The Cross were a side project of Queen's Roger Taylor that existed from 1987 to 1993 and released three albums. Although the drummer in Queen, Taylor fronted The Cross as rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist. On its debut release, the classic rock band incorporated dance influences which they dropped on their remaining two albums. The band never enjoyed much commercial success.
Taylor formed The Cross while Queen were on hiatus after the Magic Tour in 1986. He recruited Queen's tour keyboardist, Spike Edney, but advertised for the remaining musicians. When the band was formed, guitarist Clayton Moss, bassist Peter Noone (not to be confused with the Herman's Hermits singer of the same name), and drummer Josh Macrae were unestablished in the field. Taylor himself never played the drums in The Cross.
The band's albums and singles were not commercially successful, although they did manage to reach the British charts with several and they enjoyed moderate success in Germany. The first album, Shove It, was released on Virgin Records in 1988. Largely a solo project for Taylor, who had written the songs prior to forming the band, the album and the three singles it spawned did reach the charts in the UK, where it also received some positive press. The band toured in support of the album before Taylor took a short break for the 1989 Queen album The Miracle, for which there was no tour.
William Franklin "Billy" Graham, Jr. (born November 7, 1918) is an American evangelical Christian evangelist, ordained as a Southern Baptist minister, who rose to celebrity status with national media backing of William Randolph Hearst and Henry Luce in 1949. His sermons were broadcast on radio and television, with some still re-broadcast today.
Graham is notable for having been a spiritual adviser to several United States Presidents; he was particularly close to Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard M. Nixon. During the civil rights movement, he began to support integrated seating for his revivals and crusades; in 1957 he invited Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. to jointly preach at a huge revival in New York City, where they appeared together at Madison Square Garden, and bailed the minister out of jail in the 1960s when he was arrested in demonstrations.
Having built an evangelical empire and organized huge events worldwide, Graham has personally preached the Gospel to more people than any other person in history. His institutions include a variety of media and publishing outlets. According to his staff, more than 3.2 million people have responded to the invitation at Billy Graham Crusades to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. As of 2008, Graham's estimated lifetime audience, including radio and television broadcasts, topped 2.2 billion.

Brian Johnson (born 5 October 1947) is an English singer and lyricist who has been the lead singer for the rock band AC/DC since 1980. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, along with the other members of the band.
In 1972, Johnson became one of the founding members of the glam rock band Geordie. After a few hit singles, including UK Top 10 "All Because of You" (1973), the band split up in 1978 then to be reformed by Johnson in 1980. But after signing a new record deal, Johnson was asked to audition for AC/DC, whose charismatic frontman, Bon Scott, had died on 19 February 1980. A fan in Cleveland sent a tape of Johnson performing with Geordie to the band's manager Peter Mensch. Mensch recommended him to the band.
AC/DC lead guitarist and co-founder Angus Young later recalled, "I remember Bon playing me Little Richard, and then telling me the story of when he saw Brian singing." He says about that night, "There's this guy up there screaming at the top of his lungs and then the next thing you know he hits the deck. He's on the floor, rolling around and screaming. I thought it was great, and then to top it off—you couldn't get a better encore—they came in and wheeled the guy off!'" Johnson was diagnosed with appendicitis later that night, which was the cause of his writhing around on stage. The band agreed immediately that Johnson's performing style fit AC/DC's music. Johnson's first album with AC/DC, Back in Black, became the third best-selling album of all time.
Black day, stormy night
No love, no hope in sight
Don't cry, he is coming
Don't die without knowing the cross
Ghettos 2 the left of us
Flowers 2 the right
There'll be bread 4 all of us
If we can just bear the cross
Sweet song of salvation
A pregnant mother sings
She lives in starvation
Her children need all that she brings
We all have our problems
Some BIG, some are small
Soon all of our problems
Will be taken by the cross
Black day, stormy night
No love, no hope in sight
Don't cry 4 he is coming
Don't die without knowing the cross
Ghettos 2 the left of us
Flowers 2 the right
There'll be bread 4 all, y'all
If we can just, just bear the cross, yeah
We all have our problems
Some are BIG, some are small
Soon all of our problems, y'all
Will be taken by the cross
The cross
I carry the cross, if Virgin Mary had an abortion
I'd still be carried in the chariot by stampeding horses
Had to bring it back to New York
I'm happy that the streets is back in New York
For you rappers, I carry the cross
Y'all can keep y'all weak beats, from your corny producers
There's a new king of the streets, you're gonna get used to
I was the old king of the streets, that y'all once hated
But now I reinvented myself, and y'all all waited
NAS, N.A.S. mean Niggaz Against Society
Noisy I aim not silently, noose all surroundin me
I hang 'em I string 'em up ain't no thing I just drop 'em
to which doctor you copped and you locked and it ain't what it was
I changed it up from that pop shit it's hard to see R&B;
rappers arguably, started fuckin up the game horribly
Cause, I parted the sea, then these novices targetted me
Bitches infatuated say they love me lyin to me
What I've discovered is my brother's tryin to be
the next me, yeah I support him but he's blinded I see
jealousy he love me to death am I buggin I love him for life
We both still mournin on our mother's, life
And I don't need much but a Dutch, a bitch to fuck
A six, a truck, some guns to bust
I wish it was that simple, the last emperor, hit yo' ass
with the Nasty Nas, diary, get out my path
I can't keep a bitch cause none of them come up for a little Des
I can't be too rich, too many hoes, lined up for sex
I can't rest until my niggaz in houses with pretty maids
Water and flowers in 'em
While my niggaz walk around in they trousers grinnin
Gotta keep a lot of heat; 30 cals 10 millimeters
40 cals plus the heckler, to set y'all straight
You too light? I shoot your freckles out
You too dark? The infrared show you what the tec about
Huh? I'm stressin out, need more offices for bosses
Secretaries and meetings with big sharks, who mad greedy
We can sell mo', boats on the coast
Give, coats to the po' and give, hope to the broke then live low
But that ain't reality, I look happy but under the sky
You see a nigga who know, out of three women 2 out of 3
will love you but lead you to they own, hidden evil
BITCH! You the reason niggaz be beefin, hoe get on
'Posed to be Earth, ain't worth the pussy that you sit on
From here on, it's a new day
Million dollars ain't, what it was yesterday
Many problems, many niggaz, most involved but they fake
Hope y'all relate
Hey, do you remember me
I finally found the strength to face
The pain you made me feel
I always held my tongue
And all the things you've done to me
Are secrets to reveal
I'll never let you do this to someone else
No I could never live with myself
How dare you use my shame
To play your wicked games
With the mask you're wearing
And now you gotta make amends
For the demons in my head
I'll nail you to the cross
The cross I'm bearing
You, you said you'd save my soul
And sacrificed the innocence
That I will never know
Now it's time that you confess
They say the devil doesn't rest
Until the truth is told
I'll never let you do this to someone else
No I could never live with myself
How dare you use my shame
To play your wicked games
With the mask you're wearing
And now you gotta make amends
For the demons in my head
I'll nail you to the cross
The cross I'm bearing
The cross I'm bearing
I believed in love
I believed in trust
I believed in you
You became my God
I believed in love
I believed in trust
I was young and so naive
You were God and I believed
You made me kneel
You made me feel
Like it was all my fault
But now I know it wasn't mine at all
How dare you use my shame
To play your wicked game
You gotta make amends
For the demons in my head
You held me down in chains
And made me take the blame
How long have you been like this?
Is there anything I can do?
One can only imagine what you've been through
How long have you been waiting?
It looks like you could use a friend
If I put you back together could you start again?
Would you start again?
Tell me father, when will I get my cross?
Tell me father
Tell me how many pieces
Does it take to make you whole?
Maybe I should take you home,
And neither of us would have to be alone
Tell me father, when will I get my cross?
Tell me father
Tell me father, when will I get my cross?
Tell me father
I thought she was havin' trouble, so I stopped to lend a hand.
I didn't see that wooden cross behind her Chevy minivan.
I said "sorry ma'am" she said "that's alright, most folks drive on past."
She told me the history even though I didn't ask.
"It's been 14 years today since I took his name.
And a year ago December when we got that freezin' rain.
I'm not one to blame God, but at first I took it bad.
Now I've learned to count the blessings, every moment that we had.
"I don't come to mourn his dying, but to celebrate his life.
Ya know, death can never stop a love between a husband and a wife.
There's something 'bout me coming here when I'm feeling lost.
When I need to find my peace of mind, I just come to the cross."
I got back in my pickup truck and I drove away in tears.
Thanked God for a family and every moment we've had here.
Cause who knows what tomorrow holds or what's waiting round the bend?
And every time I pass a wooden cross, I hear those words again.
"I don't come to mourn his dying, but to celebrate his life.
Ya know, death can never stop a love between a husband and a wife.
There's something 'bout me coming here when I'm feeling lost.
When I need to find my peace of mind, I just come to the cross.
the wind of spring blows in heaven
in the land of gold in the land of god
manipulate the holiness
maculate our loneliness
shining between two worlds
learning to win and hold
fraction of monopoly
tension of opposite's pole
give or take what has to move
for I will fight for my country
Eldest to the one and I
harvest of love and light
armless - amnesty
North south east and west the cross is sent over the lands
keep draining what was and will be in our time in our life
pilot soul takes you on the ride, no rise no fall for Humankind
Among the best survive or leave
paranoid night so hard to relieve
would you betray innovation
in the name of tradition
hopeless - amnesia
North south east and west the cross is sent over the lands
keep draining what was and will be in our time in our life
pilot soul takes you on the ride, no rise no fall for Humankind
Helvetia gloria still smile behind the shade of shame
cross your faith, join your hands tomorrow holds another day
Eldest to the one and I
harvest of love and light
dictated by war and hate
supported by those who hide
it lives in your mind
whatever you may say
whoever you may pray
Nothing's ever changed, you still turn away
You've washed your hands, you've made that all too clear
You just keep on living this lie
You refuse to see, you're denying me
The cross I bear but you don't seem to care
Even Judas knew he had lied
I keep wondering why
I'm still calling your name through my tears
Why have you waited to embrace me, my dear?
Cold is your silence, denying what is real
I'm still wondering why
I'm still calling your name, my dear
I'm sorry if you can't stand the naked truth
All you see is how you want it to be
So you keep on living your life
Release me from this cross after all these years
Oh, call my name and help me with this weight
Even though it comes far too late
I keep wondering why
I'm still calling your name through my tears
Why have you waited to embrace me, my dear?
Cold is your silence, denying what is real
I'm still wondering why I'm still calling your name
And I wonder, oh I wonder
In my heart I still hope you will open the door
You can purify it all, answer my call
Why? Why?
Why have you waited to embrace me, my dear?
Cold is your silence, denying what is real
I'm still wondering why I'm still calling your name
And I wonder, oh I wonder
In my heart, I still hope you will open the door
I love the smell of burning bridges
Can't help but bite the hand that feeds me
I love to raise my middle finger
It's become a habit I'm gonna keep
But I'm calm
I'm coolheaded
But if I only could
You know I Goddamn would
NAIL YOU TO THE CROSS!
NAIL YOU TO THE CROSS!
NAIL YOU TO THE CROSS!
NAIL YOU!
Each time I see your face I get a headache
Something about you makes me sick
It's plain disgust that makes my hands shake
Your face needs to make friends with my fist
But I'm calm
I'm coolheaded
But if I only could
You know I Goddamn would
NAIL YOU TO THE CROSS!
NAIL YOU TO THE CROSS!
NAIL YOU TO THE CROSS!

Jesus Your blood it washes me

Jesus Your blood it covers me

Jesus Your blood it makes me clean

Lord Jesus Your blood it makes me free
Chorus
A E6 Dmaj7 E6
The Cross, Your Blood, I Come, O Lord Forgive me
A E6 Dmaj7 E6
Night calls upon my betrayal
Morn sees me denied three times
Believe in God, believe also in me
I am the way, the truth, and the Life
The truth I leave within you
You Judas, hear your fate and then carry it out
Once Satan's entered you, you'll turn right about
And Peter give your life up, or so you say
Instead your knowledge of me shall be erased
They take me away, to cast me from the world
My love won't die
Father forgive them, for they know not what they do
I have been judged to die upon the cross
These thorns released my earthly blood
Still hold your faith, aside from what you see
Bearing my cross, bearing all your sin
Oh, Golgotha, to the place of the skull
You sheep within my flock hear the truth of my life
The nails deep in my flesh, the pierce of the knife
Though evil strung me up and started time anew
Know that my life was given up for you
red river flows down the skin of his face
step by step he's walking through the mist life ordains
died by the hand of men who preach in the name of god
silver moonlight shines on the eyes of emptiness
see the signs written on the wall
see the signs
standing on the hill of blame, warm summer rain falls down
he always knew that he would die at the hand of fools
the grief in his soul hurts hard more than his wounded flesh
see the cross burn with the light of hell that
shines on the land of hate
see the signs written on the wall
see the signs
see the cross white crosses
there follow days without a light
see the cross
they burn them down tonight
see the cross white crosses
if you believe, it's not a lie
see the cross
Verse I:
To some it's just an emblem a formality.
It's a symbol that's been used so frequently.
Many blaspheme and despise.
Though it's ancient, it abides.
A shrine to death that stands for life to me.
Chorus:
There was a cross made for the Son of God at Calvary.
Two pieces of rough timber on a hill.
Through His hands and through His feet,
He took the nails for you and me.
Angels watched as He died for the lost.
Though He could have walked away He chose the cross.
Verse II:
You see why this old emblem is so dear to me.
It stood for suffering, yet it brought us peace.
It bridged the gap for me.
Offered cleansing for our sins.
An icon that reminds us that we're free.
Bridge:
God forbid that I should ever let my memory fade.
I see you hanging there,
Nailed to a splintered wooden beam,
Drinking pain and sorrows,
Breathing agony.
And in those dark, dark hours,
As life drained from Your flesh and bones,
I know my life had its beginning at Your cross.
And I thank You, thank You:
For the cross, where You bled,
For the cross, where You died,
For the cross,
Where You've broken satan's back.
For the cross, where You won,
For the cross of victory,
For the cross,
Where You paid the price for me.
You were my substitute
In laying down Your life for mine,
Being cursed and bearing
The wrath of God for me.
You were crushed by sin,
Your punishment has brought me peace,
And by the wounds You suffered
I'm alive and healed.
And I thank You, thank You:
Two days in the grave,
Then You rose up from the dead –
Now You reign in glory,
Rule in righteousness.
And I was raised with You,
Free at last from all my sin,
Safe forever in the shelter of my King.
The sin of the world was placed upon Him, leaving our filthy stains.
His holy body was placed in the earth for three days and three nights.
He descended low into the earth, the place where spirits where held.
He took the keys of hell and death, plans of the enemy failed.
Into hell and back again, capturing captivity.
Into hell and back again, openly.
The battle has been won.
The tomb is empty; He's alive.
He ascended on high.
This is my cross
And I can't change it this is mine
I got the strength
To live with
All my mistakes and demons
I try so hard to refuse and avoid
The chance to fall
I hate this now my weakness
It takes me to the edge
It's multiplies in my blood
I can't control it anymore
Control it anymore
I - I stay alive
I will be stronger
Bring me torture
I - I stay alive
When I bare the cross
I - I stay alive
I will be stronger
Bring me torture
I - I stay alive
When I bare the cross
My cross
I take it back
This is mine and I won't sacrifice
All my life for something to someone
Who lives on lies
I have my cross to bear to bear through my life
This is the dark the unknown the curse I have inside
It's multiplies in my blood
I can't control it anymore
Control it anymore
I - I stay alive
I will be stronger
Bring me torture
I - I stay alive
When I bare the cross
I - I stay alive
I will be stronger
Bring me torture
I - I stay alive
When I bare the cross
My cross
Sweet darkness
Temptation
I can't refuse
The cross
Can't you realize it? that I'm suffocating from you
Eli, Eli Eli Lema Sabactani!
Oh, why hast thou forsaken me?
Eli, Eli Eli Lema Sabactani!
Why love asks for so much pain?
Rough wood scorches my skin
Each step is harder
Pain, deep like a sin.
Blood over my eyes
But I can hear
Yesterday friends laughs.
My heart won't bring me up there
Breath doesn't come.
Laughs everywhere.
Pitiless sun burns my throat
No friendly faces
To calm this thirst.
Who's him, what did he do?
A fool who had a dream
A lover without sin
Law won't allow a king with no crown
John, brothers, where are ye?
Peter,
Denying me.
Love doesn't fear wounds,
Father,
But this poor body shakes...
Nails through bones
A cross is made
Pain makes us all the same
These two men
At my side
Would deserve a better fate.
I won't go
I won't leave
As he didn't leave me
I was lost
With no pride
Then one day he smiled.
Silently a woman cries
Little whispers of pain
Fading slowly at sunset
Three crosses in the rain
No, father!
Not her, no!
This is not for her eyes
Now I know,
Bring her away
This is a price well paid
Seventh hour
One single cry
I know it's over now
Donno how
So much to say
But I just ran away
Silently a woman cries
Little whispers of pain
Fading slowly at sunset
Three crosses in the rain
T'was a price well paid
The corpse seems to smile
The cross has been thrusted
Another chapter has begun in damned history
Empires seeking, destroying and conquering
Thousands of lives were taken away and exposed to
diseases
Women raped, men mutilated
Children separated from their parents
Blasphemies and injuries
Blasphemies and injuries
Lust, greed and power
The ones who chose to be free were persecuted
Judged and condemned
And paid with their own lives
The survivors carried the memories
All the suffering, all the injustice
Who's gonna pay for it?
Who's there to blame?
Poor souls wandering through the darkness
People were blinded by beliefs and doctrines
Our history is tainted with blood
[Music & lyrics - P. Craddick]
I am weighed down by this pain
I am blackened by this stain
But I can't complain
We have to choose and deal with the rest
I must meet this challenge
I must pass this test
Have to work with what I've got
Have to walk before I run
No point in always looking back
The past can't be undone
And I have this cross to bear
Can't pretend it isn't there
Trust, once broken, so difficult to repair
Trust me, though
To try and make it there
Life is truth and dare
We have to choose and deal with the rest
In this labyrinth of options
This pitfall ridden quest
Have to work with what I've got
Have to walk before I run
No point in always looking back
The past can't be undone
And I have this cross to bear
Can't pretend it isn't there
The nails are driven in
But not all the way
There's no tragic necessity
Tomorrow can be a better day
So here I sit, alone
Peruse my thoughts, survey my heart
And work to reconstruct
This whole that's splintered into parts
Life is a dare
We have to choose and deal with the rest
I must meet this challenge
I must pass this test
Have to work with what I've got
Have to walk before I run
No point in always looking back
The past can't be undone
And I have this cross to bear
Can't pretend it isn't there:
Yet this pain behind your stare
