CYCLING: Title in Elmi's grasp


SELANGOR'S Mohd Elmi Jumari consolidated his overall lead in the National BMX Circuit after winning Round Four in Malacca on Sunday.

It was Elmi's third win in the series and is poised to land the overall title in the final round at the same track on Dec 16.

The final saw Elmi cruise to victory, more than four seconds ahead of second placed teammate Mohd Fareez Burhanudin.

"It's a great feeling and I'm thankful. It's three wins and one second place, so I'm looking good to winning the overall title in the final round," said Elmi.

Women's Open: 1 Nur Nasthasia Nadiah (Sin) 55.071s, 2 Nurul Kamilah Din (FCC) 55.739s, 3 Nur Najwa Mohd Idris (FCC) 1:10.713s.
