Everything discussed inside and outside the Legislative Assembly related to the solar scam will come under judicial enquiry, said CM while briefing the media on Cabinet decisions. Every aspect of the case will be probed. It is with this intention that such an extensive ToR was given shape to. CM also said that anyone can raise any issue related to the scam, which will also come under the scope pf the judicial enquiry. Monthly mess charges at pre-metric hostels has been increased from Rs 1300 to 2000, post-metric hostels from Rs 1500 to 2300 and at model residential schools from Rs 1300 to 2000. The daily mess charge of Ayyankali Memorial Residential Sports School has been increased from Rs 100 to 130. The additional expense in this regard will be Rs 4.39 crores. Five new government colleges will start functioning this year itself. It has been planned to start three courses in each of these colleges this year itself, if facilities are already in place. These colleges are at Balussery, Trithala, Chelakara, Kattakad and Thalassery.
