Australian pair Brett Rumford and Greg Chalmers are hoping for a home victory when they commence play in the ISPS HANDA Perth International on Thurday. "I wouldn't say that it started slowly [his season] early, made a lot of cuts early , had a lot of results that unfolded that were 19 to 21st that seemed o just happen a lot early on so I wasn't really building momentum with top tens and top fives and getting myself in contention but I was certainly playing well enough. I just had one of those first halves of the year where I'd hit really well and wouldn't hole anything or I would hit it a bit scrappy and my short game would save mebut I just couldn't quite combine everything together. "Through he middle part [of his season] was probably my worst part, through the most important part of the season, hrough the biggest tournaments, the French Open the Irish Open, the Tour Championship, qualifying for the British Open I just had a real flat sport through there. I was only missing cuts by one or two so I gues it gets magnified when you start to miss cuts." GREG CHALMERS: "I've had a really nice year, I think it was 25 starts and 20 made cuts, but not enough oppurtunities to win. It something that certainly after my summer here in Australia last year I'd hoped I would have an oppurtunity to win some tournaments.
