to the film, it was later subject to a lawsuit by Carter, who objected to the film's release after the second screening at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Evidently Carter's attempts to block the film were a reaction to the film's depiction of Carter's heavy use of marijuana and cough syrup as recreational drugs. Despite Carter's attempts the film was released on November 17, 2009 after a judge threw out the case. The independently distributed film topped iTunes movie charts in its first week of release and Huffington Post called it "one of the top five greatest hip-hop documentaries of all time."

John R. "Johnny" Cash (February 26, 1932 – September 12, 2003), was an American singer-songwriter, actor, and author, who has been called one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Although he is primarily remembered as a country music icon, his songs and sound spanned many other genres including rockabilly and rock and roll—especially early in his career—as well as blues, folk, and gospel. This crossover appeal led to Cash being inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
Cash was known for his deep, distinctive bass-baritone voice; for the "boom-chicka-boom" sound of his Tennessee Three backing band; for his rebelliousness, coupled with an increasingly somber and humble demeanor; for providing free concerts inside prison walls; and for his dark performance clothing, which earned him the nickname "The Man in Black". He traditionally started his concerts by saying, "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash." and usually following it up with his standard "Folsom Prison Blues".

It has been sleeping for centuries and centuries
In R'LYEH it resides forced by sleep
By them who want to reject the eternal obscurity
And they want to fight the human race
Human destiny is graven it will arise
It will fight the ancient master and will tear the human souls!
Earth will meet the night when sunrise will be dark
YOG-SOTHOTH knows the seven gates
When stars will be faded and moon will never shine
Everything from deep will burn through a bleeding sky
Human destiny...
The creature re-appears from darkness
They will come back and the gates will be opened
It has been...
Step inside The Corridor
feel your soul invade your senses
spirits at the gates of winter
ready for the season's countdown
so it goes, the gate is open
all yout past remains in silence
but your future is unsure
you plan to go away
Never thought that your mind was away
never threw away your wantings
never kept you by my side
now you belong, you're obviosly mine
Jinny come down, Jinny come down
close your desires or burn them with fire
Jinny come down, Jinny come down
and feel me...
Seven strangers on your door
feeling like you were behind them
listen to, wide handded knocks
emission of the sound of wisdom
so it goes the door is open
all your past remains in silence
now your future is for sure
our plan to go away
our plan to go away...
Never thought that your mind
was away
never threw away your wantings
never kept you by my side
now you belong , you're obviosly mine
Jinny come down, Jinny come down
close your desires or burn them with fire
always dreaming, always screaming
close your eyes
and feel me.
It's time to dip dive dip
You might break a hip
To the sound that's legit
I've come to make a hit
I usually bust scratches with my man, C.L. Smooth
But, I decided to get wreck on this groove
As I provide the slide
You're going on a ride
I know the weather's nice
There's no need to play the outside
Guess who's on the flyer
The man of your desire
Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth all the honey-dips admire
Beats are rough and rugged
Pete Rock is the creator
Now I'm busting raps while switching cross-faders
Making sure my sound hits from here to Grenada
Honey gave me skins, man, I told her friends I ate her
But, wait up
I save this subject for later
But, it's time to catch wreck with the creator
I'm addicted like a stoag
Not into vogue
(Yo, Pete, there's a girl on the phone)
Tell her to hold 'cause I'm busy kickin' rhymes to the rhythm
Fortified with soul 'cause that's what I give 'em
Honeys form a line form a line 'cause I always seem to capure
Beats made of rupture
Rhymes made of rapture
Far from illiterate
Always seem to get a hit
If you try to step to this
Don't even consider it
Skins when I want 'em
But, only when I eat 'em
To set the record straight, I'll be damned if eat 'em
Call me Pete Rock
I make the girls flock
And if you want a beat like this, I got them in stock
So, flow with the flow
Because you know I'm good to go
As I proceed to get wreck on your stereo
Not an imitator
Just a crowd motivator
But, it's time to get wreck with the creator
Now, C.L. Smooth, cut it up like this
(scratching)
Now, I'm'a take a try
And get a piece of the pie
If they give me one sec
To get some wreck
Never filled with anger
A good body banger
If you try to step to this you'll get hung on my hanger
Before I say good-bye
Suckers gave a good try
But, point blank you just can't see this
My word is beneficial
Pete Rock is the issue
And I know you know my style is official
I might give a scratch
(Yes, cousin)
Or I might kick a verse
(No question)
Either one, I can't be seen
Honeys call me tall and lean
And if you want to stick around
I'll show you what I mean
Not an imitator
Just a crowd motivator
But, it's time to get wreck with the creator
It's time to get wreck with the creator
Get wreck with the creator
The creator
C.L. Smooth, get busy
Here I sit
Upon the sands of time
Holding visions
Deep within my mind
Wondering now
I look up to the sky
To know someday
I am going to die
Sit back and time will tell
Facing fears I know too well
The creator knows it's time
Living life is so sublime
Killing time
They say that life is just a game
Although the fear is gone
I still can feel the pain
Heaven knows
It's all just a matter of time
Now I see
I step into the corridor – I'm not alone
red light flashes – the sound drills to my brain
I see movement on the edge of my vision
someone's running to me
I raise my hand against the shadows
I stop him knock him while the red glows
...got to get out from the corridor
I take the clothes and keys – the shoes don't fit
I take the money but leave the cards
I’ve lost some time now I have to act fast
I run for my freedom
The doors open – I'm in the elevator
I press the button – and head to the first floor
...I got out from the corridor
...I got out from the corridor
I know they must be waiting for me
I already hear them speaking
Leave the elevator before they get me
I use the stairs to elevate me
I got myself into another corridor
that leads to green light – my salvation
The street welcomes me – the night's embrace holds me
gently
I gaze into the horizon that skyscrapers incise
I take steps I smell the dioxide in the air
I hear a sound and turn around – two points of light
