Track 6/10 from Interloper (Leftfield Records LFTFLD08, originally released on Ultimae). On the steps of Init, this track seems the natural follow-up of the previous track, slow-paced and ethereal as well. A long introduction made of a piano melody reverberates into the distance while the everchanging background enters and exits our field of view. The time seems elastic, the environment aquatic, the light filtered through a crystal clear water above us. I guess that's how a memory would look like if it was a tangible thing ; evasive, always avoiding a way to fit in a square box. The voice of Karin My Andersson, originating from multiple sources, sounds ubiquitous as soon as it appears at 5:20. Supporting the previous atmosphere, the nymphic speech loops as only a part of it was remembered. A divine intervention that definitely sets the track into a liquid territory, reassuring but never giving us a full control over the situation. We can always swim, but we won't be in our depth though. After all, this is the story of this album : we can listen to it and enjoy it as much as we want, but it will stay untamed anyway...
